A lot of videos assume such an advanced level of play they can be hard to follow for newcomers, you did a great job of laying everything out here in a clear, concise way. We need more folks like you making beginner guides. Great work!
Thank you so much! I really tried to explain this in a way that’s easy for newcomers. I’m glad you noticed!
I actually came here because I was getting wrecked by Manon. At least now I know what things to look out for! Thanks.
Learning what the character wants to do is the best way to learn counter play! Thank you so much for watching, I’ll have more soon!
@@Chris_F Thank you! I played a Manon today and was able to beat them after being made aware of some of the things in this video!
I've been returning for Fighting games after almost a decade, so I really appreciate videos like this to get me back into the mindset.
Glad you found this helpful! Thank you for watching
It's nice to see this channel getting more attention, your videos are very well done. Congrats Chris!
Thank you so much! It feels nice to see my channel grow!
It's like you showed up for me at the right time in my FGC journey. From the hitbox and now you are showing my two characters I wanted to learn in 6. Manon and Cammy
Are there any other things with those characters you’d like to see from me? Thanks for watching!
Absolute godlike guide
Thank you!
Omg all the tips are so vital and fundamental for newcomers learning for mastering Manon!
I really appreciated all the tips sir!
My pleasure! I’ll have more soon
thanks bro im a manon main and that standing heavy kick into quarter circle back medium or low and heavy is amazing
Glad you were able to learn something from my video! I’ll have more soon
Thank you very much for your video, i come back to street fighter after years of inactivity, your explanations are very noob friendly and I learned a lot !
Thank tiff so much for watching! It’s so great that this game is bringing back so many former players and new ones as well. Please let me know if there are any topics you’d like me to cover next!
Really glad to see content creators doing their thing out here, definitely did not know about that block/tech stuff after HP+HP, good stuff man
Thank you so much for the kind words! Please let me know if there is any other topics you’d like me to cover
THIS is what I was looking for, thank you so much
My pleasure, I hope it makes you a stronger Manon player!
Good tips! Only ones I didn't know was the delay grab to beat Dps and the level 1 confirm off of heavy kick but overall great video! Working these into muscle memory is the hardest part, but as a Manon player these are all pretty essential tips :)
Thank you so much for watching!
MAN, that was AWESOME!!! So clearly & succinctly explained! Real treat to watch & listen to. Thank you!!!
Thanks for watching!!
This was actually really helpful.
So glad you think so! Thanks for watching
Fantastic video, helped me out tremendously as Manon is the first grappler character I’ve ever played. You’re getting a sub from me
Glad I could help and thx for the sub!
I'm considering subbing her. Very concise guide, & good info. Thanks.
Awesome, thank you!
Chris, you are my hero, made a video from a character that I started to training, thanks Bro.🤜🏽🤛🏼
Thank you so much for watching! I’ll have more soon
i've been practicing with Manon and this was really helpful, thanks!
I’m so glad my video was able to help! Are there any other Manon videos you’d like to see from me?
@@Chris_F maybe frame traps, and her game plan in neutral. I find her harder to play against chars that have long reach normals or spam safe special moves like for example Honda, blanka or jp.
Great video and as some others have said good job explaining some of the fighting game terms that others just assume everyone knows!
Thank you! I tried my best to explain as simply and clearly I could for all the new players
@@Chris_F dude, I’ve been playing Street Fighter since about 1996 and this is actually the first time someone bothered to explain what a hit confirm is 😂
Thank u for this video man! I've just picked up street fighter 6 and I'm checking which character I should main😊
Glad it helped! Who are you thinking of playing?
@@Chris_F I cannot decide between Manon Chun Li and Juri😭
Mah-No, that's how you say it ☺
Great guide!
Thanks for watching and for the right pronunciation!
Great video for someone like me who is totally New to SF universe and mechanics 💖👏
So glad this helped! As a new player, what things are you finding difficult or hard to understand? I’m planning more content but I would love to hear from new players like you!
@@Chris_F my main game is TEKKEN and timing in SF6 is totally different and ofc the mechanic system is totally different 🤔 you can create some similar videos for every char for example Juri i wana play her too 🤩
I play Tekken quite seriously myself so I can relate. I’m going to make a video about how to practice sf6 but it might take me a week or two to finish. I hope the video helps you! Btw who do you play in Tekken?
@@Chris_F video kinda like how to convert to SF6 as Tekken day player would be awesome because counter Punish works kinda like punish system in Tekken 🤔
As far as future content, ways to structure pressure when most characters lack plusframes would be very helpful
Got it! Thanks for watching
@@Chris_F Of course! Came for the KOF content, hope SF6 gets more eyes on your older stuff as a result :)
Excellent video, thank you!
Thanks for watching!
This is awesome, very clear and concise. Thanks!
Thank you!
Great guide. Thanks!
So glad you liked it!
thank you for the succinct and clear tips
could i trouble you to add chapters? timestamps are great and i appreciate them but being able to skip between tips with shortcutes instead of scrolling down is always very nice
I will add chapters after work today. Thank you for watching!
Great info. it made me a better player!
Glad it helped! Thx for watching
I didn't know her qcf p had fireball invincibility. Thanks!
That’s why I make these guides! Thank you for watching, I’ll have more soon
Still tryna figure out how to even get the hang of classic controls but this is a good video ty
What is it about classic controls that you’re struggling with?
@@Chris_F mostly when to time my next move so i can go into a combo and remembering the button input for attacks so like if i need to hit a kick i might do a punch attack instead there's more but im kind of getting it
@@anzaigon Learning combos is like playing an instrument, the more you practice the better you'll get. Eventually it will become something you'll be doing it with almost no effort.
