I don’t necessarily think that it was the demon seed video, if anything, I highly enjoyed that video. And I’m just one person, but I think that the bigger problem is that the game has felt stagnant for about six months now. I’ve noticed a drop off in a lot of videos. Battlegrounds is still getting solid views, at least Dog’s channel, but the other side of things is pretty meh.
I didnt mean that posting that vid made my audience mad at me, a sharp dropoff shortly after that vid just made me think people were enjoying Wild less after the mini set, and thus watching it less.

I really liked the Darkglare video, and I look forward to seeing if there's other unique stuff that happens with the card in the future. Honestly I dont usually enjoy the highlander control videos that much since the play pattern tends to be a lot of isolated control cards I've seen before, although I do totally understand the appeal of actually playing them. But I really liked this one! A lot of the cards felt more synergistic with each other, and it didnt feel like you were forced to go slow because of the 40 card highlander inconsistencies, while also showing off a decent amount of both new cards and older ones I dont see that frequently.
Regarding the language conversation, Duolingo is great for learning vocabulary, but vocabulary isn't the only part of language. Listening to shows helps pronunciation, speaking to native speakers helps with speaking and with using vocabulary, reading books helps with reading text. So I agree with chat's advice, but I'd say that's the reason why chat's advice is good advice. Language has lots of parts, and you need ways to practice all of them. The more variety you have, the better.
Hey Marshie, the best way to learn a language is via a class. I'd check out if there's any near you, they're usually once or twice a week. Theres no substitute for having a proficient speaker guide you.
Good luck on the language learning grind, its tough but rewarding. Another commentor already stated but yes, I recommend classes, community colleges and universities often offer non-degree language courses. The best way to stick to it is to have a structure and to be friends with either like-minded language learners or native speakers in that language that you share a common interest in (like hearthstone!).
I was able to play some Odyn warrior with Hammy. It's nice to have cards like Sleep under the Stars because it can potentially give you 15 armor. Glad to see you enjoy some more decks this season!
As a fellow control warrior main (my first golden class with only playing control) I definitely switched to druid for a long time when they gutted warrior
I couldn't agree more on what you said about nerfing the wild,It's something not easy at all and we can't just say let's delete this and that. i'm one of those player who quitted the game during alterac/stormwind and i think that the questlines led me to that decision. I've returned few weeks ago and I must say that I'd rather play against aggro pirates/renathal/reno/tog etc rather than demon seeds/raza hunter/quest war. Personally I hate the design of that cards and the fact that they will remain like that means that they could always come back in top tier meta
I genuinly quit wild when demon seed came back with mass production since im a d5 enjoyer and that deck is SO popular there and its auto win against any off-meta non-aggro deck I still enjoy my daily dose of wild with martian videos when drinking my morning coffee though Also regarding shadow step, i think last time that shadow step was actually the problem in standard was astalor rogue since back then (from festival up untill badlands mini set) there was no other way to get multiple astalors in standard any other way since there was no brann and it was super frustrating facing astalor after astalor
I wouldnt even say that there, Astalor had a big history of being a ridiculous finisher in lots of things, even when it wasnt copied. Its just a strong card. Thanks for watching!
My based anime VA take is that almost everyone sucks, regardless of language, but you just don't notice how bad people are when they're speaking a foreign language.
Hey I've been playing a deck with the 1 cost priest spell and concerierge or however you spell it in demon hunter. It also runs grappling hook and the 4 cost minion that draws up to 5 cards
I absolutely believe that they dont balance wild as much as they do because it would give the general playerbase a considerable amount of dust. I ACTUALLY genuinely believe that blizzard is that greedy. Because we have been hurt many times, lets not forget that ye.
Regarding sub vs dub vs just learn the dang language. I have a similar feeling regarding movies/TV series in german. We have one big Stuido that does the dubbing for basically anything over 100k $ budget. And it's a good studio. They have a lot of voice actors that work full time dubbing high budget productions. But it's by far not enough. And once you start making out voices you just can't unhear them in every other movie and it's honestly distracting. Luckily english as a second language is taught very early and it's close enough to not be too to hard to learn.
Best deck ever if you are a complete noob to this game :D it doesn't require you to active your braincells... perfect deck to play if you need easy wins :D Love it ! thx for the video
Manna is a bread from heaven and rhymes with banana, mana is spelled like banana but is not manna so we gotta pronounce it differently. Personally, I prefer to just call ‘em spoons. “I don’t have enough spoons for that!” Me neither, Rexxar. Me neither.

I concur re:subs. English dubs always seem to have some bad voice work that makes me cringe. Maybe it’s a universal problem and I’m just unable to tonally process spoken Japanese well enough to pick out the poor acting? DBZ is an exception for me too. I think it’s partly because I grew up with it and partly because the English VAs did a great job. I also really don’t like the vocal tone of Goku’s Japanese VA, just as a matter of personal taste.
School Rumble is an example where the dub is better because the original Japanese is kinda just played straight but the American actors understood the assignment of “this is a comedy show” and really make it their own.
I have a hunch that certain patterns of Japanese speech just don't jive well when translated into English. I think the pacing and emphasis of each language is quite different, which means any English speaking actor would sound weird trying to dub any Japanese show.
Duolingo fired all their human translators and replaced them with AI, and I've seen AI try to translate Japanese. As for not liking dubs because "the voice actors are bad", it just comes off as ignorant when you're playing hearthstone in English with no complaints. Patrick Seitz, Tara Platt, Laura Bailey, Yuri Lowenthal and more are in both Hearthstone and anime dubs and somehow it's dubs that are the problem. I don't mind saying you prefer subs and I agree that I wish the talent pool was bigger, but don't be disrespectful to the human beings that make them.
