barrens blacksmith was actually sometimes used in barrens tempo rogue! it basically fulfilled all the conditions of having a ton of stuff on board after field contact turns, self pings from augmerchants, and mana from octobot. i remember multiple lists with it actually hitting rank 1 legend

Can confirm, barrens blacksmith saw quite a lot of play and it would usually clap your ass if you had no AOE or a spell to kill it without triggering the frenzy. That is if your opponent didn't ping it himself immediately

It was also played a bit recently with enrage warrior (previous expansion), because well because +2/+2 is quite good at 5 mana (cause the location gave warrior to ping it instantly)
Starting with Cannonmaster was a great choice! When I first saw it I knew it would suck but couldn’t put my finger on why until now.
I was 100% sure it was gonna break the meta
i thought smythe was gonna be so good when i saw him but it was just a 5 mana "destroy your secrets and do nothing" card. RIP all that dust

remote control golem is one of my fav cards. did you know the tokens it summons are the same as harvest golem's deathrattle.

Watching this now, after opening all my Titans packs, makes me really sad there'll be no Lion's Frenzy in standard...
I use Flag Runner constantly. It helped me get to Diamond. Heck, even that statue from darkmoon faire is in the deck.

It's interesting Coldarra Drake has a 0% play rate when there's an OTK you can do with it that I saw happen to me once.
1) Play the new Reno hero.
2) Wait till the power flips to "Deal 2 damage. Refresh 2 mana crystals"
3) Coldarra Drake = infinite hero powers
Edit: I HATE the Reno Hero and wish it was never added. I hate it with a burning fury and hate the designer of the card. When I got it in a pack I disenchanted it immediately even though it's good. Fuck Reno. But I do wish I kept it for this combo

That card is played in .1% of decks and I kinda wanted to change the cutoff to 0.1% just so I could talk about how hard it fell off

Gotta make sure my gnome-private is a 3/3 after it kills my opponent
Personally have a pretty spectacular game with the Muck plumber. Was at 11-0 in arena and I evolved a crud caretaker using blazing transmutation and picked it, and then after my opponent spent 6 mana on a 4 drop I coined pack the house (not a broken card at all :)) and got one more, completely locking my opponent out. Easiest 12-0 of my life

Ive used flag runner in DH duels with the illidari rush hero power to pretty decent effect. Actually have won games because the opponent coundnt kill it and it would scale similar to glugg the gulper

The comment on 3/3s not being great because of how many ways there are to deal with them is too real. I've been running a thief rogue with Double Agent ever since the card came out and lemme tell you, nothing's worse then playing that card into a Tooth of Nefarian, Serrated Bone Spike, Fire Sale, ect. 3-health minions have it rough.

I like your style and presentation a lot.
However, i want to recommend three things:
-Get some sort of like, brief intermission between the bullet points you talk about in a list essay like this. No matter if it's a little set card, a sound effect, or even just saying a really simple 'Next up is a'. Anything that doesn't make me question for 15 seconds what sheldras has to do with the problems around lions frenzy, just to mention an example.
-Do something about your recording quality. Doesn't have to be a massive super expensive microphone setup or anything. Just maybe switch rooms in which you record could help already. If you have a closet you can sit in, record there. The less reverb, the better, even with only passable microphones.
-Last one is a bit of a personal issue but: Please modulate your voice more. You should rather sound like you are talking to me, and not like you are reading your english essay in front of the class so you'll at least get a B-. And to make that happen in a monoluguing video like that, you need to overact a bit at least. It's why you see so so so many content creators that overact like they are a Star Trek extra, while by comparsion sparsely any of them constantly underact. Because while the former is tolerable if you can't hit that sweet middle spot, the latter just doesn't work well for the format.
It just compounds the audio issues even more, is a bit exhausting to keep focus with and it makes your acutally well timed and more subtle humor fall entirely flat in execution because nothing in your voice indicates it.
Just my two cents of constructive critiscism because by now, i consider myself something of an expert listening to people recording their thoughts on various subjects for hours on end :D
Thanks for this! This is a really informative critique for me. I am pretty new to the whole content creation stuff so there is a lot of stuff here that didn’t occur to me like transitioning between bullet points. The voice modulation might be difficult for me to change but I can work on it - I’ve definitely received the comment that I am monotone several times before
@@mrchundo With the modulation, a little goes a long way. For whatever reason, we just tend to shift to a more monotone 'lets get this over with' intonation when we recite or read things out loud, but it only takes a little bit of getting over yourself to fix that.
I found listening to play backs of me reading out various different things helped a lot. Maybe compare those to people __you__ actually like listening to and just see where the discrepancies might be, idk :D

While I like your video, i have an issue with those HS Replay stats. There is no way 0% of people have played Dead Man's Hand, or Deathlord. These are still popular in wild. Most likely the site doesn't record every game properly.
Sorry, I should have been more clear with the footage. Those stats are for Standard in the last 14 days. When you go to “Sparse Data” it begins listing every Wild card in the game in alphabetical order in addition to Standard cards played at 0%
I have never even heard of suckerhook or cannon master smythe and i have played this game since 2015. No recollection of barren blacksmith or flag runner either. And bogbeast has to be one of the worst cards in the game.
