Wonderful video. Thank you!
Tableau vraiment tout en douceur. C’est très apaisant…Merci🌸🇫🇷
I was born by the North Sea and swam in it many times as a child. This beautiful painting sure looks like the North Sea and brings back wonderful memories. 🙏
Thank you 😊
Love it Karen, especially the focus on limited palette. Thank you for sharing your expertise.
Wow, simple but beautiful! Thank you
I love this painting. I have tried to find Blue grey and Violet grey to no avail. What alternative colours would you suggest? Thanks
I sometimes do acrylic but every time I remember why I prefer watercolours! I was attracted by your painting, thinking I should try acrylics again.
This was a fun one to paint Helene 😊
I did this and really like it. Started watercolor then to acrylic. Now i also do wc backgrounds and acrylic finished parts.
Thank you, it reminds me of my trip to the north sea shore in September, the sky is just sooo dramatic when it isn't blue. And it acutally inspires me not only to paint a seascape but to paint in acrylics too!
Thank you! So pleased you found this inspiring!
Those colors are beautiful!
This is so peaceful and looks relaxing to do … I’m definitely going in 👏😍
Thanks so much Chris! I loved painting this one!
Thank you
Fabulous... definitely going to try it... i know i need to work on my lighting...
Very helpful! Thanks for the valuable tips.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you, I followed this video and it really helped me to learn a new blending technique 😊
I'm so glad!
Looks real i love it 👍🥰🥰😊 💕
Thanks so much 😊
Absolutely stunning, love how you narrate your tutorials, so helpful. Thankyou. 😘
Brilliant very beautiful!
Thank you so much 😀
This is beautiful. X
Very good so realistic
Lovely will try it
I have loved so many of your paintings for different reasons, but this one is my ABSOLUTE favorite. Watching it come together made me inexplicably teary! And what a brilliant opportunity for spattering LOL! When you do the glazing, Karen, should you always use white? Thank you so much for this...
Thank you so much Tamsin, so pleased you like this one and you had such an emotional response! Wow!
To answer your question about glazing... you can use any colour just watered down. The best way to do this is to use something like a Flow Improver in your water as it helps to maintain the quality of the acrylic paint. Hope this was helpful :)
Awesome ❤
Thi video start in middle of recording?
question ! what do you do with all of your paintings ? 🥰
Do you have any tips on producing a much larger seascape in acrylics? As you’ve said here, one of the issues is the quick drying out of the paint.
You could buy a retarder, or get bigger brushes for larger pieces 😊
Good stuff
Thank you!
This is just lovely. Out of interest, do you know of a medium (or anything else) that can be added to acrylics to give it a lustre or a subtle gloss once it’s dry (for the sea section)?
Hi Bobby, you can add gloss medium to your acrylic paints to give it an extra shine while you paint. You can also varnish your acrylics with satin or gloss varnish to create a sheen as well. Hope this helps 😊
@@karenricepaintingchannel4664 Thanks it does. This (and the other seascapes) really are delightful!
Hi Karen. How do you make your wet palette? You don't have a lid on it. Doesn't paint dry quickly on palette?
Who’s paint are you using? Thanks
Karen, its Tamsin again, sorry to bother...I was wondering if any of your paintings are for sale...?
Hi Tamsin, thank you for your question. I am not selling any of the paintings I paint for RUclips, because I wanted to keep the originals. So sorry... but I feel very chuffed in you asking me 😀
