My plan is while Im in school, use the becker 2025 and do 1 module a week. Once I graduate I will just get that year's book and restudy again. Oh and learn as much as I can in AR so I am incredibly knowledgeable in my position. Good study habits helped me pass my Korean Language proficiency exams in the military. Imagine learning a foreign language and culture in 64 weeks and be expected to take 6hrs and 45 minutes worth of exam time, at a high- intermediate level. I passed but it was hell haha.

    Hi, just a quick question. I learned some basic accounting in college, but not much compared to an accounting student. I’m planning to take the CPA exam in the next two years. Should I start Becker immediately or find more basic accounting books/ courses to advance my knowledge first? I don't know whether Becker is more advanced for me or if I can start from Becker. I am stuck about this since Becker is such a significant investment. I really appreciate your response!

    • @karis1128
      @karis1128 6 месяцев назад +2

      Hi! Currently studying for the CPA using the Becker free trial and with Becker it’s information overload. They intentionally overload you with information so that’s it’s easier than the CPA. I definitely recommend to try the free trial and get a feel but it’s definitely gonna feel overwhelming at first lol. Just need lots of practice!

    • @JoeyCPA
      @JoeyCPA  5 месяцев назад +2

      @@karis1128 Yup, I 100% agree with this. Becker would be a good resource but I understand it is a large investment. If you're interested, I created a CPA review supplement which has great content and is far more affordable than Becker. You can check it out at smartercpasreviews.com.

    • @JoeyCPA
      @JoeyCPA  4 месяца назад

      Hey, I would say that you shouldn't necessarily put a time frame of 2 hours per chapter bc some will be faster and some might be slower. I would just say maybe spend 2 hours moving forward in the course every day and then 30 mins -1 hr reviewing previous material each day.
      I don't think your plan is bad but that's the change i would make. Also, I created a study plan that consists of 2.5 hours of study per day, 1 rest day per week, and will get you through the review course in less than 2 months (For FAR with Becker).
