Sadly since its not a state the crime over there is INSANE like all other islands in the Caribbean. Many come over here and think they can pistol whip people in public like they do back home LOL - if this area interest you check out BORICUAS EN OCALA facebook group.

      YES, very similar except less crime i suppose. Not sure where the $ comes from in Marion Oaks.. since there are few rich people compared to SWFL.. Marion oaks is smaller, lehigh is MASSIVE. same type of deal. I think the "regular jobs" in Ocala are providing better living conditions for their poor than working for the rich in South Florida i've said this in the past and people think I am CRAZY.. based of this same observation..

      Well, almost all builders have quite similar models and little if any customization options. That probably explains why most subdivisions in Florida have the same models of home.

    Marion Oaks, Florida - The following crimes occurred in Marion Oaks.
    The Marion County Sheriff’s Office needs the public’s help in catching the criminals that committed these crimes.
    2019 Jonway Scooter valued at $700.00 was stolen from the driveway of a home in the 3900 block of S.W. 147th Lane Road in Marion Oaks.
    Someone broke into a home in the 7800 block of S.W. 128th Place by throwing a propane tank through a rear sliding glass door. Once inside, the thieves stole three (3) TVs valued at $1300.
    Someone tried to kick in the front door on a home located in the 13,000 block of S.W. 80th Avenue. When they were unsuccessful, they shattered a bedroom window. Upon entry, the thieves stole all electronics to include two (2) TVs, a laptop, a Xbox with four (4) controllers, a 32 GB iPod touch, multiple Xbox games, and currency valued at $1,900.
    Law abiding citizens who live in Marion Oaks say they are fed up with the lack of sheriff’s deputies on patrol in the area. One of the victims said she places the blame on Marion County Commissioners for being selfish, not the sheriff’s office.
    The victim of the home on S.W. 80th Avenue had a message for the criminals, “I don’t bust my ass as a single mom to provide for my kids for someone to take everything! God will take care of you… and if you come back, I will take care of you.”
    She also said, “What the hell is the point of calling 911 if no one is going to answer.”
    The break-ins occurred during broad daylight while the victims were at work earning a living.
    [Updated on September 17, 2019, to include an additional break-in.]
    Someone broke into a home in the 14,000 block of S.W. 42nd Terrace Road by prying open a rear window. Upon entry, the thieves ransacked the residence and forced open two (2) safes. Stolen was a shotgun, ammo, electronics, assorted jewelry, and currency with an estimated loss of $6,000. This break-in also occurred in broad daylight.
    If you have any information about the aforementioned crimes, you are asked call 352- 732-9111, or you can phone anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers of Marion County at 368-STOP or 368-7867. Text tips to 274637 using keyword 368STOP. Tips can also be submitted at www.ocalacrimestoppers.com.

    Wow, this looked really nice. I would have loved drone footage on this one. I don’t know about Marion Oaks/Ocala but this definitely caught my attention for several reasons. However, I know to do my own research but Jose @Florida Hood Vlogs you definitely give me something to start with for sure. As for that land at the green and White House looked pretty big but then I saw that blue house @5:00 and that looks even larger! Those new houses @11:28 look similar. Probably built by the same builder. I wonder WHO these ppl are (besides you) who give reviews on the State, City, Town, etc about the best/worse areas. I won’t be surprised that for areas such as this one in Marion Oaks developers, contractors and even the county itself purposely give “bad reviews” so they can keep the land for themselves. Meaning they will build, develop but THEN sell to various groups. I liked how the land on some houses were more spacious while the latter part of your video showed the homes with pretty good size land but not as large as the others. Even the older houses looked nice and well kept (exterior). I love a diverse neighborhood. Thanks for all the time and effort you put toward your videos!

      @@chexhcatialo3889 NOT SURE.. if i had to GUESS? Land is cheap, no need to build UP. builders here use CBS, second story with WOOD is easy but with concrete block NOT as much. Hurricanes, putting shutters on a two story is bad. Florida too much humidity, second floor has to be WOOD and that easily rots. SINKHOLES and the fact your building on SAND>. structural cracks. Cost of construction. Elderly population, second story dont do well with elderly people Florida is all old people. They can;t climb stairs. so a two story house, limits the marketability with elderly buyers who are most buyers in the state.

    • @chexhcatialo3889
      @chexhcatialo3889 4 года назад

      @@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS Plus, in order for the second floor to not be unbearably hot just about the only way is to have a separate AC unit for each floor. That gets expensive. Though the problems with 2 storey homes are easily fixable. Alot of the older houses are two storey, and they were built in eras when even fans didn't exist, let alone AC and the homes weren't insulated, thus it would have been boiling hot on both floors. Plus, it may be more expensive to do both floors in concrete, but it would be worth it. Though, I guess most people can't afford the extra cost of building both storeys with concrete. As for the elderly, it's best that everything be at ground level for them, but there's also many people who prefer to have more than one level.
