Will polyglide ice dull my blades?
There is 10%-15% more friction than natural ice. This will make your blades dull a little bit faster than if you were skating on real ice but will not damage your blades.
Does synthetic ice require alot of maintenance?
No. Clean the surface of your ice with a damp mop and you can use a furniture polish to further lubricate the surface (though polishing is not needed).
Can I do the same maneuvers on synthetic ice as I can on real ice?
Yes! Though it may not feel exactly the same, you can still do the same spins, jumps, and footwork that you would do on natural ice.

this looks great! I cannot find any order information on here to order from you though. i am interested in 72" x 96" Home Ice panels. Since they contain four 24x48" panels to a package I either need to order another full four or just do my best with 48" of width for the surface. Not bad, I am LTS 3 and really need to work on some things - 2 more panels would help sooo much. Nice that you have a garage and won a set of synthetic panels. You skate beautfully!

What were you spraying on it
I clean it with a tile cleaner. Afterwards I spray it down with Pledge furniture polish. :)

Can you do toe jumps on these?
Nope.
Considering moving to Florida and there are no ice rinks. This seems like a good option. 10k would probably make a pretty good one.

It's a great alternative to real ice if you don't live close to a rink. I live in Arizona and the closest ice rink to me is over 3 hours away so I LOVE having this!
@@theedragonwoman ice time whether free styles or open skates is getting expensive. Since I take adult learn to skate classes with one private a week, Iwill have MY OWN little rink and can save for more lessons because I really need them. :)

I think it is pretty amazing! The closest ice rink to me is over 3 hours away so I love it so much!
I placed it in my garage and didn't put anything under the tiles- it's just concrete. :)
@hayleysimon1456 I am putting mine in a work room area in the apt I live in and it has a very short pile carpet on slab. I will look into some type of underlayment - plywood? to place under the panels.
