Just started playing pokemon legends arceus, it's everything I wanted the original pokemon to be! There's a more natural bond between you and your pokemon as you fight in the wild and interact with the environment. They did a good job making the player feel immersed between crafting system, fluid combat and strategy (ability to change moves at a whim), incentive to complete the pokedex and making it a fun challenge. Even the pokemon attacks seem more impactful like they actually hit your opponents. I haven't felt the same level of excitement since pokemon yellow first came out on gameboy color. All the other games in the franchise stuck to the old original formula for combat that felt slow, clunky, and made filling the pokedex a chore. As more pokemon are added with each generation, there needs to be a streamlined approach to "catching them all", and legends does that perfectly. I hope they make more games similar to legends just with better graphics and gym leaders to battle.
Yes! Pokemon Legends Arceus is just on another level. It does things that make me think, THIS is what they should have been doing a long time ago! I have never played a pokemon game... I watched the first 3 seasons as a kid but i stopped watching it. I'm 29 now and I'm rewatching the 1st season. I'm very nostalgic. Now I'm very excited to play my first pokemon geme!
That’s great! I really enjoyed Let’s Go and Legends Arceus! If you love season one of the anime, you might really like Let’s Go because it’s mostly based on the anime! Anyway, thanks for taking the time to comment!
Thank you I was really trying to decide which one to get because he’s games are so expensive! So I was trying to figure out which one to get first to see if I like them compared to the originals you really helped me out. Thank you so much!
No problem! Also, if you play Let’s go, two players can play together . The second player can run around on the map, also throw poke balls when catching Pokémon, and the battles become two on two with each player controlling one Pokémon!
Loved let's go pikachu now I'm on legends arceus and yea this is the game I waited for since I started my journey ages ago. Giant maps full of pokemon, quests and epic battles with attacks that really blow my mind. It's awesome, like a dream come true. 😊
I hope you enjoy both games! The Switch has an excellent collection of games so I think the Switch OLED is a good choice, especially if you play on the go. Or you're like me, and sometimes play on the coach, sometimes play in bed, haha.
I 100% agree with this list. I am curious if you played the new Pokemon Snap. I thoroughly enjoyed that and it would be number 2 in my list after Legends Arceus.
Oh, I guess if we add in Pokemon snap our lists are slightly different, haha. I would put it right in the middle. Above SP BD & SwSH for sure but I didn't like it as much as Lets Go and Legends. I really liked Snap but I wish the pacing in general was just a little bit faster.
Only game of these 4 I’ve played is Let’s Go Eevee and I absolutely loved it. Had the nostalgia of Gen 1 but with modern touches. I don’t like how you can’t battle wild Pokémon, but apart from that I have no complaints. I’m not really interested in Sword/Shield/Diamond/Pearl but I am interested in Legends Arceus. Also interested in Scarlet and Violet. Might give one of those & legends a try.
@@elithegaymer thanks for recommendation mate. I will definitely give it a go at some point. I’ve heard good things about it. I’m just not so keen on Sword/Shield/Diamond/Pearl, but that’s just me. Doesn’t necessarily mean they’re bad games. LOVED let’s go. I picked Eevee because Eevee is one of my favourite Pokémon 😁
I’ve played every game so far on the switch and I can’t agree more. I was a bit cautious about getting it until recently I played at a friends house and I loved it. It brings a new interest into filling the Pokédex and the olden time effect which is really cool. Evolved so much since my leaf green on the gba!
Yeah, to me, the Pokemon games were amazing and revolutionary at the time, but they have evolved so slowly since then. On the Switch, I feel like some of the games have finally taken it to the next level!
Thanks for this. Feeling very nostalgic. I grew up with the anime (Indigo League) and was playing Gold on my pc. Was thinking of buying a Switch just to satisfy my nostalgia. Now I know which is most suited for me: Let's Go it is. I am not a big fan of newer generations. For me, generations 1+2 are the best, as is the original storyline (Indigo League).
