Paharganj in Old Delhi is worst place in the country where most foreigners go when they land first in India. it is heaven for scammers and outrageously dirty, close to it there is huge red light area full of drug addicts. foreign people go there have bad experiences and then that's their impression of the country. it's a pattern that worst places in India are most visited by foreign tourists and best places are least visited by them. India's tourism ministry is not doing enough to make foreign tourists know about best places in India. by the time local Indians recommend good and beautiful places foreigners are already gone.
Population of Muslims got increased in India even after their separatist two nation theory. Before asking about safety of Muslims, think about the plight of non Muslim in ur own country that dropped from 23to2 percentage. 😂.
RIGHT NOW it's not the best time to visit metro cities like Delhi and Mumbai....there is insane amount of construction going on and hence the chaos is touching heights.... Also in last 5 yrs these cities has been overwhelmingly overcrowded.... With major projects and cities being built around metro , it will help in relieving the stress and burden...in coming years if you ever plan to come back try more natural scenery like you can visit Northeast India or hill stations in Himachal and Uttarakhand.... Even a kashmir trip will be worth it... more then traffic choked up cities
I like Delhi , but there was so much smog … coming from the UK it was a definite culture shock lol😊. WEnt to that big mosque also people kept asking me for photos lol

South Delhi is good , hauz khas, Aero city , cannot palace etc..if to want peace, then book hotel in aerocity which has many hotels , 5star also😊😊 and budget one also😊
Delhi is not safe just keep in mind! The north states of India either. Don’t travel late nights, don’t eat street food as well ! Take care and stay safe
