@julienfroidevaux1143 statins block what the body needs to make cholesterol. In addition, getting additional cholesterol from animal fats is only beneficial. It's directly linked with reducing heart disease and neurological disorders. Hell, the blockage I had in my carotid cleared over the course of a year after I dropped the fruits and veggies. Cholesterol transports what you need around the body. It's a large part of why my arteries healed, thus reducing my blockage(which is scarring of the artery) to the point where it is free and clear in imaging. I recommend listening more to the doctor presenting these videos. There are far more benefits than what I've listed. He backs it up with sound information.

I'm not a doctor and certainly not a lipidologist, but after watching my mum spend years on Statins before going on to get type 3 Diabetes and developing Alzheimer’s, I decided to look into lipidology. I discovered that Statins can break through the blood brain barrier and disrupt insulin utilization in the brain. I didn't realise that the brain makes its own cholesterol and has more cholesterol than what our body organs make. To disrupt this process with a medication to reduce what the brain needs, seems nonsensical

@@marathonintech7243 #1 thing is ground beef. Ground beef is probably the most nutritious, filling thing you can eat as a carnivore. Put a little beef tallow in the pan with it, a bit of salt and it tastes amazing.
I usually try to have my first mean be about a pound of ground beef. Then around dinner I might do a steak or if I want to mix it up some chicken. I do occasionally do bacon and eggs too. And I just recently learned how to make roast beef in the crock pot, that was amazing.
I might throw a little cheese in there too as a snack.
I am not sure if it has to do with your body getting fat adapted or if it just takes a few weeks for your taste buds to adjust but lately meat, especially beef, has been tasting phenomenal. Way better then any carb based meal ever did.

It would be great if Dr Anthony came up with a healthy diet sheet. As a 64-year-old, I have an average resting pulse of 55, an average blood pressure of 116/72 and I feel fit and healthy, which is helped by swimming 3 times a week and gym twice a week. On my latest blood test, my Cholesterol level (UK - NHS measurement) was 6.3 (Should be 4.5 - 5.0) and I was told by my doctor that that was a high level and I should try Statins.
Listening to this RUclips video slightly shocked me as I believed, like many, that my diet wasn't great. Luckily, I have an aversion to using drugs for anything, and I refused my doctor's suggestion and asked about natural ways to lower it. Can you guess what he told me? Yes, eat all the healthy things like high-protein and vitamin-rich foodstuffs and completely cut out carbs, fats etc... He never mentioned sugar or glucose, fructose!
I'm so glad I saw this and now have a better understanding of what I actually should eat.
Would still like to see Dr Anthony's diet suggestion though.

Maybe this one will really glean something from me that will save other patients. 🤞We shall see how the follow up to my testing goes... especially after he finds out I have an "unremarkable" Calcification score (it's 0% "at my age" ... since when do 40s make you OLD? ohhh since the government moved goal posts to force us to eat duck food & get fat, sick, and die early.) Dr Chaffee - what if a Lipoprotein(a) test results a high score? I had that test and my score was very high. I tried Carnivore for 2 months and all my cholesterol numbers went up; which I knew they would. I've never had a Lipoprotein(a) test done before, so I don't know if it was high before carnivore. For many years I ate the Standard American Diet, along with all the snacks and treats. My PCP never ran that test. I switched to a whole foods plant-based in 2017 (for 7 years) to try and address some autoimmune issues. Then this year, for Feb and March, I tried carnivore. Frustrated that my PCP was not addressing my autoimmune issues, I sought out a holistic physician. She was the one that ran a BOKU amount of tests, including the Lipoprotein(a) test. I will be seeing her in two weeks to go over my results. Just wondered what your thoughts were about a high Lipoprotein(a) score.

Something happened in the last week with my disabled veteran husband who has been on mostly carnivore for at least a year and prior to that, ketovore. He has has high BP for over 30 years (spent monkeying with meds combinations that never worked), degenerative disc disease, bad kidney readings 1.9 (his mom was on dialysis for years b4 she died), AFIB, etc. His recent labs were concerning and confusing to me. Total cholesterol 180, but trigs 228, HDL 39 and LDL only 95. What on earth is happening? I've been eating the same for years and my numbers are great. Total 230-ish, Trigs 55, HDL 60 and LDL about 187. I'm very concerned about him! He had not lost much weight, then got Covid and pneumonia and they tested those in the middle of his illness-he lost 25 lb in two weeks not eating while ill. Was the test skewed? Why are his results opposite to mine? He's 71 and I'm 67 and only have hypothyroidism to contend with myself. Thanks for whatever light you can shed on this. ~Cynthia

    • @sportysbusiness

If the tests were done whilst he was seriously ill they will be completely skewed. get them done again and then you'll know. We know LDL goes up when transporting fat and down when not transporting fat (eating carbs for 3 weeks will dramatically drop LDL) so his low LDL may be explainable if he hadn't eaten for weeks.

I started eating carnivore 3 weeks ago. Everything was fine until, one day I decided eating baked pork... I felt soo bad, my anxiety was bad. I can eat eggs, but not fried as it gives me acid... but I can it porch... you have to experiment as decide on your own what work best for you. All the best . 👍
