Nicely done... I changed my shackles out a year ago after I had to replace an axle. The old ones were ~3+ years old but the nylon bushings were shot. I didn't do the equalizer, but now wish I had... Another future project..
Thank for the info once we were full time rv travel we were planing to get a fifth wheel since I have a dually but we are na with the amount of time we go camping it dont justified the purchase of one instead we want to go all out on beefing up our tt and one of the thing I really want to upgrade is the suspensión is one of the key element of the tt thank you so much for the info
Retiring soon and will be on the road exploring. Just ran across your videos and enjoyed them as I'm getting ready to RV. Keep up the videos. Love the outtakes 👍
Thanks my friends. Looking good. Lol. Im glad your staying yourselves and not being celebs. Lol. YOUR LIGHT SHINES BRIGHT. I need this info for my future. Thanks again.
The leaf springs are flat in the first video / scenario!! Great video to show how the manufacturer installs minimum weighted axles, ie: 7k axles when they should be 8k
As always great video with plenty of information. I am hoping to upgrade to the Independent Suspension this year since we will be heading toward the east coast. Also seems like a very smart upgrade to maximize the life of your rig. Would absolutely do the Disc Brakes as well, for more stopping power. Your bloopers at the end are a hoot. We experience the same issues. Thanks for sharing, Gordon & Alice.
Thank you so much for this video it’s great to know. MoRyde they do a few other items. I know the stairs to get into the Rv. But I forgot what else. I hope the suspension is working. Thank you for the information on the MoRyde. Hope I spelled it right. I hope you have a great week and have a Haply Easter. Liking forward to next video. Have a great week. See you soon! Stay safe.
You are so welcome! MORryde has lots of great add-ons and upgrades...we love our stairs and slide trays for the storage areas as well. The independent suspension is most awesome! Happy Easter to you as well! Stay tuned!
@@GetawayCouple Ya I thought they did have more. Oh ya that’s where I saw the steps it was in your video I watched. That’s where I got it from. I couldn’t remember where I saw it. Sorry about that. Their suspension looks good and I love their steps which is what you have. Thank you so much. I will have a great Easter. Hope it will be nice outside. Hope your weather will be great to for Easter. Have a great week. See you soon!
The person i got my RV from was an engineer and made all kinds of upgrades. His wife had no idea of all the things he did because to her the outside was his and the inside was hers. I am taking it tomorrow to the dealer they bought it from that did most of the upgrades so they can do an inspection and tell me what has been done. I really like your recommended option and will look into that before we make our Alaska run.
Love the info. Going. To look into the upgrade as well. My 30’ BP TT is a Conquest. I’m planning on taking my profession on the road. So my question is this. Where to I get them installed? Would take forever to install them myself and a load of homework. If you don’t know then I will keep you posted as to how I got the upgrade on my RV. Thanks again and Happy Trails Michelle Tallahassee Florida.
I upgraded to the Independent Suspension with disc brakes two years ago and it was the best upgrade I ever made. I love it and would never be without it if I get another RV at some point.
Great info for new, budding (fulltime) RVers. Sadly (as is the case with SO many manufacturers/sellers now) MorRyde gave no indication (that I could find) on costing for the independant suspension/Disc brake upgrade. Can you share your cost for doing it? Our 5W will be a tandem axle.
The picture shows a broken leaf spring on the opposite end of the shackle where it mounts solid. There does not appear to be anything wrong with the shackles. It’s just a leaf spring failure! I understand that the MORryde setup has a better ride but the picture does not go along with the problem of shackles wearing out.
So how do the Dexter Torflex axles that are on Winnebago Micro Minnies, Rockwood Mini Lites axles compare to the independent upgrade? Other than the disc brakes upgrade obviously.
We are not familiar with that. If you contact an expert at MORryde, they would be able to explain it, as they are more familiar with all the axles and systems.
I am excited to see how the liquid springs work on class a motorhomes. They way they make it sounds it will transfer a class a gas ride to the ride of a class a diesel
There's another option, buy an rv with Dexter Torflex axles. Our Rockwood rides pretty smooth with them. I don't know what other brands offer them but I know Rockwoods are also sold as Flagstaffs and both have them. They are similar to independent suspension and have no leaf springs, shackles, or equalizers to worry about.
Lots of good information. I've considered a suspension for our 5th wheel. I don't think anyone around us does the install. Is it possible to install yourself for a DIY person?
There is another suspension option, but not MorRyde. This option is better than everything displayed in your video but independent suspension. This is Slipper Springs with Shocks and disc brakes. This system 100% isolates each axle and provides more travel than all systems but IS. It has a lifetime warranty. It is also very expensive and takes a considerable amount of time to install.
I don’t fault you for taking sponsorships, especially those representing solid companies like Moryde, but it was painful watching you read an ad to me. Your videos are usually engaging. This one was not.
You'll have to confirm with MORryde directly for the most current prices, but when we had it done, the double axle Independent Suspension and Kodiak Disc Brakes install was $6,900.
THATS WHATS ON OUR NOBO. WE LOVE IT.
That was very helpful information. Thanks!
You're welcome!
neat upload Getaway Couple. I killed that thumbs up on your video. Continue to keep up the exceptional work.
Well thanks for that 😍 We sure appreciate it!

