I agree 100 % but they feel the need to include all that stuff as a luxury hotel room. The desk has great views but does take up a lot of that valuable window area. With sloping windows and a triangular shape to work within, there isn't a lot of floor space.
I meant they can angle the desk so writer can see the view and keep the window are free so viewer can walk up and down the window area without tripping.

It depends on what you want to do. This is so close to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge and there's a tube stop right under the hotel so it's easy to go other places. I like Dorchester and 45 PLas they are close to a tube stop, parks and you can walk to Oxford Street.
Hi Fred! I really enjoy watching your videos! I'm booking a short solo trip to London and I am considering this hotel basically for its incredible views, however I would like to know what the service is like in the hotel? Did you have a good experience? I'm concerned about this especially considering I will be travelling alone
Thanks for watching. The service is excellent, but very Asian and typical of Shangri-La hotels. It's a quiet, dignified kind of service. The views and the location are quite amazing and I would recommend a stay there.
Soooooo true!!!!!!! I just got back from another stay there, videos coming next week. This was room 3903, this time I stayed in 4903, one floor higher! Thanks for watching and please subscribe.
Because of the views and that it faces Tower Bridge and the Tower of London, this room is more expensive than some of their other rooms. I would check with the Shangri-La website for the current price, but it's probably around $700 per night. Thanks for watching.
hi Fred.i love this video :) the room looks amazing.Im debating between the iconic king room with city view and the premier king room with city view?because i would love the view of tower bridge from the room.I saw some pictures on the website and the room has different view of the city.which one was the one you stayed in?thanks and have a great day
Thanks for watching. I would check with the hotel to ensure you get the view you want. I thought this was called "Iconic City View Room" but there are probably multiple rooms with that name. Check the video description for the room number and ask for that exact room if you want that view.
Thanks so much for your response.ive booked the premier room with city room,it's similar to the one you stayed but the window wouldn't be as wide,so many the view would a bit more restricted.hopefully it's still going to be amazing :) once again thanks and have a great day
The skyscrapers he showed on the other side I live in the highest one at the rim and it is great and luxurious but the only reason this hotel is luxury is the building and the location

The Shangri-La Hotel is a good hotel but there are at least another 7 or 8 hotels in London which are far better. This hotel relies heavily on it's amazing views of the city
Everyone has an opinion and thank you for watching. I've stayed at all of London's best luxury hotels and agree the Shangri-La has the best views, but they are certainly up there with those other hotels. The service is more subtle and Asian, but that's what the brand is known for. Amazing!
Thanks for watching!
Wow I’m shocked you’re amazing 😉
Thank you, check out all my amazing suite tours!
Great video fred..
The Shangri-La London at the Shard is an amazing hotel..but i think if you're looking for location, the Dorchester,45 park lane, the Four Seasons, and the Langham hotel have a much better location..what do you think fred...
Thank you for sharing
Cheers from Yemen
It depends on what you want to do. This is so close to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge and there's a tube stop right under the hotel so it's easy to go other places. I like Dorchester and 45 PLas they are close to a tube stop, parks and you can walk to Oxford Street.
@@FreddySherman oxford st..bond st..regent st..hyde park..you know these kinds of places i like..
Cheers
I forgot, you're Luxury Wesam.
@@FreddySherman LOOOOOL..
Thank you fred..
You might just have the best job in (and all over) the world!
Thank you for stopping by to check out my videos!
Luxury Fred plz tell me the intro song
how much would a night or even a week to stay there cost?
i believe one night is like 350 pounds
London is very expensive so it better be nice 😂
Soooooo true!!!!!!! I just got back from another stay there, videos coming next week. This was room 3903, this time I stayed in 4903, one floor higher!
Thanks for watching and please subscribe.
How much does this cost?
Because of the views and that it faces Tower Bridge and the Tower of London, this room is more expensive than some of their other rooms. I would check with the Shangri-La website for the current price, but it's probably around $700 per night. Thanks for watching.
Hi Fred, what was the name of the suite you stayed in?
Hi, I stayed what they call a view room, 3903. I also did a video tour of the Shangri-La Suite, which is also on my channel.
hi Fred.i love this video :) the room looks amazing.Im debating between the iconic king room with city view and the premier king room with city view?because i would love the view of tower bridge from the room.I saw some pictures on the website and the room has different view of the city.which one was the one you stayed in?thanks and have a great day
Thanks for watching. I would check with the hotel to ensure you get the view you want. I thought this was called "Iconic City View Room" but there are probably multiple rooms with that name. Check the video description for the room number and ask for that exact room if you want that view.
Thanks so much for your response.ive booked the premier room with city room,it's similar to the one you stayed but the window wouldn't be as wide,so many the view would a bit more restricted.hopefully it's still going to be amazing :) once again thanks and have a great day
Have a great stay, it's a great hotel. Be sure to swim in the Sky Pool!
Haven't heard that music in the intro since 2007 lol
It's from the RUclips music library. Thank you for watching!
I would love to work here
You should apply, they are always seeking great team members.
Thankyou for your message
Wait what was this place called again?
Motel 6
Watching your Amazing video again fred...i think this my 7th time..i really enjoy your videos..
Thank you again. I hope to return to London in the next few months.
Lmao, imagine investing so much money into a building just just for it to end up being called the ‘cheese grater’.
What about the Gherkin? Spending all that money to be named after a pickle!
You have the walkie talkie and the gherkin ( daytime called the bullet) too 😂
The skyscrapers he showed on the other side I live in the highest one at the rim and it is great and luxurious but the only reason this hotel is luxury is the building and the location
But have you ever stayed there? I doubt it. Thank you for watching the video.
I’m there right now
Jalal Hussain same room?
Luxury Fred Same hotel
Luxury Fred Yours was a bit bigger though
Jalal Hussain but how's your view?
Luxury Fred What do you mean? The view is great and I can see St. Paul’s Cathedral and Parliament.
amazing
+docstrange27 It was and sometimes almost didn't look real, it looked like a postcard!
Fred can u pls make a Bally's las Vegas suite review?
this hotel is headquartered in Hong Kong
Yes sir. You can see my visits to both Hong Kong locations also here on my channel. Thanks for watching!
can u plz tell me the 1st intro music of this video???
It is free music, used from the RUclips library. The song is called "Hey Now" and the artist is MK2. (thanks for watching!)
Thanks fred!!
No it’s the shard by D-Block Europe

hi dear i loved your video coz your englsih is clear and understandable , i am an english teacher and i think it's good ideia you record more videos describing places , and telling the details! loved it
Thanks for watching and for your nice compliments!
I'f you're an English teacher, maybe you could improve your grammar?
Vivianny França I really do hope that you aren’t an English teacher, because your English is terrible!
Zachary Wilson you maybe want to improve yours as well. It’s “If” not “I’f”
I've also stayed at 16 different Shangri-La hotels around the world and find that same level of service at every property.
wow
