I’d love a new leaf remake 🥰 I want to work in the coffee shop again
It’s certainly strange, since I feel like it has not been long ago since New Horizons release, the graphics hold up very well. It just needs enhancement, meaningful characters, something driven around villagers rather than customization.
Nintendo took so long to make ACNH because it needed entirely new graphics, mainly HD ones which they never have done before on AC, now with the HD assets of ACNH they can recycle them on newer games and cut a lot of time from development. Keep in mind that ACNH released in 2020, if this new AC game were to release, it'd have a window of time of 6 years since ACNH, which is pretty normal for AC games.

A New Leaf HD remake would be a day one purchase for me. Loved Horizon but New Leaf felt like it had more depth. Working at Brewsters to get rewards instead of just buying coffees for instance.
Hi Mori! I just wanted to clarify, they´re not talking about an "Animal Crossing Ultimate" edition. It´s more like the ultimate Animal Crossing game, a completely new game
I would absolutely love an New Leaf remake! The whole collecting badge idea I love! The whole thing they for NH with nook miles is like it, but I like the concept of collecting badges as your progress.
If they Remake New Leaf, i will buy it straight away. I poured over 550 Hours into the game on my 2DS XL, and would love to see it getting a remake on the Switch.

As someone who only has played the GameCube AC and ACNH, I would take any AC games even a remake of an old one.
Keep in mind that Animal Crossing and Splatoon share a dev team. Splatoon is still in its update cycle, so there's probably minimal work happening on the next Animal Crossing game, if at all.
Forget the remakes! New Horizons is the only Animal Crossing game I’ve ever played but I’d rather see them continue forward than remake an existing game

Actually, someone sent Nintendo a letter saying they want ACNL on the Nintendo Switch, and they got a response from nintendo!
I hope they do remake ACNL on the switch!
A 3rd New Leaf would not be ideal

I believe you can. you just won't be able to play any of the online games on kappn's island and you won't be able to do anything online with friends and stuff

Honestly, not having permanent brown skin tones in the previous games was kind of a bummer.

Honestly, I’d only be interested in ACNH DLC or a new mainline game (obviously).
Yeah, the animal crossing series isn't the type that would really benefit from a remake. Each game is essentially the same premise already. If there are features or elements from previous games that you liked, you should ask for them to come back in the next game. But a remake seems unnecessary.
Honestly I'd rather just see them pad out the time to the next game by bringing back support for ACNH. At this point I don't think any of my friends are coming back to the game, but I'd fire it up again if we got new items to play with and maybe some new villagers, new clothes. Obviously would love something more to do in multiplayer than just run around each other's islands but even just giving us more items to decorate with, letting us have more save files and making the Happy Home design sharing hub more interactive would inspire me back into the game for a bit.

I would love if they remake the first original animal crossing game cube HD with little upgrades more storage and can place item outside the house
An "Ultimate" version that has every villager "Everyone is here" would be pretty sweet, even if otherwise it was just NH + DLC (maybe some ported Pocket Camp items as a bonus gift too).
Low effort "Next-gen" gift for the fans.

I don't think it's too good to be true Mori, I think it's a nightmare scenario for the game. It's already so far removed from the village simulator that it once was.
Honestly the title doesn’t even sound right 😂. Ultimate edition? Really? That doesn’t sound like a title from animal crossing.
im sure both are fake, and me personally i dont see a need for a remake of another animal crossing game, i think it would be wiser for them to work on a new game rather than remake, then after that then possibly look into a remake... but i also believe the next game will come out early for the next system (within about a year of release)

I heard about the New Leaf HD but not the ultimate or enhanced version of New Horizons which sounds absurd imo but I instantly thought the New Leaf HD idea was fake as much as I'd want it to happen. It sounded way too good to be true but I'd be absolutely ecstatic if the New Leaf HD idea was in development at some point in the future as it was one of my favorite installments in the series along with the GameCube being up there on my tier list of ranking games in the series. The music, the town development and growth, Mainstreet and Tortimer Island along with the addition of Harvy's Campground. It all just meshed so well together in a more compact and better way than New Horizons. Don't get me wrong, it brought some shiny new ideas to the table, but also some awkward or odd ones too making it a more gimmicky game from the previous installments which isn't necessarily bad per se, just not something I wanna see them pursue as a staple to the series in the future. I think one of the best next steps for the series is to go back and rerelease an older game in the series either in the form of a port or an HD remake. One that's not too harsh or judgemental like the first 3 installments, but New Leaf had that perfect balance of neighbors having emotion but not robotically boring and easy to get along with like they are in New Horizons.
I LOVE NH, and part of me just wants them to add things on to it, rather than making a whole new game. Add premade towns i can visit, give me quests to do, give me rewards, give me back multiplayer minigames. Give me SOMETHING else yo do, im tired of running in circles on my island with nothing left to interest me.
I'd say take any rumor not supported by the red bird himself with a grain of salt.

New mainline game would more likely be on a new console. For a NL remake I would hope the PWPs (well, all large outdoor furniture) could be fully interactive....I wanna see them riding on the Merry go round

I haven't heard of the Ultimate version, but New Leaf HD is most likely not going to happen, because that would be a step back since New Horizons has put out a lot more.
Even if it’ll be like an animal crossing new leaf revamp that’ll still have features from new horizons that’ll be great

I do think that the next Animal Crossing game has a high chance of releasing in 2026, but I strongly doubt it would be what this leak suggests. Also a New Leaf remake doesn't seem too unlikely given how there doing Luigi's Mansion 2, but this leak is also not true given how its in a VERY UNLIKELY Nintendo Direct.