Thanks for taking the time to comment! Yeah, I think you will like Lets Go if you liked Pokemon Yellow! This game has amazing graphics and seeing the Pokemon in the wild is so fun!
Never played a pokemon game but i seen arceus was like a open world rpg and was instantly intrigued and im so happy seeing it #1 i was scared after reading reviews saying viloet was better but i trusted my gut and i have no regrets!!
Feel like diamond and pearl deserve more respect, they’re not supposed to be anything new and they let us know that in the trailer. Bdsp are just if you want to play the orginal games with new graphics and some quality of life changes, id give it 7.5
If you like the easier games, then you should enjoy Let's Go as well! I think Arceus is more for hardcore gamers, haha. Even for me, the boss battles are a little bit too difficult (some I had to retry several times).
I’m a casual adult who didn’t play Pokémon growing up, always preferred action, and Ultra Sun was nice until I got bored with it . Let’s Go has been a great new start with the series for me, I like the chill vibe of it , perfect for the switch. I have Shield to play next, and I will get to Arceus when I have more time to invest on it ( Warframe, ahem).
Last played Gold/Silver and Crystal back in the late 90s/early 2000s. Now in my mid 30s and planning to get a switch lite. Which switch Pokemon game should I get? Will I be overwhelmed with new Pokemons?
I would reccomend playing the DS pokemon games. They're the best in the series. The best pokemon game ever made in my opinion is actually the remake of pokemon silver/gold/crystal called pokemon soulsilver/heartgold.
I was neglected as a kid, and Pokemon games were always kind of the way I escaped from that environment. Coming back to the franchise with a Switch more than a decade later, in my mid 30s, and I am in love! Like, I definitely get your criticisms, but I have enjoyed Scarlet / Violet - and Sword and Shield made me cry, lol. Hop's story was so cute, and I was so invested. I am saving Areceus for last, because the new legends is coming out soon! :) But I've been having a blast in all of them, and I am SO EXCTED :D Also, I remember kind of falling off because some of the Pokemon designs just started to feel REALLY unappealing at a certain point, but I feel like these new games are great - and the new Pokemon designs are beautiful all around! Some things are kind of weird, but they definitely aren't a bag of literal garbage, lol.
I made an updated list! I was personally disappointed with Scarlet/Violet. I really thought I would enjoy it more than Lets Go, but... ruclips.net/video/g_CIz2KmizA/видео.html
Thank you for this video ❤️ I just bought Pokemon Violet but still not played it yet on my switch but now I feel like my heart going to regret if I don't try to play Pokemon Archeus first lol
Very helpful video. I’m looking for a game to introduce my 6 year old (also named Eli) to Pokémon. Do you think Arceus or Lets go Pikachu would be better for him?
I think Lets Go would be the better choice! Arceus is aimed at a slightly older crowd and has some slightly more difficult boss battles that might be difficult for a younger gamer to beat. I think Lets Go Pikachu is the best option for younger fans because its a bit easier and was made to be enjoyed by everyone, both young and old.
It depends! If you like the anime/the original games and are ok with a different Pokemon catching technique, I think you will enjoy it. I think its the most polished/best looking of all 5 games too. It doesn't have as much depth as Violet/Scarlet and Arceus though.
I played sapphire as a kid on my game boy - loved it but I had no sense of direction as far as finishing the game lol I had no idea how I just remember catching some legendaries - arceus looks amazing but I still want to do gym battles? What do you recommend
You might prefer Scarlet and Violet then. It has some features from Acreus plus it has gym battles and a relatively long storyline. If you can look past graphical glitches then it’s a good game. I still prefer Arceus (more polished and emphasis on Pokémon catching) but if you need gym battles you might prefer Scarlet and Violet.
I would say that Pokémon Let’s Go is probably the best for younger games. Arceus has some difficult bosses, so it’s probably not the best choice for younger gamers. A second choice would be Sword. Sword is very straightforward so it shouldn’t be too difficult either.
