I suffer from depression and PTSD and whenever it gets really dark in my head Amy's voice still comes to me and helps me through those moments. Please also listen to ‘Talk to me’. Like no other Amy is able to bring sadness and melancholy in a song or she creates an haunting atmosphere with her music. If you listen to her earlier music and lyrics on Fallen, the open door and the songs she wrote before Fallen, a lot of them have that sad, haunting or melancholic feel. It's very unique. Don't know why but I love it.
My interpretation of the visuals is that she is a ghost. Clad in flowing white, she walks the fountain, lie on a roof or sit in a tree. Life goes one around her, but she is not part of it. It's a metaphor for deep sorrow and so are ghosts. It is esthetics like these, that has made Amy Lee a goth icon for decades. I really love this song. It is one of those songs that has such a deep emotional connection, that I only have to hear a few notes before I tear up.

Also, Static Heaven (a group of studio musicians) released a cover album of the entire Fallen album. Very credible release w/ softer (not so sharp as Amy Lee's) vocals. Worth a look (probably not worth a reaction video), so take a look on your own (sticking to the songs you've heard so far).
The most beautiful song of Evanescense is Hello... It's about Amy Lee's sister, she died when she was 3 years old and Amg was 6 years old... The song is about death from a child perspective... It will help you understand why most of Amy's songs are sad and heavy... Most reactors don't check-out this song, but you really sould check-out...
