I have made this just like this and it's delicious. I also make it one other way... instead of the tomato soup I replace it with bechamel sauce. I also put one half of the sauce in the middle and the other half over the top...try it for a nice change... delicious 😋
I’m making this two ways. As I cannot have nightshades I’ve split the casserole into two smaller ones. One with potatoes and tomato soup, the other with spinach and brown gravy. I had a can of sliced potatoes in the pantry and a bag of coleslaw in the fridge, so this worked out perfectly for a fast meal. Thank you for the recipe.
Hi and thank you so much for stopping by and for sharing how you are going to make your casserole. This is a lovely meal and so tasty!!! Having the bagged coleslaw will work great and you don't have to shred it yourself. Have a wonderful day and we post a new video recipe every Sunday. :) Bonita
I can't use corned beef in anything I make for my wife because she has to avoid salt. But I am going to make this for the next group dinner here in the co-op we live in. It looks so good. I won't tell anyone what is in it. Some folks in the building think canned corned beef is just too low class or uncool. I'm in Vancouver, so, whaddaya expect, eh??
Summer is lovely but it’s also nice to get into cooler weather and casseroles, stews and hotpots that can simmer all day and satisfy you in the evening. I am also a can rinser, in fact I hate to waste anything so this recipe is great for using up leftovers. Thanks Bonita.

@@bonitaskitchen I’ve made several of your recipes and we love them! Thank you so much! 💖
@@cherriberri7161 Nice! Thank you for letting me know :) Enjoy Bonita
:) Bonita
@@bonitaskitchen I did make both and they came out great. Thanks again!
@@violetgypsie Nice!! Thank you for following up with us letting us know!!!
Yes for sure and enjoy to the fullest, thank you Elaine for stopping by. This is indeed comfort food at its best, and thank you. :) Bonita
Waste not, want not. After everyone was full, I would be laying some bread in the juice to soak it up. Yum.
Right! That is what we love doing, thank you Mary for leaving a message and enjoy to the fullest. :) Bonita
I love it when I have all the ingredients already! My Mom made corned beef hash (just can of hash and leftover mashed potatoes) and the whole family loved it. I'll try this version too. Yes, great for the slow cooker in this Florida heat!
Nice! Thank you for stopping by and I'm so glad you enjoyed our NEW recipe today. The slow cooker is prefect for cooking in warm weather and for having a home cooked meal after work. Enjoy Bonita
WOW it looks so delicious I am going to try that soon thank you love your videos my mouth Waters look so good yummy is Good as it gets love that saying 😋
Haha right! I'm so glad you enjoyed our recipe and of course my silly sayings. This is indeed a wonderful easy to make meal, in the casserole dish, roaster, slow cooker or grill out side in a cast iron pan. Thank you and enjoy. :) Bonita

HI Bonita looks like a wonderful meal,a great example of comfort food! Greetings from BC i assume you are East coast folks? Cheers!
Thank you for your message and I'm so glad you enjoyed our NEW recipe this week. Yes I'm from the East Coast, NL. :) Bonita
Nice recipe ,will try it soon. The juice is a bit too runny for my liking so I will probably add a bit of flour to the stock and tomato soup mixture . Tries your corned beef cakes and they were lovely. Thanks.
Thank you I'm glad you enjoyed our recipe, after the meal sits for a little the juice soaks up in the meal and its lovely. I'm thinking flour would make it pasty a little juice is nice for dipping your bread. Enjoy and thank you for stopping by. :) Bonita
I never buy canned corned beef because it's too expensive but this might change my mind. It looks great.
It is expensive for a canned food, but mixed with a full meal and a serving for 6 people its about $1 and meal including the other ingredients and cooking time. Enjoy and thank you for stopping by. :) Bonita
hey bonita how awesome to see raymond yet again;];];] my dad was the very same way only hed make sandwiches out of it with mayo and fresh sliced onions... for me it was just way too salty.... i perfer fresh corned beef..and cut off the rind of spices... whimpy .. yes lolol....it is good tho great video as always;];];]
Thank you Patty for your lovely message, I'm so glad you enjoyed our NEW video this week. Raymond don't always pop in but I agree its nice when he do for sure. Yes I agree canned corned beef is a little salty but when made in a big meal its not so bad. Stay safe :) Bonita

Hi Bonita......me again. Always absolutely awesome tutorial how to make/cook a delicious *something* new for me. Especially for this recipe. Can I replace the corned beef with other?. Might be with sausage/chicken? Of course I cook the chickrn first w/some of seasoning. Again thank v.much for all of yur tutorials which is inspired me to cook with another ways n taste of course. Coz I also never put in a MSG at all on my foods since I like in cooking. More than 50yrs. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thank you Koesri, for stopping by and for enjoying our corned beef casserole meal. You can put in the meat you like and part cook it and add to it. Enjoy to the fullest :) Bonita
I would use both russet and redskins potatoes. Russet to thicken the juice. And the goodness of the redskins.
Yes that would work lovely and thank you for stopping by and sharing that with us... Have a lovely day. Enjoy Bonita
Cheers All!!!

Well that has sorted tomorrows dinner. Need to go out tomorrow in any case so Carrots to get and a cabbage.
Not sure you could get all of that into a Slow Cooker, I am not going to try. Makes a Can of Corned beef go a long way.
That is so wonderful James, this will slow cook good but you would need a large slow cooker. But in a roaster or casserole dish with a lid works lovely too. Thank you for stopping by and please follow up after you make this for you dinner tomorrow. :) Enjoy Bonita
Mine is big enough, and the right shape.
Looks truly satisfying. Yum!
@@kathleennorton6108 Good I'm glad because slow cooking it for after work would be amazing and ready for you when you come home. Enjoy Bonita
Well it is done. I Slow Cooked it in the end, I like the Slow Cooker. Only about four hors on high in my case. Frankly I forgot about it but also in my case low did not get it goin to my satisfaction so it went onto high. Under salted it somewhat but I have finished up with a 6 Litre Slow Cooker full of lovelyness. Nuf here for probably five-six meals. Will add more Corned Beef Next time.
@@jamesgoacher1606 That is so wonderful James, I'm glad the slow cooker worked for you and now you have a NEW recipe to use. It's funny you said it wasn't salty enough, usually can corned beef is salty, but because its cooked with lots of veggies it equals the salt intake, but two cans would work too. Thank you for stopping by and have a lovely week. :) Bonita
For some reason there is never any left over corned beef it disappeared in the lunch sandwiches...
LOL
Oh my this is true, what I do even with my turkey I take a big piece off and hide in the fridge so no one will eat it for my leftover meals. I hope this will help for next time when you make your corned beef roast. :) Enjoy our recipe and thank you for stopping by.,...
@@bonitaskitchen I will just have to stock up a few extra cans of corned beef.
My mother made a dish similar to this with ground beef.
@@bonitaskitchen That does not work for me because I live alone and know all my hiding places that sometimes become science projects... LOL
@@billinboots haha that is so funny, fear enough. :) Bonita
