- Considered the fastest growing motorcycle company in the world, Royal Enfield has released a sexy, cafe style motorcycle for 2024. The Royal Enfield Continental GT sports retro-inspired instrumentation, premium finishes and exudes timeless elegance. But, is it enough in the modern world? Is it really underpowered or pure motorcycling simplicity in a complicated landscape of motorcycles?

I have been riding this bike for a few days now and while it won't replace my Triumph, I am quite blown away by how much fun this bike is!!!
Спасибо за обзор я тоже люблю и обожаю мотоциклы и очень рад за Индию за то что постоянно совершенству ют мототехнику особенно роял энфилд знаменитая английская марка спасибо вам
I knew you would enjoy it :)
❤❤❤❤❤
Not every bike has to be balls to the wall in terms of performance. I personally own a Royal Enfield Continental GT 650, and out of the bikes I have owned and ridden and yes even raced, this bike stands as a testament of elegance and grace in a modern motorcycle, that's affordable, and says something about it's rider. I am 67, and have been riding and racing motorcycles since 1968, and will never trade or give up my steed, the Royal Enfield GT 650, it's that great a bike. Think of it as art in motion my friend! 🏁🏁First on race day!
❤
You are legend
You are 100% right on!
I’ve never owned a Royal Enfield but I admire/appreciate their efforts in making a line of cycles that are financially accessible to just about anyone. I’ve heard nothing but good things about the quality to price value as well.
I bought a Royal Enfield Continental Gt a little over a year ago, the same color in the video (Mr Clean). Added bar end mirrors, a single leather seat with cowl and some scorpion slip ons. It's such a fun retro style bike.
After not riding for 40(!) years I bought an RE Interceptor last year and I absolutely love it! So far, over 4000 trouble-free miles, and yes, I changed out the exhaust and the sounds is fantastic!
I have heard really good things about them!
I did the exact same thing but turned mine into a scrambler to ride forest fire roads. I just hit 4000 also but I did have the tip sensor give me trouble.
@@nottheone1357That's awesome!
RE, BSA, Norton are all owned by Indian MC cos. :) Triumph-Bajaj is the latest venture w another motor behemoth from India. Interesting for sure but even gladder that they've kept these iconic brands alive. Might I add, for the better. Certainly seems that way and definitely rooting for the 'best is yet to come.'
I own a Triumph and a Royal Enfield, love 'em both. Enfield has come a long way the last few years !
It's not fast as a sports bike, because it's not a sports bike. It's only purpose is to take you back in time, the feel and sound of this bike is just....💛💛
It's not a sports machine, it's a time machine 😊
Poetically accurate.
I just bought a Royal Enfield Continental GT650 in Rocker Red. I think it looks beautiful.
Oooh that thing is sweet esp. in that color scheme. Ride on brother.
Cool cruiser and I love the vintage vibe. And as always thanks for the chill honest review/content.
One of the most beautiful engines out there.
Oh yes, absolutely
Nice video. I am riding since ‘87. I have a GT since 2021. It is the first bike ever that will stay. The most fun bike I ever had and I still love it as much as 3 years ago. Just put your mind back in the 60’s when you ride this: fun fun😂
Some people think only in horsepower. When they ask me how much HP, I answer 235 a ton (1000kg)😂 47 on 200kg.
Just use every horse you need😊
Perfect timing! I was just talking to a buddy about Royal Enfield. Great video as always! 🤘
I lived in Castaic for 25 years (where this was filmed) and when RE came out with the Interceptor and the GT in 2018 I immediately wanted one but riding on LA freeways isn't fun. I moved to Idaho with miles of mountain roads minutes away so I bought the Interceptor, turned it into a scrambler and ride it on forest fire roads. They are both great bikes.
I've got one, Cam, power commander, filter and Verex pipes. It fly's and getting around 55 bhp at the rear wheel 😁
Love ❤️ from India 🇮🇳
Just ordered one to go with the INT650. Absolute blast. Great video.
ive a classic 350, GB grey. I love it. it needs 10 more horses to be the perfect bike which is why ill have to size up. but the looks and compliments i get. I just love it.
