I had an appointment to tour there a couple of weeks ago but canceled it because we found a house in another community. But I was always curious about it and I appreciate you giving this information. OOF! Most new construction falls between $250-300K these days. Good to know that in Jan 2021 the avg home was $200K

Good evening. I took a trip there last week because I wanted to check out why home prices where so inexpensive in marion oaks. Well I found out why once I got there,lol. I could understand why someone would like it and I could understand why someone would hate MO. People need to see it for themselves.
Spot on, Lazaro - I always recommend that buyers see an are before committing to it to make sure it fits their lifestyle and goals. Did you happen to drive around anywhere else? Too bad I missed you, call next time you're in the area!
@@StevenBillington yes I spent 3 days driving around looking at different neighborhoods and I came to the conclusion that if I bought a house in ocala I would prefer to live inside the downtown perimeter. Established neighborhoods in ocala have a charm that I didn't find outside the city limits. But I highly recommend the safe easy simple life ocala has to offer, and it's absolutely beautiful driving threw ocala.

@@cesarmejias8927 it’s a convenient spot close to the interstate to get you to the city, yet more rural with more land and budget friendly. They have plans to build additional schools out that way soon too. Definitely depends on your exact needs, but a good option.
How are the schools here? I am looking at the elementary school but online it has poor reviews.....
Hi William, thanks for your comment. I like using greatschools.org. Marion County Public Schools also offers school choice if you’d like your child to go to a school outside of their zone, you just have to do an application. Hope that helps!

What do you mean by “playing at”? Ocalapd.com has a great crime mapping tool for anyone who wants to look at it. I recommend this tool to everyone!

Guess it depends on the type of neighbors you’re used to. Most people keep to themselves and interact when necessary or engaged with!
