I remember the first time this song aired on the radio, the radio dj said " such a nice song". He's correct and it's just a phenomenal tune, still listening in 2024.

I love that he didn't simp out and remove the higher notes from the acoustic version. So many bands do that. The goo goo dolls did an acoustic version of 'Iris' where the chorus should be an A4 they did it a full octave down (Which is basically the verse) ..Or Foo Fighters' Everlong same deal.
Then again, you might wind up with a 'Puddle Of Mudd' 'About a Girl' fiasco..
Probably because they can’t hit the notes anymore. Pretty sure if Filter were to do this now, you’d see the same thing.

Damn his voice sounds so good. Pretty damn close to the studio version. This is one of the songs growing up in the 90s that stuck with me, some of these are so close to my heart simply because it reminds me of my childhood.
Couldn't have said it better myself. Who would thought the songs like this we'd listen to on MTV while getting ready to ride the bus to school would turn out to be more than just a song.