Love it dude thanks!
What a sweet ride!
I have one since 2019 March. Very Good VFM. Nice bikes. Nice feel. ❤
Looks like a Sunday afternoon cruise type of bike. which is perfect for my needs.
Perfect for that.
Looks so classic and fun!!! I have a 2007 Honda CBR1000RR Repsol and I want to get something a little more like Sunday cruising and this looks awesome!! Thank you for sharing!!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Nice job, Rikki!
Thank you for doing the ride review. The Royal Enfield price point is difficult to match. It is a beautiful motorcycle and there are many options to personalize it. I would really like it if your friend, offered for you to ride a RE Classic 350, then a RE Meteor 359, and share your thoughts. I really think you would enjoy doing it.And it would be viewed by many the world over. Thank you, be safe, and rock on. Edward C. in irvine, CA.
bought interceptor bout a yr ago, great wee bike love it, had aftermarket cans when I got it, sounds awesome, fitted a wee screen and the best thing I did was fitted a 16 tooth sprocket to the front, makes a massive difference on highway.
Well done. I've had an Enfield Interceptor 650 for five years and love it
I think you summed it up pretty well.
Nice review video 👍 do try to review the Royal Enfield Classic 350 too, its got a different character and charm of its own.Cheers
Nice man I like it thanks for the video 😁
You never said the price... because I was looking at the Kawasaki Ninja 400... and I've only seen good things about it and their price at about 5k. They say the 650 is nothing like the 400. The fun, the excitement that you get from the 400. I've had 2 Yamaha 400, but started on a 250 rebel.
They are lows 7's OTD.
@@ThePoisonDrummer thanks, café bikes have been in for awhile, that and bobbers. A stupid kid wanted to race me with his slow bobber, he was trying to do a burn out in front of my house, the thing was so under powered he couldn't even get it to spin. I have a s-10 V8 that does 0-60 4 sec and he was thinking it was going to be a race. I think I told him to come back when he has something faster. LOL.
Great honest review…..I like your style. More reviews please
Hurt my back for 2 months until can adapt to riding position, previous owner move hand even below than normal but generally love it. Worth every money i pay for it.
Own one myself and you described it very well... Excellent review 👍
Dose your wonderful wife enjoy riding bikes as well and if so have you discussed with her doing a ride together and video the ride for us fan's 😊
Ain't nothing but a good time on an Enfield
Oh by the way Bro.. are you still making custom drums ?
Big fan of Poison ❤❤❤❤
Thank you!
HELL YEAH DUDE
I’ve looked into the Enfield 300 , looks very similar to the one you are reviewing.
Cool!
My first bigger bike was a 1970 BSA 650 Thunderbolt. If I could still ride I would have an Interceptor. This bike is cool styling but I would prefer not having to lean over to grab the handlebar.
I sat on one at a dealership in New Jersey. the lean is very minor. Just about perfect in fact. At 6'2" and 245lbs I feel that I am a bit too big for it though .... although some ride a RE that are quite a bit bigger than i am.
Lovely bike but I love the triumph bikes myself
Reasonably priced... So true...not cheap....
Loving the bike reviews Rikki, especially these Royal Enfield ones. Toying with trading my 2005 Triumph Speedmaster for an enfield, just can't decide which model!!!
I’m a Ducati, KTM, Husqvarna and bmw guy and I just bought a new Interceptor 650. I’m doing a Scrambler conversion on it with semi knobby tires and much more. These engines are over built and can handle a 865cc big bore kit without problems.
would be awesome if someone made a hardtail chopper kit for this. Always thought the choppers looked cool with parallel twins instead of a v twin. then again they would look cool to me with a bmw airhead engine too
Reminds me of a Honda 750 (I believe) that's so popular
Love poison, love royal Enfield, thisbis great.
Royal Enfield’s bikes are super appealing. When did you get into video and photography, Rikki?
Started on film in high school in a photography class. When I was able to afford something I got a canon Rebel and went to town! My how times have changed.