I just got my switch last year. While I have been a pokemon fan for almost a decade now, I didn't get my first pokemon game until last year. I got Pokemon Sword and I thought it was a pretty good pokemon game. Now I want to get a new game, which one should I go for?
If you liked Shield, you might like Pearl/Diamond since it uses the same formula. I personally would recommend Legends Arceus to everyone except for young gamers (some of the bosses are a bit hard).
I haven't got Sword/Shield or Scarlet/Violet yet. But so far I definitely agree that Arceus is the best game for a LOT of reasons. Not least of which is that you actually get the full experience without having to either buy two games or trade with someone who bought the one you don't have. Pokemon games are expensive enough as they are. And Game Freak nickle and diming the players by the parallel game releases I've always found quite scummy.
Yeah, I also love that Legends is just one game, instead of all the others that come in a pair. It's even more of a bummer because the games rarely go on sale... and when they do it's usually only like $10 or $20 off... I would buy Pokemon Eevee if it were ever $20 or so.
ty for your reviews! I'm only 21 but I'm kind of an oldschool when it comes to pokemon games, only played the games up to Platinum, so everything that came out later are new to me. honestly, with a new game each year, it gets veryy confusing @_@ but I'm glad there are videos like these in here. I was looking to try Brilliant Pearl but you've convinced me to try Let's Go Pikachu first. I'm all in for some nostalgia with good looking graphics!
Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment! I appreciate it. If you are a big Pokemon fan, then I think you will enjoy all of the games (to varying levels). Have fun with them!
I made an update video! I wanted to rank it higher than 3, but unfortunately it is way too unstable… All 5 Pokemon Games Ranked! - Scarlet & Violet Update! ruclips.net/video/g_CIz2KmizA/видео.html
So for Pokémon Pikachu and Eevee, which are two different games which game has more to do with the original 150 Pokémon I’m assuming both of us news and how easy is part of the original 150 Pokémon but I just don’t know which one I should get
My switch is arriving today and I needed this!!! I haven’t played Pokémon since gen 2 (and a bit of Pokémon go) so I wanted something nostalgic and will definitely be going for let’s go pikachu!
In February 2022, Nintendo said that they feel Switch is half way through its life cycle. Nintendo already planned for the Switch to have a long lifeline, and then because of Covid and supply chain issues, I’m guessing that it will still be another year or two before a Switch Pro is announced (if there ever even is one).
@@slurpz9236 I’d recommend Violet and Scarlet before Sword and Shield (as long as you are ok with graphical glitches). Violet and Scarlet are the newest games so they have current events. I have a few videos about V/S on my channel if you want more information about them.
Let's go Eevee is so good! Literally loved it. I'm not really a fan of Arceus honestly, because the pokemon are scary and it's not really giving the pokemon vibes that you're normally used to, which is obvious since it's from the past but just not my preference hahaha. Still deciding between Diamond and Violet rn
@hooaah5561Gen 9 is Scarlet and Violet the 2 School Academies Naranja and Uva Orange and Grape. I like that its a MMO Multiplayer if only it allowed more than just 4 players
Pokémon Let’s Go is the easiest, has the best graphics, and is a remake of the original set of games, so I’d say start with Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu or Eevee (just pick whichever you like more).
You know, I have never bought two versions of any of the Pokémon games… but I still kind of have the urge to get Pokémon Eevee! I keep waiting for it to go on sale though because I don’t want to buy it full price.
I do want to make a follow up to this video with all five, but I haven’t made up my mind about Violet and Scarlet just quite yet… It’s definitely in between Sword/Shield and Arceus, but it’s hard to rank because it runs so poorly. If they can patch it and make it run smoother, I’d say it could become number 2. As it is right now, probably number 3. I recommend people to wait on V/S. I bet it will be a better experience after a couple of more updates.
@@Trayfel Your switch could also be set to automatically download updates. If not you can push the + button to check for updates. Physical and digital copies work the same. Also, if you have it, don’t forget to pick up a free flying Pikachu through the mystery gift!
