In regard to the Disneyland pirates not getting their comeuppance, in the original version, there's a last scene of pirates trying to push a load of treasure up out of the burning town that segues into skeletons who died doing the same thing. That ties everything back to the skeletons in the beginning and the narration about cursed treasure. There's definitely some suggestion that the pirates didn't make it out of the burning city, or if they did, they didn't make it very far. I have a lot of old memories of the scene, as one of the animatronic pirates was in a really funny pose. Also, Haunted Mansion had a plot, but a simple one everyone overlooks.

@@soulslvr9562 I think it depends if they knew what they were doing like Kaa or the Hyenas.
@@nicholassims9837 i was asking OP why they thought the Carnotauruses were their fav villains. I got no clue! Thats why i asked
I regard Constance Hatchway as my favorite female Disney villain. Which is a strange thing for some people to hear, because she’s very obscure.

Oh so excited for this video
I suppose what Walt meant was that he didn't want to glorify real-life criminals like the James brothers, as opposed to the pirates in Pirates of the Caribbean who are presumably all fictional.
You should see Jeffrey kitsch’s video on the 101 Dalmatian villians
I swear to God, the Shin Megami Tensei and Persona games have ruined Mara for me. I kept chuckling during his section. If you know, you know (and please don't look it up if you don't know)
I definitely like that the paris version of the haunted mansion ahs aproper villain, and a pretty cool looking one too. Love that he's actually a walk around character and note just stuck in the story of the ride.

When you continue to do the rest of the villains 🦹♀️ from Disney’s animated films 🎥, do the villains 🦹♂️ from Pixar’s animated films 🎥 please.
He'll be thinking about it, or maybe a new villains retrospective series this time focusing on the various villains of DreamWorks Animation, both in the feature films & Animated series.
Don't forget about Kingdom Hearts and Nightmare Before Christmas as well.
Persona fans when they hear Mara: *snickering like idiots*
8:58 Well, Jesse James was also a Confederate, so that might have something to do with it, given Walt was born in Illinois
damn it, every time i hear about Beastly Kingdom i get upset that it never happened >:(
I cant unhear Darth Vader now when hearing Mara. Thanks Colin
Is no one going to mention how Colin mispronounced Grey DeLisle's name?

though i dont get why disney had the phantom of the opera. isnt he an universal owned property?
He is
Actually, he's in the Public Domain.
If I had to make a wild guess, I'd say that Disneyland had the rights to use the character for a while in the 60's, given that they had the movie playing in the Main Street Cinema.
The Chaney film is in the public domain. You may have noticed Universal tends to favor the Claude Rains Phantom when it comes to released and such
Dodie Smith got the idea for 101 Dalmatians after a friend joked that Dalmatian spots would make good fur coats.
You pronounced Grey DeLisle's name wrong. It's "DEE-lyle". And nowadays, she goes by Grey Griffin.
Hi there. Here is the question I have always wanted to know...is the movie of the Haunted Mansion with Eddie Murphey relate to the Haunted Mansion of Disney Land and its other homes around the world?
Yes, definitely. Part of it was even filmed on site.
I’ve really enjoyed your retrospectives and I’m a big Disney and Pixar fan. Just to check, are you eventually going to go over the Pixar villains too?
He is, check the community tab for more info
So what made you decide to use stock Kevin MacLeod music for your videos instead of disney music?
You really want to deal with RUclips’s copyright system when it comes to the most controlling corporations on the planet that won’t even let their characters be used in a daycare?
The Evil Alien bears a slight resemblance to the vengeful Demona from Disney's Gargoyles.
Bob chapek is my favorite parks villain
He’s my second or third least favorite

45:36 - Stick around for that video as I have something similar to that.
Disney should replace that small playground in the middle of the river in Frontierland with The Western River Expedition
Would there even be enough space?
