@Woody Last Name, while the Pearly Gates are clearly a Christian term, your faux outrage is unnecessary. Jew believe in returning to God. While they aren't as focused on an afterlife as Christians are they certainly do believe there is something else out there when we are gone. You know Harry meant no offense to Landers so stop trying to stir up shit. I'm an atheist myself and take no offense at any of it.
God rest his talented soul forever and ever and thanks for laughter and joy in this world David Lander aka squiggy you will be greatly missed by all of us who have the opportunity to remember you fondly as squiggy
I call my oldest grandson Squiggy because he says Hello every time he comes into a room. He is 14 so I had to show him this video so he would know who Squiggy was.
@@melindakilgore3088 I may not have been alive before the 1991 but I love living through the 60's 70s and 80s every day via TV on CHCH. Right now it's I love Lucy, Bewitched, Sanford And Son (My all time favorite) Laverne and Shirley, Hogans Heroes, One Day At A Time and The Jeffersons but other greats have been in the schedule too like I Dream Of Jeannie, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Bob Newhart Show, Newhart, Charlies Angels. We may have the golden age of tv today when it comes to everything else but those were the golden days of comedy on tv.
I nicknamed a cat Squiggy cause every time I come into the room he's in he whines in that same tone at me. His name at first was Squeaker because of his high pitched whine when he was the runt kitten. He's outgrown his siblings and has a more husky squeak now, hence the new nickname. Had to show my Daughter this vid since she didn't get it. Loved the show when I was a kid.
Never even knew his name. Just looked up "Hello girls", because it's been in my head for years, and found this. His entrances were what made the show for me when I was a kid. Really didn't care so much about the story line, but those entrances. They were something. RIP David.
"If there's two more pathetic people than us right now, I'd like to see them!" --Laverne [Lenny and Squiggy plow through their apartment door] "HELLO!" --Squiggy.
Coming here to cheer myself up abit after hearing about David's passing R.I.P. David L. Lander You will be missed alot but I'm glad you brought tons of laughter and joy with your performances (I don't know if that came out corny but I tried)
Their timing on that show was incredible, but they left out maybe the best one ever. In one episode a huge bear had somehow gotten into Laverne and Shirley's apartmen, when Squiggy walked in and said "Hello..." Lenny immediately said "Goodbye!" and they ran out! LOL
+jennifersman No kidding? I don't remember that one. Just cruising youtube now, and remembering my mom. This was her favorite tv show. My favorite episode was when the girls had to act a commercial where they were in the talons of a pterodactyl, and were being repeatedly slung around in foam claws.
+yoyoBrando what I remember about that one was Ed Marinaro (future Hill Street Blues actor) was playing some friend of Laverne's and trying to find a job in Milwaukee
Squiggy ruled. When I was in first grade, I thought Squiggy was the funniest guy around (until Mork showed up). Also, being of Italian descent, I thought The Big Ragu was the coolest dude ever!
The costumes at 00:37 were from the 1965 TV special "Alice Through the Looking Glass." Agnes Moorehead originally wore the Red Queen costume, and the Smothers Brothers were Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.
I love this, but what's missing is all of the same "Hellos" with the comments the girls made just before their entrance. A list like that would be phenomenal.
@@michaelcummingsherrera1232 It would be like a video compilation of Maynard G. Krebs coming in and saying, "You rang?" without the comments that preceded his entrance.
And by the time he was reunited with Julie Kavner, who he previously worked with on Rhoda, it could be the Yiddish-sounding Marge Simpson who declared Squiggy "ruined." Penny's work as a neighbor of Mary Richards, who like Brenda and Rhoda Morgenstern was created by Simpsons co-producer James L. Brooks, set the stage for Laverne DeFazio as well.
R.I.P. David L. Lander. Nobody made an entrance like you.
Except maybe Kramer from seinfeld, his entrances are funny too. Both classic entrances. Lol
Thousand percent agree. One of the most recognizable entrances in television history,

@Woody Last Name, you were being a douche and you know it.
I guess I am kind of off topic but do anybody know a good place to stream new movies online ?
Right about now the pearly gates are being thrown open and all heaven hears is "HELLO!!!!!!"
This is true.
Goodbye Squiggy...you were one of a kind - and always brought a smile and a laugh.
Rest in peace David. You were a very important part of my youth.
@Woody Last Name My Mom died of cancer when I was 10. My brother and I used tv as a moral booster. But thanks, dick.
Mine too. Condolences on the loss of your mother.
Rest in peace with Laverne in the big hello in the sky Squig. Thanks for the laughs
RIP David....You brought a lot of laughs and smiles to the whole world
Just showed this to my teen age daughter, she loved it. Their contribution is timeless.
Such a happy part of my childhood, funny funny man. The both of them together, lightning in the bottle. Rest in peace David.
Another icon from my childhood is gone :'( RIP Squiggy
Lenny and squiggy were the best. RIP squiggy 🖤

Watching this after hearing of his passing !GOODBYE sir and THANKYOU
Goodbye...

I prefer to think of him as waiting until I get through the Pearly Gates and the first thing I hear is "Hello".
I call my oldest grandson Squiggy because he says Hello every time he comes into a room. He is 14 so I had to show him this video so he would know who Squiggy was.
I loved Laverne and Shirley and I still do with reruns. Comedy at it's best with it and Happy Days! Oh, for the 70's again!

Before Kramer there was Squiggy.
Exactly!!!!!
Hello becomes goodbye.
RIP David Lander
I still enter the bath room on my wife “Hello” style like Squiggy lol. She hates it! Rip and thanks for the memories.
If only I saw your show squiggy you always make opening a door and say hello entertaining

Now god has someone else to say hello to him
I remember driving our teacher in middle-school nuts when we'd all come in saying ' HELLO' LOL
The “hello” where Squiggy walks in laughing is very funny. 😁
RIP David Lander.
You had me at hello.
Damn...these guys never knock! So Funny!!!
Before Squiggy or Kramer there was Ed Norton on the 'Honeymooners' with Jackie Gleason.
Great call!
Truth!!!😂
One of the greatest duos ever created!Rip David-Squiggy-genius
these guys were the best part of the show.
Rest In Peace Squiggy
I like the way Squiggy would say "Hello!" when they came through the door.
R.I.P David L. Lander. We will miss you. Hello😂😂😂
Grew up watching these 😭
I was waiting for Squiggy to come in saying, "Hello. I'm Shelley Duvall."
I hope he did that when he got to Heaven’s door. RIP Squiggy.
Just showed this to my 23 year old son, because he kept asking why I named our puppy Squiggy.........now he knows. 😂

RIP David Lander. Came over here from his work as the Brickster on the 1997 game: "Lego Island".
Lenny = Fonzie without any game
"Goodbye", Squiggy. 😪
How did those doors 🚪 stay on the hinges. 😂 as much as they slammed against the wall. Great memories. RIP Penny Marshall 🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀

I had such a super crush on Squiggy as a kid.

Hello.. And Goodbye my friend. David Lander. RIP 12/4/2020.
I've never understood why they don't lock their apt. door.
I never used to back in the day.
And these relentless stalkers followed them to Los Angeles!
It seems no one on TV ever does. LOL! That's always been a pet peeve of mine!
:50 killed me 😂😂😂😂😂
Ikr!🤣🤣
This is awesome.
The "hellos" @ 0:49 and 0:52 always make me laugh until my stomach hurts.

This is what David Lander said to Penny Marshall when he barged into her room in Heaven. This exact way.
That episode where they enter and Squiggy is on Lenny's shoulders - what episode is that?
Nick at Nite once had a commercial for L&S based on Squiggy's "hello."