Definitely earned a sub with this one
Thank you SO much for the sub! I’m working on more content, but please let me know what kind of stuff you’d like to see from me in the future
I needed this
So glad you found this useful!
very useful thanks
Thank you for watching!
Solid vid! After grinding her up Plat, these are all things that are definitely super important to get really comfortable with. Thanks!
Thank you for watching!
Awesome video! This is my first ever fighting game and I’m struggling so this really helped a lot! What buttons do i press on the PlayStation to do the move at 4:02?
You want to press qcf+p~k.
In case you dont understand standard fighting game notation, you can think of it as down, down-forward, forward+punch then push kick quickly once Manon spins.
I'm so happy you started playing your first fighting game! What things are you struggling with right now? I am making more content for new players but I would love to hear what gives you a hard time.
Thank you so much for watching!
Hiya thank you for the reply! I think the most I'm struggling with is all the different terminology, for example I wasn't sure what qcf+p~k is! Sounds completely foreign to me! Its quite over whelming the amount of moves and button combinations needed to learn, and I often forget which button does what! Which means I just button mash most of the time! But I am extremely beginner and your videos on different characters are amazing because they highlight features I didn't even know existed! I haven't won a single game yet but I'm working on it 🤣
@@isobel8057 Im working on a video about the most important fighting game terms you should know, so please check that out. I'm aiming for a weekend release.
Also don't worry about your win/loss ratio. I was in the same place when I started and I eventually got top 8 at tournaments after practicing a lot. I know you can improve too! Just enjoy all the characters and game modes for now!
@@Chris_F will do, thank you for the tips they really help!
Muy buena guia! Me sirvio mucho
Thx for watching!
It's fun that even with the Hori fighting commander, 90% of all half/quarter circles are not registered. I swear I try to do it five times in a row but the move just doesn't come out. I suck at fighting games in general, but the struggle of getting just one special move out in SF6 is insane compared to other fighting games.
I just bought a hori octa. It’s my first time trying a pad in a fighting game, but I can do motion inputs with no issues.
I would try slowing down the motions and making sure you can do the inputs cleanly and accurately during your warmup practice sessions
A bit of a shame when I can enjoy other fighting games like MK1 and actually do longer combos that include multiple special moves and jump attacks. In SF6 I just struggled to get one move out, not to mention trying to learn the timings to link normals together, which feels super weird to me and actually has me on the brink of giving up on the game. Then there is the fact that I just don't have time spending hours and hours practicing one single move (work, huge backlog of other games for PS5, Xbox and Switch, other hobbies etc).
@gustavhjertman3551 then try modern mode
I actually tried it and it feels so off to me, so I went right back to classic. And now I tried the placement matches, and I got floored by noobs spamming the same moves over and over and over. So I guess I'll just give up on fighting games all together, because no matter how many hours I spend trying to learn something it's just as impossible as if I hadn't spent even one second with the game
Against jumping you can go straight into b-HP into hit grab
It depends on the angle of the jump and the jumping attack the opponent uses, sometimes b+HP will lose.
@@Chris_F sry meant after a vacuum target combo, ive been able to catch jumpers consistently with b-hp
Yea it works but using either light kick or light punch is MUCH more stable. b+HP will lose to people who jab after your target combo because it isn’t a true frametrap (b+hp is pretty slow at 8frames startup)
Great Work!
Thx for watching! I’ll have more KOF content this week too!
Great video thanks! Just subscribed
Thanks for subbing! Please let me know what other content you’d like to see from me
Great tips! Particularly, I need to use LK and MK tatsu in combos way more, the knockdown and corner carry are too good to ignore.
One thing I'm struggling, though, is countering fireballs from mid range using the strike grab. At this range it's not reactable and I just gotta go for the read beforehand, right? Or am I missing something?
from mid, if you use HP version, it has A LOT of invincible frames, so if you don't think you're close enough for the hit grab to connect, then just do the HK cancel, or hold down the Punch button to not do any follow up and just get closer.
I have another video in the works about dealing with fireballs from close range. It should be up within the next day or two so please check back again!
You left out her back medium kick target combo. It's good for meaties in the corner.
I left out a lot of things, there were more than 10 tips I wanted to include but I wanted to keep things short and simple. I’ll definitely add that to my next manon video
0:13 Does it HAVE to be QCF+MP? Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't QCF+LP faster?
LP is faster but MP does slightly more damage. From particular combo you have enough time to use the MP version for more damage.
Death by glamour ❤ Manon
Thanks for watching!
You can do videos about how to deal with opponents with crazy and random jumping styles?
I’ll try to record some online matches and show how to deal with this
This was good
Thx so much! I’ll have more out this week
EX QCF+P is invincible to standing attacks. But I'm still trying to figure out what the properties to EX Command Grab are.
Ex command grab has the furthest range and the startup speed of the MP version (8f)
@@Chris_F that's it? No invincibility frames or anything else?
From my testing that’s it but I could be wrong. I’ll check again when I get home from work
What antiair option best deals with crossups?
Jump back attack
If Im at +3 after the tc how come I get countered every time?
What button are you pushing after the target combo?
Do one for Ken
I am actually learning ken this week, hopefully I can have it I up by the weekend or early next week
It’s called heavy not hard. Don’t do the double heavy punch into menage dore, people jump right after. Anyone who is not new at SF Atleast. Instead do the double heavy into the rondpoint to catch them in the air and you can juggle or finish off with degage or the other option is into a light punch then menage dore. The light punch will stop them from jumping right after you suck them in
I explained every option after the HP target combo, including lights to stop jumps.
Good video but your pronunciation of 'Manon' is painful to listen to
Sorry for that
how come americans have a really hard time pronouncing this character's name?
I’m Italian-Canadian, not American.
@@Chris_F how come canadians have a hard time pronouncing this character’s name
Speak up
Really good tips, thank you.
My pleasure!