I would put it in 3rd place. It’s way better than Sword, Shield, Pearl, and Diamond, but it’s not polished enough when compared to Lets Go and Arceus. It is fun, but it’s really rough performance wise.
I'm a huge pokemon fan. But I'm new to nintendo, just got my switch recently for TotK. I'm planning to buy Arceus, but I feel I might not like it because sometimes the world looks empty and some people say its just grind and nothing else. Does it feel grindy or does it keep us interesting. PS: I don't think I'll like scarlet/violet, so I'm not considering it. 😅
I personally was so interested in both Arceus and Let’s Go Pikachu that I completed the Pokédex in both games. The other three games I just completed the main story and stopped.
i just ordered the switch lite and legends arceus. coming this weekend. i feel even better after this video, thanks so much!!!! edit: im def going to get legends z when that releases. i came back to pokemon after my childhood, during x&y. very excited
Honestly, I'd put it under Pokemon Let's Go P/E, which is sad because I thought it would be at least number two. I like that it was ambitious for them, but it didn't quite hit the mark. I feel like it tries to be a traditional Pokemon game and Legends Arceus at the same time, but doesn't really succeed at being either.
Damn, just got a switch and try to decide which game to play. Invested tons of hours in gen 1 to 4. Not so much on the followed Gens, but still a lot. And now o really have no idea which game I should choose on switch especially when the opinions around them diver so much. Arceus looks pretty cool tho
Nice video, i just got into pokemon games cause of my son, we just finished lets go pickachu and it was realy nice, we had a blast with it, and it was easy acces for him. Now i want to buy a new game, so what would be better for a 7 year old, legend of arceus or sword/shield?
Will you be able to help him through some parts of the game? I think Arceus is the better game, but it does have boss battles that are a bit difficult. Sword and shield are easier and everything is turn based so it might be the better choice for younger gamers.
@@elithegaymer yeah i help him out, cause he can't read english, and i did the most battles for him, but after i printed out a type chart for him, he was able to do the easy battles as wel, only with certain fights i helped him. And yeah i see and hear good thing about acreus, but because it is more story based maybe sword/shield would be better more easy acces for him when i don't have time to play with him. But eventualy i will buy it acreus as wel. Apreciate the response
At first, I felt it was harsh that you were putting sword/shield #3. But then I thought about your explanation. I enjoyed it while I was playing, but I also had no desire to keep playing after the credits rolled. And I've never gone back to it.
Did you go back to Pearl and Sword? I actually spent a decent amount of time with Let’s Go and Arceus. I’ve played quite a few Pokémon games and to me… the formula has gotten stale. Let’s Go and Arceus both feel fresh… Like new games. I know some people love to hate on Let’s Go, but I love the graphics, the gameplay loop, and the shiny hunting methods. I DO wish there were more end game content though. I felt motivated enough to complete the whole Pokédex in Arceus and Let’s Go. I lost interest in Sword and Pearl way too early for that.
Pokemon Shining Pearl has a 50% off sale on a local store and I was debating whether i should get it or not, this video made me realize why its 50% off
Well… you could always buy both! Otherwise just choose which Pokémon you like more… Though yeah, I also love both Pikachu and Eevee so it was difficult for me as well.
I just bought the diamond on clearance for £20 as a intro to Pokémon as I’ve never played and didn’t want to splash in case I didn’t like it. I’m enjoying it so looking forward to the rest if they are better

As a big fan of pokemon series, I was impress with Arceus. Can’t believe new gen series can impress me that much. Great review btw
thank you. I am totally new to nintendo and couldn't decide on which game should be my first Pokemon game ever, but this helped!
You’re welcome! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a nice comment!
Im playing Arceus rn and I like it a lot, but I honestly miss the arena fights and exploring some cities
Well, if you like exploring cities, you might not like Violet/Scarlet... You can't go inside any of the people's homes and even most stores are just a menu, haha. There are arena fights though!
Just completed it yesterday. Its by far the best and most fun pokemon game I have played in a long time.
