I came back to ice skating after a very long break so my shoes were very old. First, I was like a beginner but I progressed very fast. I have had to wait about four months to be able to jump again. I broken my shoe and the two malleolus of my foot. 🙊 I'm very very sad because at 67 it's better I définitively stop for ever 😢 So take care.
I always wondered if real life skaters know about the Pretty Rhythm anime series... i know it's a bit childish but it's basically idol anime for ice skaters, it was my childhood!

Hi! These things happen and they can be super frustrating. I lost mine for a bit last summer and it was definitely bring me down. I have since learned to break every single part of the process down as a way to find where I'm going wrong. Start with focusing on the beginning and work your way through the whole jump to find what isn't working like it did before. I tend to rush my takeoff so whenever things get funky I put all of my attention on hitting the toe pick and that usually fixes it. Hopefully that helps!

The laces on my left skate once broke in the middle of a competition and my skate fell off and I was disqualified

I always recommend going straight to the brand if you are buying skates. Jackson, edea, riedell, risport, and sp terri are great for figure skating!
