    Maybe you should do some dedicated tutorials with your brother as he is more of a beginner and you kinda do it already as part of your vlogs. Tutorials will probably bring also many new people to your awesome channel, because they search for such things so it can grow even bigger. Im here since day one of the Vlogs and i love them more and more as youre getting better and better with making videos. Much love from Germany.

    it would be nice and super usuful to see a video where you "guide" your brother through the problems as you did at one point in the video, giving him suggestions and showing the correct execution. I'm here since the #1 and it's only getting better, great job

      @hanswoast7 6 лет назад +1

      I would enjoy the same. It is difficult to walk the line between letting someone try out on his/her one and annoying him/her to death with too much tips. I think you'll manage that and it'll be a nice new format.

      I dunno... I think you can only go so far with siblings. Otherwise, everyone gets a ticket for the grumpy train.

    • @debblok6324
      @debblok6324 6 лет назад +1

      totally. i would also like to see one from your brothers point of view "beginner beta" (projecting something, how he reads it etc) and then working through the problem with tips from you, how and when to train someone, when they are ready for new techniques etc!

    One of your best vlogs yet! The best thing for me was seeing you get spat off 6b+ and 7a etc! Because I think it's important for anyone new to climbing, or plateauing in their progress, to see that even the pros who crush 8b or 9b (or whatever) find some styles trickier than others. Super inspiring!! We've all got room for improvement whatever the level. Looking forward to the next 100 vlogs and seeing Olavs progress

    8a hardest boulder in the gym ? Aren’t you bored ? That’s warm up for you! Cool video, looks so easy when you do all this boulder. Excited for Vlog 200, could be hard. Keep going!

    • @magmidt
      @magmidt  6 лет назад +23

      Thanks! The grades at our gym are pretty hard, so doing a 8A can take me a while actually. And usually I will just hang out in the training room making my own boulders. Don't get bored of that:)

    • @lucashorch8716
      @lucashorch8716 6 лет назад +1

      Magnus Midtbø Yeah, making own boulder with friends is most much more fun. When you creat crazy moves or make funny challenges. I think, it’s good to have your brother with you, to have a training partner and of course to edit your videos ;).

    As others have suggested, do videos where you teach your brother. Better yet, do the same route as him (and other beginners), show the two climbs side-by-side in slow motion, perhaps at 10% speed and talk about what the newbies are doing wrong. Perhaps illustrate with lines showing usual errors like bent arms or no support for center of gravity.

  • @Hjukid
    @Hjukid 6 лет назад +5

    Nice one, as always! :) I have one question I wanted to ask some time ago, when you visited Eric in Stockholm. How to see grades in their gym? Are they accurate? Just by watching videos i would assume that some of those are maybe easier than displayed grade. No hate, Iam just guessing it by holds I climbed on.

    • @magmidt
      @magmidt  6 лет назад +7

      Thank you! There is definitely a difference between the gym in Stockholm and this, but people say that the grades at Oslo Klatresenter are too hard. So Stockholm might be more accurate. Some of the boulders in this video for example should have been rated at least a couple of grades higher. In the end though I feel like indoor grades don't really matter.

    • @Hjukid
      @Hjukid 6 лет назад +1

      Yeah, some of those boulders in this video looked much harder in comparsion to those in Stockholm. Thats for sure, that indoor grading does not matter, I was just curious. Thanks for answer. :)

    • @daveb9917
      @daveb9917 6 лет назад

      When I was at Telefonplan in stockholm the last time I experienced the grades to be quite ”forgiving” and often one grade higher than what I would have rated them

    Question on the grade conversion, I thought that 7B was a V7 and then 7B+ V8 and then 7C V9 and 7C+ V10. It seems that you had 7A+ equal to V7 but also had the 7C+ equal V10. Am I missing something?
