I contemplated what I needex at the moment, like I said I wasn't thinking rationally. But I decided on this video in the end. And this video describes the words I could not find for myself. This the very reason Andy is My favorite Artist! Love his authenticity on very Album! Most believers are afraid to be real about there life. But understand being open and honest about yourself to God and other gives me this humbleness and freedom I can't explain...and at the sametime making me bold to proclaim God's truth. I refuse to spend the rest of my life wearing a mask! Glory to the most High ☝!
The TOUGHEST thing is to finally understand that what James said in 1:2-4
"2) Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3) because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4) Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."
That when we have the opposition in our walk that we remember to continue to FIGHT for our SOUL' s SALVATION...continually. I face these same things. And there are situations/struggles that I HAVE overcame...but we talk about it in the past tense because that is part of the OLD SKIN we shed as we die or rather TRY to die (flesh/world influences/old mindsets that hinder our walk and faith) in Christ.
God is there to walk with us on ANY and all roads we choose to take. Whether it's choosing to do right...or conscientiously choosing to do wrong. He is there. Psalms 139:1-12 (NIV) is such a good description of the DEPTHS of how God loves us. (7-Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? 8- IF I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in depths, you are there.....11-IF I say "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light becomes night around me," 12-even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.")
Even Romans 14:7-9: For none of us lives to himself alone, and none of us dies to himself alone. If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. For this reason Christ died and returned to life, so that He might be the Lord of both the dead and the living..."
AND I say all of THAT to say this...KEEP fighting. You are not a fraud. (THIS IS FOR ANYONE)...your life and LIGHT that you have that Christ imparted into you, is not gone because of your mistakes or your own ideals or ANYTHING you may have done. The son of God came to seek those who were lost. (Luke 19:10) And even if you are lost in your OWN mind( like me) Christ is there to help you muddle through and remove the confusion that may sit in your mind, that can lead to a disruption of peace and a doubt in who God is to you. But, this only happens if you let Him. There is nothing belittling or wrong with rededicating your life and renewing purposes and goals. Andy did just that, and most people, especially in his situation or platform, would not be bold enough to open up and be transparent about it. We can all take a lesson. It's never too late to start over and get a FRESH and STURDY foundation in Christ! Sorry for this being so long. But it was on my heart. And if this may touch someone to search yourself...to God be the glory...

We all go through things, as believers our biggest struggle sometimes is keeping GOD as our muse, that he inspired us then and will again because its his mission we serve. We find value in that service, we find royalty status in how great we are because he is so great and mighty and we are his image bearers.

so inspiring! I'm also an artist, a painter, and go through so much doubt, anxiety, panic attacks as I stare at the blank canvas. I would look at other people's work and think, "They're so much better, why bother?" But I kept trying and found myself procrastinating a lot to avoid art. I would feel shame and guilt. Praying and asking God for help and reading His Word and Truth helped me. I still struggle. Every day is a battle. But I know it's all in the mind. I feel like I'm in front of this big giant that just laughs and mocks me. But David succeeded because he didn't look at himself, he didn't compare himself, He came in God's name. And so he won. God fights for us. Thank you Andy for being so raw and honest. We live in a work full of people showing their lives on social media like highlight reel like you said. Thank you.

Man it’s a breath of fresh air to hear someone speak your own thoughts, specifically about doubt and God, not gonna lie felt like I was in quick sand for sometime an I don’t feel like I’m entirely out of it, but for a Christian it’s hard to admit you have doubts especially for me cause I have family that looks up to me and I never wanna lead anyone astray. Especially when you conceptualize things differently it’s like I don’t have anyone to talk to, cause I don’t think anyone close to me will even understand or if they did wouldn’t have any answer , I just keep telling myself proverbs: 5-6 , I struggle with 6 mostly, hoping grace will pull me through.
I'm having that same exact struggle right here bro! I feel like, when we grow up in the Church, we often get taught this generic gospel in a super kid-friendly way, and it was never real to me. When I started trying to take my faith seriously, I ran into a huge wall, because I felt like everything my faith was based off of was fake. So I started from scratch, just like what you said you're doing. I searched for answers for years and often spent long nights staying up doing nothing but worry. But I'm glad that I went through those hard times, because now, even though it's not as easy for me to have faith, I'm glad that the faith I do have is real. It's MY faith, and I'm really glad I'm not the only one out there going through this.
Got the EP today, Andy it's amazing. Thanks for sharing your heart with us. As believers, there will be times when we are in the valley, but with the Love of God, family and good friend we can overcome. It's an ongoing possess.

Aye yo Andy, this is dope. I, legit, have been going through the same exact thought process about why people don't open up in the valley. So, I started writing my poetry again after a three year hiatus, and I watched as people who cared about me feel scared for me, or give up on me, thinking I was going to off myself, but I'm just laughing, like "Wait, y'all ain't never gone through nothing?" I experienced this doubt and I realized that I was in a season of waiting on God. All I had to do was seek him even if I didn’t feel him and serve him and to do the last thing he asked me to do! And believe it he came to me like a rushing wind in my spirit! I felt him taking caring of me and I knew he had my back all along. These are just experiences we go through to really know who is in control. Some seasons might be longer than others. He’s in control.

I wanted to chime in. Not because I have the answers to fix your trials. But to testify of the similar trials I endured.
Back 2010 I experienced what you’d call a revival. Prior to that I was a lost believer. Two boys with autism, no career, troubled marriage, depression, secret and public struggles with sin, and it got bad for me.
I had a King Hezekiah experience. God told me to get my house in order. I thought it was the end for me. But God stepped in.
I was humbled and repented. But not before doubts and a lost of faith had already taken over.
In 2010, God changed everything for me.
He had me confront one reality. Either the Christian faith isn’t what I thought it was. Or my faith wasn’t what I claimed it to be.
My journey. God told me to let go of everything I learned and start from scratch.
I’ve studied less than 30 books of the Bible over eight years now. Real slow to understand the truth of our faith. Learn from God the way Paul did. But more important get to know God personally.
To experience the things I read about are now more personal than just words about someone else’s God experience from the Bible.
So I’m not trying to be your savior but to testify about the radical change God has blessed me with. I can say now I really am free. Before it was just words!

I felt that in my soul. I can relate so much. I've felt like an imposter. I've been given career opportunities before I felt I was ready. I started to doubt my knowledge, ability. I've been chasing credentials to validate that doubt.

Loved that truth about people talking/not talking about their struggles and doubts when they are going through them, I've felt the same way for so long. But its true, you feel so weak and like a failure when you 're going through those times, and you feel like you should have these problems solved, but its encouraging to know that we don't struggle alone,

You gon make me cry man coz this is exactly where I am right now. Been doing music ministry for at least 8 years now but I have never felt this way before. I am by myself so many times and I just burst into tears man. I've been married 5 years this coming August but I do have those doubts and just this pain man. There are so many expectations from people, such that I'm almost not allowed to be vulnerable. It's really tiring man, But i escape through writing but even that is met with vicious comments from people in my camp. But yeah its so true, how come we never speak about the moment of pain, we just wanna jump to how you got out of it. Well I'm going through it and I will see through it. This is encouraging man.
