Those are nice little rifles. I love the tube fed rifles. That’s a beauty my friend. 👍👍👍👍 the one I have runs CCI mini mags flawlessly. Or something about 1200 ft./s. 👍
Got one many years ago for Christmas. Was a little disappointed when i found out i couldnt take it squirrel hunting here in Pennsylvania, still a blast to take out the range and pop off a few rounds.
Use a bit of mothers polish on the bolt and it should slick up nicely, dab of oil on the spring. I have the same rifle, I believe it's a '78. These two things had it running like a top, good shooting. Ps: play around with the action screws torque for accuracy
Mine was made in the 60s. Here is the hownyou tell when yours was made!! The first letter of the barrel date code indicates the month, see the chart below: A = Jan B = Feb C = March D = April E = May etc.. The second letter indicates the year, again they didn't use this system until 1962 F = 1962 G = 1963 H = 1964 I = 1965 J = 1966 K = 1967 So if your barrel code is HH your gun was made in August of 1964 The first letter of the barrel date code indicates the month, see the chart below: A = Jan B = Feb C = March D = April E = May etc.. When I was a kid in the 70's K-Mart bought and sold so many of these that they had them on sale constantly for $29.99 or you could add a 22 scope for total of $39.99 for the gun and a mounted scope. That was far less than the cost of a Sheridan 5mm pump pellet gun. The Glenfields were just as reliable and accurate as the Marlin but had less expensive components such as the finish, trigger guard and stock
Thanks, I didn't know much about the differences. Other then iv taken them both apart over the years for cleaning. Small difference in how the gutz are assembled. This one has a very nice stock. And the finish is very good. Thst is why I picked this one up
I got the Glenfield with the scope (lost the scope years ago) at a Coast-to-Coast hardware store in about 1977 when I was 11. My dad made the purchase but I paid for it with my muskrat trapping money. $40 sounds about right.
Model 60 first 22 I ever shot, great video Brother and I hope you have a great weekend.
Thanks Chris!! See ya on the next one
