Droop Loop arent you a clever one? Did you notice it was dark and that the other riders got the hell out of the way before going to help. Can you understand why that is the safer thing to do? Old mate dropping his bike in the middle of the road in the dark at an intersection like a 10 year old drops his bicycle on the lawn. It takes a few seconds to move out of the way, then go help. So yeah, it was stupid.
My state a misdemeanor is up to one year in jail, to get over a year it has to be a felony charge. Edit: Merely stating law of my state, not anything else.

The second that so called state trooper started asking them for ID and to remove helmets I would of asked to see his ID. He could of been anyone pretending to be police.
Facts. I dealt with somebody claiming to be a state trooper (he had a security badge) while learning how to ride. He acted the same way. Unfortunately I don’t do well with being threatened lol. He kept touching my bike then tried pushing me off of it so we got physical and when the real police got there “Mr. State trooper” got arrested for assault and impersonating an officer.
Man he is lucky lol he didn't have his badge on him at first n if the guys he stopped had guns and didn't believe he was a cop he could have been shot for acting stupid.

He never should have given them a break, he should have called the police and had them arrested for trespassing. That was his mistake, not yelling at a couple guys old enough to know better than to ride past signage and trespass on his land.
It’s also very annoying if you want to hunt and there are always people scaring away your game. Doesn’t matter, if it’s his property, he can do what he wants but other people have to ask first

How is stating you're a trooper a threat? it prevents kids from acting immature and making a situation a life changing event... A lot of riders would've cussed him out, maybe even attacked him, theats an autmatic 1 year + jail sentence., not to mention the fact they were admittedly trespassing.

They both could have done better to avoid that crash. But at the end of the day if you're relying on other people for your safety youre in for a world of hurt. That is to say, while the accident isn't technically his fault, the biker could have avoided the accident if he didn't panic break and approached intersections with greater caution. I'd rather have my bike and be alive, then lose either of them but be technically "in the right". Just like that bmw later on. He deliberately drove into oncoming traffic just because "he was in the right". Utterly stupid when you're on a bike.
In the USA, by law, you are not obligated to show or tell them shit unless; 1) They tell you what crime exactly you committed and that there's evidence 2) There's a warrant out for you

Most cases if you stop and actually talk to the people like equals most of these problems get solved. I get land owners being one and i get most bikers who follow some trail and end up someone elses land. I have followed some trail and bump into someones back yard while they were in hot tub.. just went "I take that trail was not public one and i'm now in your land? Sorry about that, mind telling me where the official trails are?" Got pretty good reception and figured the routes out. Asshats kids that intentionally go ripping on someone elses land and try rile up land owners by acting tough and then drive away to come back moment later are giving bikers bad name and create situations like this that do not end well as this one. I just hope these guys actually learned from this.

You request they leave, you don't get to demand personal information. He probably has no insurance. That's why if you ride a bike in the US you better get an uninsured motorist coverage because it's like 15% of drivers out there without insurance and probably much higher depending on the city demographics.
And it always seems like people who hit motorcyclist has no insurance, which probably means they're driving under the influence, or illegally without a license.
That angry guy is the reason why some people hate cops so much, that they'll either do everything to run or fight them. Gleefully smiling while threatening to throw young people to jail for YEARS (for riding bikes instead of like.. joining gangs or doing drugs or something) and ruining their lives. While at the same time bragging about how "I oWn 600 aCrEs oF LaNd 😊😊😊" I'm glad he was fair in the end because the bikers were understanding and chill too.
The problem was the bikers were making excuses instead of apologizing. Had the bikers apologized from the start, the trooper would have been much calmer.

On leap year, my girlfriend and I were walking in our neighborhood and got struck by a car. She rolled completely over the car while I was holding onto her car for literally dear life. It was almost a hit and run until I was banging my fist on her windshield and she finally stopped. My girl is okay and so am I (after many hospital visits). It is a very weird feeling getting off a car who hit you and seeing that your own head broke the hell out of a windshield.

That isn't some ""gotcha" moment. He's saying he doesn't want people riding bikes or quads on his land because he himself admitted to being a hunter. The loud noise of the vehicles will ruin his hunt. Plus, you and I don't even know if he actually uses that thing since its entirely possible that he's simply transporting a friends quad. If I owned a 600+ acre plot of land and used it for hunting animals, I also wouldn't want any super loud and obnoxious vehicles scaring off the potential hunts. One is more than enough since he likely uses the quad for tracking the deer after its been hit. Try looking at it from his perspective. The person recording is obviously in the wrong. He just isn't necessarily a bad person beyond the trespass.

