This handheld is perfect for GBA games and playing video files! I still have my PowKiddy X16. Love the overall design and controls. I also love the jelly bean buttons. I currently have a 500GB micro sd in mine, planning to switch it out for a 1TB micro sd later. I plan on purchasing a 2nd one some time in the near future.
I was surprised how well that it played GBA games to be quite honest. I didn’t believe the x16 could handle anything higher than 32G! If you can get 1TB working that would be wild!
this looks almost identical to the DataFrog SF2000 in a different form factor. the firmware is identical and most of your complaints about the O/S are the same as on the DataFrog.
Sadly it doesn’t play mame (but does play final burn alpha with a .zip extension). Here is a list that will probably work. But most likely (if it’s supported) try .gg extension or maybe .bin
@@RetroZoltan ok but I have willow arcade game and aliens vs predator arcade on my powkiddy x16 but so far those are the only arcade games that I can get to work on it
I’m guessing I’m wrong then. With what you said it is perhaps only CPS1 (AvP) and CPS2 (willow) that work. I would try the list of games from those libraries instead of FBA (sorry!) CPS1 en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/CP_System CPS2 en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/CP_System_II
This looks honestly miserable to use and interact with and it's aesthetically depressing. Void of joy. Haven't actually used it but that's the impression I got lol.

Your not far off. People new to emulating handhelds love this thing, but to me it feels cheap as soon as you hold an Anbernic.