@@ssshankyyyyywhat game did you complete
thank you for this video! i am painfully new to Pokemon, i recognize some of the main Pokemon and that's about it. i've been trying and trying to figure out which game to start with and not having a lot of luck, but i actually tried the demo for Let's Go Eevee today and thought that seemed good. based on what you discussed here, that's where i'm going to start! :)
Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave such a nice comment! I hope you enjoy Let’s Go! I think if you like it from the beginning you’ll love the rest of the game as well.
THANK YOU!!! Straight forward + well explained
Thanks for taking the time to comment! Hope it helped you!
@@elithegaymer ah excellent! I was thinking on getting legends. But if let's go is the one you recommend I'll go for that! Thanks!!
@@victormurphy7956 They are both great games! I think if you play Arceus first though it will be hard to go back and play the others, haha.
@@elithegaymer that's what i thought! I'm at Walmart right now getting let's go pikachu! 😬

Thank you I was really trying to decide which one to get because he’s games are so expensive! So I was trying to figure out which one to get first to see if I like them compared to the originals you really helped me out. Thank you so much!
No problem! Thank you for taking the time to leave a nice comment! I appreciate it.
@@elithegaymer np😊 have a great day! (I ended up getting let’s go eevee 1st then arceus, definitely worth it!!)
This is very useful info for Christmas shopping. Thanks and all the best!
Thanks for taking the time to comment! Merry Christmas!
😂❤🎉Thxs Comandurr for the link here I liked and subscribed
really appreciate the breakdown as a dad attempting to play them with his 8-year-old!
I’m a big Pokémon Go player but thinking of getting a switch Oled. I think let’s go pikachu and arceus are the top of my list. Thank u for this 😊
I hope you enjoy both games!
I really liked Snap but I wish the pacing in general was just a little bit faster.
where would violet and scarlet be?

Nice review. I couldnt decide with to play. This helped!!
Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment! I hope you enjoy whichever game you choose.
You should definitely give Arceus a try when you get the chance! I'm glad to hear that you also enjoyed Let's Go.
Thanks just got switch for Pokemon games !! Starting with the best one !!
I hope you enjoy it!
Wtf lmao at 2:55 when the battle starts "the sunlight is harsh" as it's night out lol
Really helpful guide, thank you.

Yo, thanks for this. Dunno why I never heard of Arceus before. Looks good
Yeah, it came out in between two other Pokémon releases so it’s understandable that you missed it. Hope you enjoy it!
I had the most fun with the BDSP lol
I’m glad to hear that! I had so much fun with Legends Arceus.
Feel like diamond and pearl deserve more respect, they’re not supposed to be anything new and they let us know that in the trailer. Bdsp are just if you want to play the orginal games with new graphics and some quality of life changes, id give it 7.5
One of the better Pokémon reviews on RUclips! I will be buying arceus now thanks
Thanks! I hope you enjoy it!
Sword and shield was super fun and easy to learn as a newbie Pokémon fan at 34 lol Definitely want Arceus just a little intimidated by it…
If you like the easier games, then you should enjoy Let's Go as well! I think Arceus is more for hardcore gamers, haha. Even for me, the boss battles are a little bit too difficult (some I had to retry several times).
Great review
I’ve got let’s go Pikachu and Shining Pearl, love them both. Let’s go really surprised me!
Will you do (or have you done) a video after playing Scarlet Violet? 😊 I'm interested in watching that!
Here you go! : ruclips.net/video/g_CIz2KmizA/видео.html
@@elithegaymer thank you Eli!! You rock 💖
Ive played pokemon games before on my gameboy advance. I just got my switch oled and will get the arceus. Thanks for the video.
