Use stairs flush with the foundation height and you can raise and lower them by exactly one wall height place a wall then two stairs going up it and a foundation under the stairs to raise the foundation level and connect with stairs
It’s not good to build with stairs … if we say a foundation is 1mx1m a star is 1.1 so if you use like 4-5 stairs you got a different snap … I mean like everything is snapped together but hatchframes for example are not fitting anymore … hope you know what I mean
Stairs not only lower a foundation more than a wall height it will also push it forwards slightly using a fence foundation you are able to connect any level of foundation be it 1/4 ,2/3 or even 2 walls think the max was 2 1/3 but this explained in detail in Sefrio's video
@@Jamie00rm I’m more interested in building cages around towers. First time I noticed the foundations didn’t match up and I was so confused lol. Might start using fence foundations. May take a little longer but at least the hatchframes will match up nicely
using stairs is 10x quicker and easier though just gotta start from the highest point of where you wanna build 1.) place foundation 2.) snap stairs to the side 3.)snap foundation to botton of stair 4.)repeat
ye that’s really fast. but the snapping distance isn’t exact 1 foundation and the height isn’t exact 1 wall height. using pillars is very close to 1 wall height
Man when I try to connect the foundations with the fence foundations it doesn’t wanna let me build on top of it with the ceilings like u did and I did it step by step help
You can actually lower the ceiling so it basically matches the foundation. Place one ceiling, it's going to have that edge, then snap a double door frame to that ceiling. You should be able to snap another ceiling to the first ceiling with two snap points now. One is a lower snap point and it will be flush with the foundation. You can then destroy the first ceiling and door frame and use the lower flush ceiling to snap the other ceilings to it. Hope I explained that well enough.
i always stay away from pillars because in a cage tower the cage is just floating if u build it with the method like khz he does that and all his towers can be droped by breaking the center doors
Foundations wont provide support unless they are less than 1-2 (I forgot) level drops. If you want a foundation that will eventually touch ground level, you need a unbroken connection of foundations that do not drop more than 2 levels per foundation. If you have a foundation in the middle that is dropped by 3, it will sever the support.
Definitely one of the best flooring tutorials I've seen
Pretty good video. Subbed. Keep up good building videos please!!! It’s so rare to see good pvp building tips

So are fence foundations better to snap with than stairs?
@@antamb5093 depends on what you are building tbh, i prefer fences tho

not the hero we deserved
but the hero we needed
bro, ty so much, i waited this video for along time, i dont find anybody who explain this
Not sure why one wouldn’t just float ceilings over pillars … more practical and looks far better
Yo how long has that fence foundation trick been around? That seems like a bug. Hopefully not because thats super useful

How are you lowering the pillar and snapping it? Mine doesn't do that.
So on lost island pirate cave how will I get foundation support from the top to the bottom
Man when I try to connect the foundations with the fence foundations it doesn’t wanna let me build on top of it with the ceilings like u did and I did it step by step help
you just have to place fence foundations first. ceilings are later
Not just for this video but in general are walls interchangeable with double door frames? same height, snaps, and support?
yeah they are same height. but double doorframes are slightly lower than walls when they placed under ceilings
is there any way to build foundations at the same level, i dont want the little edge between the foundations and ceilings
Keep lowering the foundation to where u want it then start placing the foundations ceiling Ik how to do but harder to explain

thats not true its a visual glitch with the double doors but if you actually look in structure debug they are all snapped together