@@ThePoisonDrummer Yep, that’s a while ago. Ditto for me - film from the age of 12. I’m 56, now, and loving it as much as ever, but video has me hooked, now, too. I especially love coming up with unique ways to shoot action car vids.
I have a honda rc42,the royal enfield is next on my list😎
I have had my Triumph Tr-6 with a hard tail and magneto for 40 years. RE650 should have hydraulic valve adjustment and belt drive. My Sportster does, and all l do is change the fluids and filter.Belts last 100,000+ miles or more . The RE 650 was never made on British tooling. The old RE 350 pre unit singles were built on old worn out tooling.
100% correct!
They make big bore kits like an 865 or similar for them.
💗
Check out the Classic 350 ! You will fall in love with it
Fly screen.
S&S pipes.
Stadium bar end mirrors.
👍
Performance? Nope
High tech ? Nope
Soul? Off the scale
Character? Off the scale
Retro? This and the 350 classic unbeatable.
Pure biking no modes no fancy shit.
I'm waiting for Norton to hopefully bring the Commando here to the states. I love the cafe racer style. Thought about building my own...but really dont have the time. Nothing else out there really interest me other than the Commando. I'm too old for the sport bike thing....been there done that. Harley - Fatboy and Indian Bobber are way over priced. Paying for the name! Triumph doesnt make anything that interest me.
How long has that dealer been there? When I lived in that area around 2007 Saugus’s Suzuki, and Santa Clarita Motorsports were the bike places.
A little off topic but, just wondering if you ever did the Love Ride. One of the guys in our club (Road Agents mc Detroit) named Squire (r.i.p.), used to always do the Love Ride every year out there. I rode to Arizona last summer as my farthest trip last year. From spring to fall I take a pretty good trip cross country somewhere about once a month. East, South, North, West...
This year is Kansas City MO, Sturgis SD, Nashville TN, Myrtle Beach SC, Orlando FL, cant remember where else, have to check my reservations, lol rock on Rikki ride hard
Yes. I have done the Love ride many times.
Cool bike, I'll keep my Harley though, its much nicer, but i always loved the old British bikes triumph norton bsa royal enfield matchless vincent ..etc,... Had a 1971 Tiger 750.
it looks like a great bike .. yet after having a custom harley when I was 16 and then ditching it on the highway during the winter.. on the highway doing 60mph luckily I did not kill myself of the bike... hit black ice.. hell no one told me you are not suppose to ride a bike in the winter.. but needless to say have not been on a bike since and I am 55 now.
Just doesn't have the note for me, wanna see that next bike!
Devon Larratt bike enthusiasts version
This is not 2024 model it is 2023 model I have also the same bike which I got in november 2023
Don’t get why that guy wants to buy it if he wants to up the power. I own one. If I wanted something more powerful I would have gotten a Triumph.
Yes, the bike is Indian, but it is inspired by British Cafe racers, hence it is called a cafe racer😅
All royal enfield bikes are totally different to the old ones. I don't think there's any dies or moulds etc used. Oldest motorcycle company in the world. Never went out of production. They built a factory in India in the 50's became it made more sense than exporting them. When R E went under in the late 60's/ early 70's, enfield India kept going. All the models from the last 5 or so years are totally new and different. Designed in England, built in India. Unbeatable for the price. 3 year unlimited mileage warranty. Can't go wrong. I didn't, I own one. 100 smiles per gallon. Easy! 😂😊
Can it do 3 figures easily? Yes it can . would you want to take it to the track? No you wouldn't. Does it make you feel good? Yes it does. Does it look beautiful ? Yes it does.... Top trumps BHP is juvenile BS IMO and misses the point of the real world Motorcycle experience.
Does it come with a free pair of hiking boots? 😁
Здоровья и счастья вам ни гвоздя ни жезгла. У нас так говорят. Делаете очень классные обзоры мотоциклов я буду очень благодарен вам
It's INDIAN
and...?
@@ThePoisonDrummer it's a Indian Brand.. That's it.
I think I spelled that out.@@suryasiva9833
