    Thanks for your review, I also use this PC and happy about it, except for temperature, we are in winter no big deal, to avoid surprises in summary I bought this Aluminum Large Heatsink 4.72'' x 2.72'' x 1.06'' inch, match’s perfect and easy to attach, still testing but seems helps because when I finished my session the heatsink is hot, meaning took out from PC enclosure. Thanks for your review.

      I am glad you liked the review. Its a great idea to attach a heatsink to it! Well done.

    I have been running two MeLE Quieter 3Q with Windows 11, N.I.N.A, Pixinsight, Phd2, ASCOM and other programs for 2 months without any problems

      That's excellent John. I am glad it has been working for you. Unfortunately, it was giving me trouble so I downgraded to Windows 10.

  • @Oamaruastro

    Thanks; I just got my miniPC (the Quieter2) set up with Win11 and I have not had too many issues. But I'd love to see how to downgrade back to Win10 (and learn what the advantages you see in doing that are).

    • @AstroOnBudget
      @AstroOnBudget  Год назад

      Hey James, Quieter2 is a excellent! If windows 11 is working well for you then no need to downgrade. I found it to be unstable. NINA kept doing erratic stuff, Astap wouldn't plate solve properly etc. Thats why I decided to downgrade it and now everything works flawlessly.

    • @Oamaruastro
      @Oamaruastro Год назад +1

      @@AstroOnBudget Hmm, since I’m new to NINA and all those Windows apps, having moved over from ASIAIR, I don’t know what’s just a quirk of these new (to me) programmes and what’s a quirk of Win11.

    • @AstroOnBudget
      @AstroOnBudget  Год назад

      @@Oamaruastro yeah fair enough. It takes time to get familiar with it. Why did you move from ASIAIR?

    • @Oamaruastro
      @Oamaruastro Год назад +1

      @@AstroOnBudget Because I have a dome (slowly) making its way to me, and the ASIAIR won't control it, so I figured I should become familiar with NINA and the like.

    • @AstroOnBudget
      @AstroOnBudget  Год назад

      @@Oamaruastro Makes sense. I think ASIAIR is a great tool but one of its great weakness is that its limited and bound to ZWO system.

    Buen video!! estoy tratando de levantar el mismo sistema, un mini pc, para el mismo cometido. Mi problema es el acceso remoto, ya que el acceso remoto me obliga a que el mini pc este en una red local. Sin embargo esto no es posible en el campo o la montaña. No encuentro la forma de conseguir que sea autónomo. Además si reinicio el ordenador me obliga a conectar una pantalla para activar el acceso remoto. Es una pescadilla que se muerde la cola. No puedo salir del bucle.

      Hi Suklesh,
      You can power the PC via 12v cable. You could use a portable battery.

    Anyone know if this will work in rural locations where one does not have Internet access. I am concerned because my initfinding indicates that the Quieter3C does not support Hosted Network. So, if I want to use Remote Desktop on my phone or another computer to access the Quieter3C I can do so just fine at home. But what if I am on, say, a mountain away from civilization, I might have to run an Ethernet cable to use Remote Desktop. Not a fatal problem, but I am wondering if I am misunderstanding something.

    5:38 what's the process to downgrade to windows 10 ?
    6:20 it's extremely hot, barely touchable.. and i litteraly was just installing softwares, not even doing live captures.. any tip or suggestion on that ? I am thinking of returning it because of that; I would certainly not put it against any optic or plastic material

    • @AstroOnBudget
      @AstroOnBudget  Год назад +1

      Yeah for me doesn't make any difference if you use connect it directly to power supply or connect it to USB port. Either way it needs 5v 1.5A which can be easily drawn from most PC's USB ports.
