  • Definitely one of our finest day hike loop trails in Wa State! Along with 6 lakes and lots of wildflowers, the views continually change with panoramic scenes in every direction as you complete the circuit. Usually you'd need to backpack several days to find this much variety!

I don't have anything else to say except that your videos are just the best. I can't get enough of the pure joy you experience in these wonderful places, it really exemplifies the thrill of being out in nature that a lot of us experience.

That was awesome, I live on Vancouver Island BC. and Mr Baker looks so majestic on a clear blue sky day. With the clouds, it can't be seen.

A great fine video of this trail. I swam in Iceberg Lake 2 years ago. I have done a lot of hiking and snowshoeing in the Mt. Baker area the last 3 years; absolutely a beautiful place.

I spent my birthday that day taking my 6 year old daughter out there for an overnight on Arbuthnot Lake, just past Hayes Lake. We hiked the loop counter clockwise and enjoyed so many beautiful views. Thanks for sharing your video!

is this trail hike-able in mid-June?

No easy answer because snow levels vary so much in recent years. Call the ranger office early June to check.

Damn! I just went (July) and it was cloudy and rainy, and there were some views, but after about 30 mins too much fog rolled in. I'm sure this video doesn't do this place justice. I was a little disappointed. :(

Have you tried fly fishing any of those lakes? When do you think the freeze is off of them?