Good video and solid reasoning
I was neglected as a kid, and Pokemon games were always kind of the way I escaped from that environment. Coming back to the franchise with a Switch more than a decade later, in my mid 30s, and I am in love! Like, I definitely get your criticisms, but I have enjoyed Scarlet / Violet - and Sword and Shield made me cry, lol. Hop's story was so cute, and I was so invested. I am saving Areceus for last, because the new legends is coming out soon! :) But I've been having a blast in all of them, and I am SO EXCTED :D
Also, I remember kind of falling off because some of the Pokemon designs just started to feel REALLY unappealing at a certain point, but I feel like these new games are great - and the new Pokemon designs are beautiful all around! Some things are kind of weird, but they definitely aren't a bag of literal garbage, lol.
I’ve got nostalgia of ruby and sapphire and emerald, which new one should I get? Wanting to pick up a switch here soon
What about Pokémon scarlet and violet? Where do they rank?
I made an updated list! I was personally disappointed with Scarlet/Violet. I really thought I would enjoy it more than Lets Go, but... ruclips.net/video/g_CIz2KmizA/видео.html
Since I never played anything after leaf green, I’m really excited to play Shining Pearl
Haha, wow, I'm almost the same as you you! Pre-Switch I'd only played the originals, Leafgreen, and Pearl. Missed all the others.
Thank you for this video ❤️ I just bought Pokemon Violet but still not played it yet on my switch but now I feel like my heart going to regret if I don't try to play Pokemon Archeus first lol
You're welcome! Thanks for taking the time to comment! I hope you enjoy both games!
I really appreciate you for this video thanks
Thank you for taking the time to watch and leaving a nice comment!
I just want the closest thing to the old school experience to play handheld on switch. What should I get?
You should probably just go with Brilliant Diamond then.
Loved the video 💖
Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment!
Awesome thanks!
I just started Sword on my new Switch Lite, is let's go worth going back and playing?
It depends! If you like the anime/the original games and are ok with a different Pokemon catching technique, I think you will enjoy it. I think its the most polished/best looking of all 5 games too. It doesn't have as much depth as Violet/Scarlet and Arceus though.
@@elithegaymer thank you!! 😎🤘
Great video 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for taking the time to watch and leave a nice comment!
I’ve never played a Pokémon game before besides on Roblox, should I try Shining Pearl and Arceus??
Honestly I think everyone should try Arceus so I would say start there haha.
@@elithegaymer yes I will Arceus then thx
Whats a good pokemon game for my 6 year old son on switch?
Which would be best for someone’s first Pokémon game that’s never played a Pokémon before?
If you’re a gamer, then go with Pokémon Legends Arceus. If you are new to gaming as a whole, I would say Let’s Go Pikachu.
How about Pokemon Scarlet and Violet? How much rank will it get...
I made an update video! I wanted to rank it higher than 3, but unfortunately it is way too unstable… All 5 Pokemon Games Ranked! - Scarlet & Violet Update!
ruclips.net/video/g_CIz2KmizA/видео.html
You say it doesn’t bring anything new to the table. I don’t think I’m alone that I want an updated remake of blue/red. OG
So for Pokémon Pikachu and Eevee, which are two different games which game has more to do with the original 150 Pokémon I’m assuming both of us news and how easy is part of the original 150 Pokémon but I just don’t know which one I should get
I've got pokemon violet right now and might try and get pokemon legends arceus since I saw some gameplay and really want it
So let’s go pikachu is more like the originals than the remake of Diamond/ pearl?
My switch is arriving today and I needed this!!! I haven’t played Pokémon since gen 2 (and a bit of Pokémon go) so I wanted something nostalgic and will definitely be going for let’s go pikachu!
Thanks for taking the time to leave a nice comment! I really like my Switch and I hope you enjoy it as well!
Hello. Can you give me some idea? What should i play first from your top4? Should i play shinning pearl first or jump into Arceus?
If you’re going to play all of them, I would probably still recommend the same order - Pearl first - Shield - Violet - Lets Go - Arceus.
@@elithegaymer thank you. ❤️
Hey its too late too getting new switch to playing all the games you mentioned? Or should i wait for switch pro?