Thanks so much! Good luck on the future projects!
Wow! I would have never thought about our suspension before. This was a great video! Thank you for all of this information!
Glad it was helpful!
Good information will explain.
Thanks Howard! 😊
Great information guys!!

Technical, but relevant. Interesting for sure.
Thanks Peter!

Glad to hear it! Thanks for watching!
Y’all have good content keep up the good work.

Definitely a fantastic upgrade option!

Wow - that sounds like an awesome find! Good luck on your research and hope you learn lots! 😊
Anyone know what the current cost is for out the door cost on the I.S. with a dual axel

Thanks for joining us! On the website they have dealer listings. Check it out!

We totally agree Debby! 😊

Gotta look and see what I have it says MORryde 1 1/2" Steel Truss Package but don't know what all that consit of.
It's all good stuff!
Liquid Spring is also excellent for Class A’s, Super C’s and C’s.
Thanks for sharing!

We are not familiar with that. If you contact an expert at MORryde, they would be able to explain it, as they are more familiar with all the axles and systems.
They are essentially independent.
I am excited to see how the liquid springs work on class a motorhomes. They way they make it sounds it will transfer a class a gas ride to the ride of a class a diesel

We had our installed. If you have some skills, I would contact MORryde and ask about it!
grease the wet bolts more frequently than you think necessary
Yur in my prayers.
Thank you 😊
Stay happy please.
Thanks for the lift. Lol
You bet 😊

Thanks for the info! There are some great companies out there that do things for RVers.
Oh yea ... ROCK THAT BEARD BROTHER. LOL
Thanks 😂
RVs have gotten light-not heavier
👍
Thanks Lori 😊
As. They say at the steak house...WELL DOWN!
I don’t fault you for taking sponsorships, especially those representing solid companies like Moryde, but it was painful watching you read an ad to me. Your videos are usually engaging. This one was not.
Thanks for the comments Sandra. It was alot of information to put out and we are sorry if it came across less engaging. We appreciate you watching!
Not sure who took that video, but those leaf springs are toast. They should never be flat like that. They should be replaced.
also saw space between two leafs......you're right Spencer, breakdown just waiting to happen.
That was the before footage of our springs and we saw the same thing! That’s why we upgraded to the Independent Suspension.
I can tell Jason is about to lose it at around 1m20s in.
😂 Probably a blooper moment in the making 😂
Obviously these manufacturers put the minimal suspension on...Independent suspension should be a standard...Prices?
You'll have to confirm with MORryde directly for the most current prices, but when we had it done, the double axle Independent Suspension and Kodiak Disc Brakes install was $6,900.
What is the phone number?
