@@mauriceclemens3286 yes, you're right but this beauty puts me really on. The E30 is some kind a wolf into a lamb skin but E24 looks fast even it stays. It's simply insane 🥴
My father has had an '83 633 CSi for probably over 30 years now! Most of the gauges including the odometer don't work, but it has to have over 350,000 miles on it. It takes a bit of work to keep it together these days, but if I ever win the lottery the first thing I'm going to do is restore that car for dad!
Great video! I am very happy to own an e24. Worth mentioning, that version of the touring car used the 12v m30, but it cut to a shot of the 24v m88 whilst they were talking about it.
The episode is so cool, the fact that you went out and drove the car out is a big plus, it really brings something. I love the shots while driving from outside, you can appreciate the car even more. Too bad you didn't talk about the very special and expensive TRX tires of this car. We can really feel an improvement over the videos, continue like this!
How about an “is” episode? E28 535is, E36 325is, E53 4..8is, etc. Great vids. More engine and exhaust sounds please? A wider shot of the Recaro seats would have been nice.
In the 80's and 90's the is designation was mostly for US market cars, with 2 exceptions in Europe being 318is (E30 and E36) and the italian market only 320is E30.
This is by FAR your best channel and I can see the quality increasing. I LOVE having the access to these cars. Please throw all the interesting details at me you can during future ones. What happens when an out-of-production part breaks on one of the museum cars? Does each family of cars or generation have a specialized mechanic for just them or is there a central curator of sorts? Really like the channel and thank you.
The best looking road car ever to be produced. Yes, I am aware of italian cars in general, of the E-Type and other very beautiful cars: but the E24 is absolutely perfectly imperfect.
Imagine if bmw made a commitment to make a couple like this again...Imagine if a new 6 series was earnestly designed to resemble this car....it could be a sensation!
Definitely one of my favourite BMWs. I just love the shape. In M guise pretty quick too, I imagine. Gorgeous. Thanks for another great video guys👍 P.S. when is it my turn to drive?! 😁
WOW....got some goosebumps watching the video. It is the coolest car ever built in my opinion! I think it was one of the fastest cars in Germany back then so drivers had to obtain special approval from police that if they were asked to pull over they will comply! Our friends from Germany may confirm if the story is right 😉
Marc and Christoph, you guys have the best jobs in the automotive world! Thanks for all of the informative and fun videos. I’ve learned a lot about my favorite cars. Problem is after each video I find myself wanting to make a new car purchase...thanks! One question....can I drive now?!
PLEASEEE do a video on the 1998 BMW 320D STW Touring Car, Have only ever seen one in pictures and it was so ahead of its time. My personal favourite :)
Had 3 of these back in the days. A good one would do 270 kph+ but downsides were high fuel consumption, not much torque at low rews and the notoriously weak and sticky 2nd gear synchro on the Getrag 280/5. The early M88/3 also had a single row timing chain, known to stretch. The later S38B35 had a duplex chain.
What is the aerodynamics of this car? That "shark nose", does it help, or make it worse for the aerodynamics? Seems that shark nose would push the air under the car.
LOL....🤣🤣🤣..."Can I drive now..??....NO"...The E24 is together with the E39 the most beautiful BMW of all times...No wonder he keeps yelling NO...I would too...😉😉
I owned an 88 M6. The only thing I didn't like about the car was the adjusting of the shims(24 of them) on the engine. This had to be done every 10k to 12k miles by a BMW master tech.
I think you didn't show all the body lines of this car as you should. How about the sexy design of the rear end? Please always show the car from all possible angles. Thanks.
I don't understand why BMW has the cars in a perfect shape and doesn't give parts like the chrome-molding on the rain-trim to the luky owners-world of bmw E24s...
@0:52 Christoph: "from the LATE seventies until ...ummm... INTO the eighties"!!!!! For god's sake, you're on a fuckin' official BMW channel talking about one of THE most iconic BMW coupes ever made, and you're supposed to be an expert knowing what you're talking about, and that's what you could come up with???? If you just took a few secs to dig it up on google you would've known that it came out in 1976 and lasted until 1989 when the 8 series was introduced (though not a direct replacement). Is that so fuckin' hard?? Of course I already know this fact without even looking it up, noting that when this car was produced I was a kid in the eighties. But being a BMW fan, this is common knowledge to me and to many. However, the difference between you and me is that I don't get the chance to go on RUclips talking BS, and making money out of it on top!
One of the best BMW's from all history together with E31, when the engineers had the last word and not the accountants. Just high art engineering.
Don’t forget the E30 M-3!
@@mauriceclemens3286 yes, you're right but this beauty puts me really on. The E30 is some kind a wolf into a lamb skin but E24 looks fast even it stays.
It's simply insane 🥴
No engine sound? How did you miss that while driving the car?
“…that’s cool… can I drive now?” 😂 You guys are great together. Humour and nerdisms combined with sweet video of sweet classics. Love this channel!

I'm so lucky and glad to have a regular 'ol 635CSi (Euro) it's a marvel to look at and drive :) Been chasing and M635 for too many years now!
I have a 1988 635 CSi here in Oz.Love it, love it, love it!
One of the most beautiful model BMW has ever made
This is one of the greatest coupe deigns ever made - what a timeless classic
I love this show! Hello from New Zealand
Great video! I am very happy to own an e24. Worth mentioning, that version of the touring car used the 12v m30, but it cut to a shot of the 24v m88 whilst they were talking about it.
I'll be cool you guys can make a video of Paul Rosche who has a great importance in BMW Mpower history
The episode is so cool, the fact that you went out and drove the car out is a big plus, it really brings something.