In February 2022, Nintendo said that they feel Switch is half way through its life cycle. Nintendo already planned for the Switch to have a long lifeline, and then because of Covid and supply chain issues, I’m guessing that it will still be another year or two before a Switch Pro is announced (if there ever even is one).
I just got a switch (I have never played a Pokémon game before) what do you think I should get
I would say, start with Legends Arcues if you are a gamer. If you are younger or not very good at games, then Let's Go is the better choice.
What about sword and shield?
@@slurpz9236 I’d recommend Violet and Scarlet before Sword and Shield (as long as you are ok with graphical glitches). Violet and Scarlet are the newest games so they have current events. I have a few videos about V/S on my channel if you want more information about them.
Ok thanks, I think I will get Legends of Arceus. This helped a lot!
Diamond>. Just play it for the vibes, violet is just sad.
@@enrique2079 totally agree with you.
Avoid gen 9 its horrible doesn't feel like Pokémon don't recommend.
@hooaah5561Gen 9 is Scarlet and Violet the 2 School Academies Naranja and Uva Orange and Grape. I like that its a MMO Multiplayer if only it allowed more than just 4 players
Which one would you recommend to a complete beginner? Like someone who has never played a pokemon game at all?
Pokémon Let’s Go is the easiest, has the best graphics, and is a remake of the original set of games, so I’d say start with Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu or Eevee (just pick whichever you like more).
very useful thx
I love let’s go eevee because we actually got to play like Pokémon yellow but with eevee instead of Pikachu it’s been amazing
You know, I have never bought two versions of any of the Pokémon games… but I still kind of have the urge to get Pokémon Eevee! I keep waiting for it to go on sale though because I don’t want to buy it full price.
as a not serious pokemon player this was helpful! arceus is the move
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment! I’m glad you enjoyed it. And I hope you enjoy Arceus!
So now that scarlet and violet is out where would you put that?
I do want to make a follow up to this video with all five, but I haven’t made up my mind about Violet and Scarlet just quite yet… It’s definitely in between Sword/Shield and Arceus, but it’s hard to rank because it runs so poorly. If they can patch it and make it run smoother, I’d say it could become number 2. As it is right now, probably number 3. I recommend people to wait on V/S. I bet it will be a better experience after a couple of more updates.
@@elithegaymer would the game still update if I bought a physical copy of the game? Sorry for the dumb question, I’m pretty new to pokemon
@@Trayfel Your switch could also be set to automatically download updates. If not you can push the + button to check for updates. Physical and digital copies work the same. Also, if you have it, don’t forget to pick up a free flying Pikachu through the mystery gift!
@@elithegaymer alright, thanks man. I’m probably going to pick up a copy of every game. Only one I’ve played so far was sword and I really liked it
Hello, where would you place pokemon violet and scarlet? Thank you
I would put it in 3rd place.

I hope you enjoy your new switch and the game! I am also looking forward to the next Legends game. I am glad that’s become its own spin off series!
How would you scale pokemon violet and scarlett (after update)
Honestly, I'd put it under Pokemon Let's Go P/E, which is sad because I thought it would be at least number two. I like that it was ambitious for them, but it didn't quite hit the mark. I feel like it tries to be a traditional Pokemon game and Legends Arceus at the same time, but doesn't really succeed at being either.
Where would you rank Scarlet & Violet here?

The fact that Pokemon Lets Go got mega evolutions is a big PLUS for me
At first, I felt it was harsh that you were putting sword/shield #3.
Thanks dude juss bought legends it’s downloading as we speak 🗣👌
Hope you enjoy it! Still the best Pokémon game on the switch.

Yeah, thankfully I bought it half off... If I had paid $60 for that game I would have been mad.
I’m stuck between let’s go evee or pickachu
Well… you could always buy both! Otherwise just choose which Pokémon you like more… Though yeah, I also love both Pikachu and Eevee so it was difficult for me as well.
I just bought the diamond on clearance for £20 as a intro to Pokémon as I’ve never played and didn’t want to splash in case I didn’t like it. I’m enjoying it so looking forward to the rest if they are better
