Great diy video. I have the exact same ballast and its dead after 20 years. One quick question...can i wire the blue and red coming from the ballast to either blue and red going to light fixture wiring? I'm unsure if each wite has to go to a specific one. Thanks!
Good video man, but gotta say, if it was me, I would have just dropped the whole fixture and layed it on it's back for the swap, then put her back up, 2 wires and done. Maybe it's more than 2 screws holing it, but it looks like just 2 holding it to the beams
I have not done that yet, so I must defur to other videos that show that. Also, I have bought the LED lamps directly and probably will not convert. I can get 12 lamps for $100 so in my ming I am thinking that I will just replace them as I run out of bulbs.
I just had to do this at my job today and it relatively easy once you understand how to connect the wires

Yes you can wire the lights that way.
I would think the ballast should have enough length to go the OEM routing design.

It's a good idea to cut and splice wires cause pulling ends from receptacles can make them loose later.

I am not sure if you can go from four to two the way it is wired. You could put one in and then add a second and test it at each location.
