Time forgot The Birdcage? 😂 you sure? I thought it was a fairly well established classic, just like the original 1978 French version La Cage aux Folles. Plus it was Lane's breakout role, and Hank Azaria's (Agador) breakout live action role... previously known for Simpsons where he voices like 30% of the characters. If it has a "Low budget feel" it's because it's based on a stage play.. which also explains why there isnt a score.. it's more about the dialogue, not the background music.
Thanks for this reverent shout-out to my favorite "feel good" movie. This fun romp has a lot of heart. It's refreshing to see someone young review this classic. Nice job Connor!

The Birdcage came out before I existed lol, I also grew up in a conservative area, so neither myself or any of my friends had heard of this film/ the play it's based on. The title was meant to rope in people like me who aren't as exposed and let them know the great cinema that's out there 😅