My favourite BMW-duo🙌🏼🎉
Just found you guys and I’m hooked. These videos need to be longer!
How about an “is” episode? E28 535is, E36 325is, E53 4..8is, etc. Great vids. More engine and exhaust sounds please? A wider shot of the Recaro seats would have been nice.
and the E36 318is coupe, the E90 320is and the N54 monster aka E92 335is coupe

Would love to see one of first M5 E39. Keep up with good content guys

Mythic 6 series! A dream car and still magnificent today!
The last of the GREAT looking BMWs!
They were something different, aggresive and elegant at the same time, high quality, less problematic and fast!!!
The Most Beautiful BMW ever made, I saw one back 89, just clicked, hope to have the money some day and get one
Just saw this same car when I was in Germany. Same color. What a beautiful shape. Thanks for another episode.
love these videos, and the German humour!
wow amazing! guys please make the drive longer next time! is very nice to watch ! :)
Best episode yet!
Hätte gerne den Motor etwas besser gehört. Trotzdem gutes Video wie immer!

Dream car(s). Thanks for sharing guys!
What a great car! 🤩
My first car was an E24, bought it when I was 17 years old. Loved it! Sadly it got stolen some years later..
Definitely one of my favourite BMWs. I just love the shape. In M guise pretty quick too, I imagine. Gorgeous. Thanks for another great video guys👍 P.S. when is it my turn to drive?! 😁
I once had an encounter with a US-Spec M6 in Haifa, Israel - such a lovely machine. I still hope for getting one in my garage one day.
Ooh my dream car ….. and the regular 635csi, I still dream of!
The car is a dream! Thank you.
Same colour as mine, same year as mine, italian as mine. Mine was also at BMW Classic few years ago
Fantastic, best looking Bmw. 😀👍🏻
Hi. Is the leather the original that came with the car….or has it been recently restored? Thx
What a beautiful car

Love these video’s especially the 80s cars. Could you do a video on the m535i both e28 and e12?
Maybe a an e28 m5 also?
Someday an e60 M5 V10 too.
Please do an episode about the E39 M5!
This 635csi is my favourite BMW by far
This has always been one of my dream cars. Hard to afford
My dream car right here
This is the place to be..... Deutschland... The best cars , the best sausages, the best beer😊😊😊!!!

Beautiful car!

What a great place ❤

The most beautiful car in the world
So during the explanation of the racing 6 you show the standard engine of the road car. Why?
When will BMW start making classic designs like this again?
One time in my life I owned a 1990 e32 with a factory 5 speed box installed
My life was infinitely better then
M88-DER Motor 😍
Is it true that initially it used the E12 platform and eventually switched to the E28 platform ?
real legend
Please, please do an episode on the Dakar yellow E36 M3.
Beautifull 😊
Where do i find that sweater with the m stripes?
The most beautiful BMW ever made ❤️💓💕💓💕💕❤️💕💕💓hey M635CSI will you be mine 💕💓❤️💓💕💓

3:40 does the white car have a M30 engine inside?
When only the best 😘😘😘 will do ☺️!
I wasn't expecting an Italian version to be on display
Gibt es diese tolle Strickjacke zu kaufen?
this e24 is the sexiest bmw ever!
Once i buy an E24 itll be my first coupe ever
You guys are so German haha. Enjoyed the video!
sexiest coupe ever, it will remain my number dream car
oh yessss, yesss, yess
See this is the sort of design language inspiration they could of used for their new ones.
must have one now, maybe m30 turbo ?
Would love to see the History of the E46 320ci.
Great channel 👍
320? Why the 320?
Why not the 330ci zhp. That's a tier model of the 3 series right before the e46 m3.
Why BMW dont have spare parts for e24?
i really want to know more about the 1991 BMW 425i prototype
fantastisch
What a great car, such a classic. I would love to have a S38B35 to replace the M30B35 in my E32! :D
Love a good bima
What is the aerodynamics of this car? That "shark nose", does it help, or make it worse for the aerodynamics? Seems that shark nose would push the air under the car.
Let Christoph drive the bloody thing!!!!!
we love everything BMW mostly e24
"have to" or "get to" drive the ///M 635 CSi? Get to. Great car.
My one is white with buffalo leather (only 500 odd made in RHD) A yuppies wet dream :)
Hey Marc? Can I drive it soon?
Ha ha
LOL....🤣🤣🤣..."Can I drive now..??....NO"...The E24 is together with the E39 the most beautiful BMW of all times...No wonder he keeps yelling NO...I would too...😉😉

E24❤❤❤🎉
🤣 Germans with a sense of humor!
👍 Great job 👏
7:32 🤣 банка
I know exactly where those shots were taken because I live just there 😂
I think you didn't show all the body lines of this car as you should. How about the sexy design of the rear end? Please always show the car from all possible angles. Thanks.
...und nicht mal ein Foto vom phantastischen Motor :(
can i drive now ?

It was a modern 3.0.
