HIGHLY MISSABLE
In Main Quest 15: The Guardian Gigantus, you must shoot the Gigantus with an Unmaking Arrow. Then it does before reaching the town and the trophy unlocks.
Step 1: Slay Dragons for Wyrmcrystals.
Step 2: Buy the Unmaking Arrow for 8 Wyrmcrystals from the Dragonborne.
Step 3: In Main Quest 15 "The Guardian Gigantus" shoot the walking Gigantus with the Unmaking Arrow. Wait 6 minutes until it dies (doesn't die immediately) and the trophy will pop. You must play as Archer and use a Bow to shoot the arrow.
It's highly recommended you make a PS+ Cloud Save Backup & an Inn Save before finishing Main Quest 14: A New Godsway. Otherwise you'd need to do another full playthrough to retry it. The arrow is 1-use only and the game autosaves when shooting it.

@@REDACTED0451 The Inn Rest save and the Autosave are different saves, I think.
This can still fail. I did it on the Sphinx and it deleted my arrow even from the Inn save.

My only comment for this would be to kill it while he's on land. Every one of the spikes/spears in his body gives a wakestone shard when harvested after they fall out.
Wish I read this beforehand!

@@turbobuddah this. Wakestones are not in short supply in this game.
Only other way to do this might be with magick archer using sagittate avalanche, gonna probably try at ng++ before doing the unmaking arrow way (using inn save to revert if it fails)
I already thought this was the way to do it after killing a certain other boss with this arrow for an achievement before.
if you are in ng+ before triggering the quest you can go to the place where you shoot the gigantus and place portcrystal there to not miss it use the godsway to open the sealed gate
This trophy is for stopping him before the first town is run into. You dont need the arrow. Just play a ranged vocation.
Fought Talos the normal way in my first playthrough and didn't get the achievement. Tried rushing to to the Spellseal Door (since you keep the Empowered Godsbane) in NG+ and Talos didn't spawn so you have to do the the whole main questline again to get the achievement.

No point using the Unmaking Arrow. Was using Warfarer and had a Magick Bow on me... Just pop all the purple glowing spots on him before he reaches Volcanic Island Camp. The wording of the trophy makes it seem like you need to be quick as hell but nope... You have plenty of time.
You dont really need to use the arrow as long as you kill all the weak spots before he gets to that point where he drops dead.
I was a magic archer when i did it and it was super quick

A preserved Medusa head will also do for the achievment.

That's what I'm saving my preserved head for, but do you get to harvest the wakestones as well still?

I shot at the purple area on his back ( he threw his spear only place to shoot at the time ) and the achievement popped a few mins ( 6 mins approx ) later. Think you can hit any purple area on him but hit main body part to be sure
you just need to hit him. No matter where. The special arrow does it's work. :)
Does it still count if you shoot him on the beach if i want to collect the wakestones he drops?
Nope, just did
Just use the arrow of unmaking and get the achievement and then reload from inn save and use it once he gets on the beach and get the rewards that drop off him there
If you "kill it" here like this, in the end game you can fight the "2 beacons" with 2 arms right!?
Theoretically we could go back to the the menu and reload from our last inn save and you also get a second arrow from the sphynx. 2 more if youre on New Game plus. so not all is lost gamers

Nah you can just run after it and watch it.
You can rest at any inn before doing the mission if its failed for any reason quit the game and load from last inn rest and do it agian
Beating him early only seems to benefit by giving you 2 trophies and an interesting cutscene in the unmoored world with Talos. But not beating him, or by destroying completely with Medusa's Head (which will only get you 1 trophy instead of 2) seems to allow 2 more end game bosses for far more Wyrmslife crystals. So maybe the latter is the more beneficial approach?
Guys if u are using either Custom dificulty or Even more HP turn this mods off before fighting talos or he will ignore the unmaking arrow and martyrs bolt. U can wait until he reach land so u can grab the crystals too

I got the trophy even when he did not drop the spear and destroyed the bridge. I thiought i'm screwed. 😬
I had the second arrow, and it disappeared from my inventory.
Slept at inn did fight quick for achievement 5han reloaded to fight normally
This seems like best way to do it. Get the achievement and then save the unmaking arrow for later/NG+

