Beautiful monte, fyi might want to change fan clutch when you get a chance. I noticed was still spinning alot after you finished cranking. Great series here with this monte. Keep it up bro.

Another tip would be, don't use aftermarket carbs. Try to use or rebuild the original carb.
It's too late for these two projects. Aftermarket carbs work just fine as long as they are properly tuned. My 79 has a stock set up, and I'm planning on keeping it as stock as possible when it comes to the engine. That's if it's still good. If the engine is bad, then I might do an engine swap.
where are you pouring the water in? or is it something else? I have am 82 buick that I'm working on.

With my 78 I have to pump the pedal twice and just let the starter prime the fuel pump.
What color is the Monte? And what can I expect to pay for a lint job like that considering minor body work?
The Monte is Midnight Blue Pearl. For something like this, you're looking at 8k plus
It’s probably got bad gas. It seems like it’s not firing right. Timing, spark and fuel.
Yeah, that's probably it. I just finished rebuilding the carb, and there were a lot of clogged passages. Little by little, I'll start getting it running right again 💪💯. Thank you for watching🤝