I plan on riding very soon and Moto Madness has taught me tons of ways things can go right or wrong for bikers, what to look out for and to have a general sense of your surroundings.
I have to agree with that "angry man". The fool on the motorcycle admitted to him that they'd seen the no trespassing signs everywhere. I'd be pretty pissed off if people were sneaking on to my property blatantly disregarding signs as well.
trespassing onto property is different from riding on a Road. If there isnt a gate, its publicly accessible. Aka public easement. A road with signs on the sides means you cant leave the public easement and go onto the property. But the road itself, unless gated, is public easement. Example, i have to use my neighbors road through his property to access my property. He has called the cops twice now and each time the police informed him of the difference between easement and trespassing.

He is off duty, that means he isn't acting in an official manner. He is at the time a private citizen. He broke several laws and code of conduct as an "officer" to intimidate those guys. The situation was clear, he either presses charges or doesn't, as a private citizen. He wasn't in an official capacity so they didn't have to comply with anything he said. Its' good that it ended the way it did, but he would have been in a lot of trouble if he had called the "troopers" in, because he broke a lot of rules there. Yes, they were trespassing, but that doesn't mean he's can detain them. He could shoot them, but good luck showing they were a threat of any kind when they stopped when he asked them too. Facts. I dealt with somebody claiming to be a state trooper (he had a security badge) while learning how to ride. He acted the same way. Unfortunately I don’t do well with being threatened lol. He kept touching my bike then tried pushing me off of it so we got physical and when the real police got there “Mr. State trooper” got arrested for assault and impersonating an officer.
Man he is lucky lol he didn't have his badge on him at first n if the guys he stopped had guns and didn't believe he was a cop he could have been shot for acting stupid.

Most cases if you stop and actually talk to the people like equals most of these problems get solved. I get land owners being one and i get most bikers who follow some trail and end up someone elses land. I have followed some trail and bump into someones back yard while they were in hot tub.. just went "I take that trail was not public one and i'm now in your land? Sorry about that, mind telling me where the official trails are?" Got pretty good reception and figured the routes out.
Asshats kids that intentionally go ripping on someone elses land and try rile up land owners by acting tough and then drive away to come back moment later are giving bikers bad name and create situations like this that do not end well as this one. I just hope these guys actually learned from this.

On leap year, my girlfriend and I were walking in our neighborhood and got struck by a car. She rolled completely over the car while I was holding onto her car for literally dear life. It was almost a hit and run until I was banging my fist on her windshield and she finally stopped. My girl is okay and so am I (after many hospital visits). It is a very weird feeling getting off a car who hit you and seeing that your own head broke the hell out of a windshield.

That isn't some ""gotcha" moment. He's saying he doesn't want people riding bikes or quads on his land because he himself admitted to being a hunter. The loud noise of the vehicles will ruin his hunt. Plus, you and I don't even know if he actually uses that thing since its entirely possible that he's simply transporting a friends quad. If I owned a 600+ acre plot of land and used it for hunting animals, I also wouldn't want any super loud and obnoxious vehicles scaring off the potential hunts. One is more than enough since he likely uses the quad for tracking the deer after its been hit. Try looking at it from his perspective. The person recording is obviously in the wrong. He just isn't necessarily a bad person beyond the trespass.

If there isnt a gate, its publicly accessible. Aka public easement.
A road with signs on the sides means you cant leave the public easement and go onto the property.
But the road itself, unless gated, is public easement.
Example, i have to use my neighbors road through his property to access my property.

@@sneakyshelly3532 He has the right to press charges on them for tresspassing. He can ask for ID, but they aren't required to show any or even identify themselves. He is off duty, that means he isn't acting in an official manner. He is at the time a private citizen. He broke several laws and code of conduct as an "officer" to intimidate those guys. The situation was clear, he either presses charges or doesn't, as a private citizen. He wasn't in an official capacity so they didn't have to comply with anything he said.
Its' good that it ended the way it did, but he would have been in a lot of trouble if he had called the "troopers" in, because he broke a lot of rules there. Yes, they were trespassing, but that doesn't mean he's can detain them. He could shoot them, but good luck showing they were a threat of any kind when they stopped when he asked them too.
Essentially, he abused his power and violated their rights. Yes, they were breaking the law, but that doesn't change the facts.
