One Of The Illest And I Mean ILLEST Block Bangas That Most Heads Haven't Heard. I Got Blessed By This Back In 1998 Watching Rap City (Before It Went To Shit) And I Saw This Vid. These Guys Are Legends Unknown to The Masses. This Is One Example Of What Real Hip-Hop Is And The Core Of What It Always Will Be...
The first time I saw this video back in '98 or '99, it flipped my wig so bad. The song is CRACK!!! And the traveling graf was so dope. And rap city only played the video like once or twice ever. I especially liked the Run DMC sample in it. Classic!
man i only heard this once when i was a shorty, they played it on rap city twice and stoped for good.I cant beleave i jus ran in 2 this video.they should put this back on air,i bet they get madd props 4 their skills!
I read an interview with EL-P where he was talking about making beats that don't seem to make sense musically at first, and it's only as it evolves that you start to see the bigger picture. I really get what he meant when I watch this, at first it's just this crazy underground beat, but maybe 2/3rd's of the way through it's like a lightbulb goes off. This is an under appreciated classic, and one of the greatest hip-hop videos ever directed.
Wtf... Didnt realize I entered a playlist, was listening to one of my favorite artists Mos Def and ended up here suddently realizing shiiiit Im listening to El-P :D Another one of my absolute favz! Good taste my man, goooood taste!
O shittttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt!!!!!!!! i aint seen this video in a minute. i think every person in the world should atlease ride the subways in nyc once in their lifetime. peace

I can't understand shit they say but this is dope as fuck, been EL-P fan since his 2nd solo album but after RTJ dropped I started looking for everything he has ever contributed to and I found this. Thanks mother nature for creating such brilliant rapper, my favourite MC of all time
OMG the bboy pop n lock cop at the end was my fucking hero growing up. That dood knows what fucking time it is. 5 ELEMENT HIP HOP FOR LIFE... biggups to anyone else that's a breakdancing, beet producing, graffiti bombing scratch dj that likes to beatbox and write rhymes. I KNOW IM NOT THE ONLY ONE OUT THERE!!!! mad love to hip hop. fuck rap music!
Cage, R.A. the Rugged Man, Necro and Copywrite were his only real (white) peers in the underground, lyrically, from '94-'00. I never was a fan of anyone or anything Rhymesayers/Anticon.
i really hate the fact that there's such a big deal/distinguishment towards black vs white rappers. i acknowledge that people, including me, has a tendency to make this distinguishment, but i really hate that we do. the reason why we would do this is due to the stereotypical assumption that rappers have to be these gangster dudes that only black people can be (most likely due to their social enviroment), but thats like so far from the actual truth. besides, we should define people as ganster dudes (if being a gangster dude is even what it takes to be a rapper) if they are gangster dudes rather than just their skin color.
funcrusher plus one of the best hip hop albums ever, it came out right when hip hop needed it, diddy was putting out some bullshit and company flow saved the day

Just my opinion, I respect yours.