It would have suckes if those harpies intecepted the arrow. Unmaking Arrow is actually weaker than Maker's Finger from DD1. (The latter spreads out and infects other monsters. You can annihilate an entire arena of monsters and bosses with just 1 arrow. Its also grotesque as you witness the tentrils reaching out and infecting the area.)
i used the unmaking arrow on him, and all his spikes fell off, but he didnt drop the spear, and still threw it at teh bridge, destroying it, not sure why
You still get the achievement. Let it play out and then once you got the achievement let him get to the beach and shoot him with the arrow and you can pick up all the wakestones

You dont have to waist an unmaking arrow you can just play archer and use explosive arrows instead just shoot the purple Crystal's on its body 1-2 explosove arrows per crystal
Or just play a melee vocation and climb up its body to the crystals

I guess you can it should be ok unless the auto save from the arrow does also count as inn save which probably not havn't test it yet
I probably kill him with the arrow for the achievement then load from last inn save so I can fight him probably with my main vocation

no you can get 2 each run. thats it
Dunno if it's a bug when u say u can only get 2, but as soon as I use one about 3 days later the forger offers it for a medium amount of coin.
What do I have to do with the trophies I, Talos
It's a post game trophy - visit the camp again for a mission in the unmoored area
Does using the arrow effect the I talos achievement?

I know I'm late but just wanted to check if the unmaking arrow is an option, but yes, two Maelstroms killed him outright in my 2nd playthrough, 1st was MA's Sagittate Avalanche, now playing Archer on my 3rd (no ng+, always starting from anew). Thief is pretty strong on him too, if you can handle your stamina, wouldn't try Mage, Fighter, Warrior or Trickster tho. Dunno about Spearhand as I don't like and therefore don't play it.

What class did you use to kill a dullahan and did you kill it at Ill doer's rest? I've only seen one spawn at one other place towards the nameless village by a bridge.
How do you get “I thought I’d lost you” trophy? I’m reading and doing what’s it’s telling me but the trophy won’t pop uo

@@azrael9387 go to morge and talk to npc, ask him or her to find body which will cost you 5k coins. He will light the candle on the found body ( does not metter who will it be) and just revive him with wakestone.

Is the game pretty worth while? Rebirth has a tight hold on me atm...
I've stopped playing rebirth to play this. I find the open world far more enjoyable to explore
It depends. The story is awful and the end game area has an artifical difficulty in the form of a time limit. The combat is great but otherwise it plays like a janky mod for a game.

steal them from phantoms and specters as thief, just make sure you do not have any magic damage so you don't kill them outright (can steal one with ability and one with passive with regular hits, so up to two per ghost - but it's still a loot table, so it's not guaranteed to steal even one).
You do know you get the trophy by killing him that the regular way a waste of a One-Shot arrow on something that you can kill so easily
There's nothing else in the game that you would need the arrow for regardless. Most people just use it on the Sphinx because most guides tell them too, but the secret to fighting her is simply to not hit her in the head or breasts. The clue is in the murals that depict her in battle showing her only being hit in the rear and wings. So you just tell your pawns to wait a good distance away so they don't join the fight, and then hop on her booty and go to town on it.
In other words: everything in the game is a waste of the arrow lol. It has no reason to exist other than just for the memes.
@@smward87 tbf, even in the first game it wasnt really important. you can kill grigori which goes quick aside from his phas shifts or on shot him. but ur dragon the arrow only takes out one of its 30 or so hearts.

It’s a single player game. You can use the arrow on any boss you want. It doesn’t matter.

The souls series saves everything you do and you can't revert your choices, if anything dragon's dogma kinda built on that, I just want to have more than one character at a time tho, that and no performance mode are my only irks

Don't shoot the arrow while he's in the water, that's just bad advice. Let him take 2 steps into the beach then fire. You get the achievement, and the wakestones from the spikes and you can get the other achievement in umoored world. Don't use the Medusa head either, that's bad advice like listening to people to use the ring to get the Medusa head. People need to stop spreading nonsense
