My goodness did anybody notice the gorgeous view at Becky's mom's house?? Absolutely stunning!!
Washington is beautiful!
What a lovely patio, and a great coy pond. Could the view be any more beautiful?❤❤
I hope to have a view like that when I grow up 😂
@@terrisambuco6300 Becky's parents live in Oregon, but same type of views though 👍
@ScsfulSarah R Same girl, same!
At 40 some young, I hope it's soon! 🤣
😊❤️🥀🥀
Your parents have an amazing view from their home. It's always fun to see Mom.
I noticed that, it's gorgeous!
Thank you so much, Susan, Becky’s Mom
Your Mom is absolutely entertaining and delightful.
Thank you so much, Susan, Becky’s Mom
I love you, little Becky! I am old enough to be your granny. I have grandkids your age, but you are on one hand so knowledgeable and good at passing on that knowledge, and at the same time, just human enough to make me feel less alone in my own confusion. Good job!
Me, too. I am glad for new knowledge, even at 72. Knowledge is never wasted, even on the elderly.😊
@@ladymolly5143 me too. 73 and enjoy every video.
Yep me too- 68 and everyday is a school day 😂
Who doesn't love when Becky comes on!!! Yessss 😊😊😊 much love from North Carolina ❤
Thank you for the like 😊
I change asap to watch becky
I am from NC as well.
I too am in North Carolina.
Agreed @Nicholas🙃 Much, Love and thanks to Becky & Josh a beautifully Blessed couple. A wonderful blessing and inspiration to all of us. So absolutely much, much Love and thanks to Becky, Josh and family from Scotland 🙃 x
Becky, your mom is blessed and fortunate to have you as a daughter! ❤
Thank you so much, Susan, Becky’s Mom
When you were on your patio and feeling so frustrated I just wanted to give you a big hug and say “you’ve got this girl”.
Crockpot tip: to stop things becoming watery you can place a tea towel between the lid and pot to catch the condensation
I love it when your mom is in your videos. Together you are so adorable and fun. :)
Thank you so much, Susan, Becky’s Mom
Thank you so much, Susan, Becky’s Mom
It makes it easier if you place the plants in the first bin first in the outer pockets then place the second bin on top. Add plants to the second bin then place the third working your way up.
Yes, that is how I started mine 👍
Becky with all the loss I have had in my life you uplift me with all you do. I love watching your channel. I simply love your down to earth videos, you keep it so very real by showing the good, the bad and the ugly. YOU GO GIRL!!!!
Your mom & dad's backyard view is unbelievably beautiful!
Thank you so much, Susan, Becky’s Mom
@@susanjones3177 It's STUNNING & looks so serene. Ahhh
Wow, your mom's backyard & view is gorgeous! I've wanted one or more of those vertical planters for years! One day perhaps.
I love the idea of a growing humming bird feeder.
I slid the drain tube over the center of the planting section as I filled them to keep the mix from going down the hole. Make sure the hole in the gray dish is over the planting "cup",
So if you had another green stock you could put the runners into another container then the runners will easily grow then cut them after they root for better success.
They aren’t stacked correct look at your last 4
Had two that we used for strawberries. They were only half that tall and the wind blew them around and they got knock over and we’re always drying out to fast. On our deck. Wouldn’t waste your time with them.
Wind not a problem w.tie downs like for tents.Or, can put bricks in two lower sections
Beautiful day to spend with your mom. Happy Mother’s day to you, the moms in your family & all the mom’s in this awesome community.
Thank you, and may you have a wonderful mothers day also.
Happy New Week, Everyone! 🦋
Same to you, thank you!
@@pambyrd3794 Thank you so much!
Love when mom is on. Love her enthusiasm for all things!! We of course love Becky too!!!
Love your mom’s koi pond! Her view is beautiful!!😍
Yes ! Flowers are always an integral part of my garden , always focusing on attracting pollinators and pest repellers . However , I would use the Green stalks close to my kitchen for herbs , lettuce and berries . They are very pricey for all the soil and just flowers you can plant anywhere
I love your mom and now I know where you get your optimism from. Both yours and your mom's green stalks are going to be beautiful when the reach maturity. They are lovely now.
Dollar tree has their version of the green stalk as well. Not as sturdy or as large but def MUCH cheaper.
Your parents have a beautiful view! I love you being with your mom. She is a delight! ❤️
I've learned that by using carrots instead of sugar when processing the tomato sauce, it is a better flavor. It also helps balance out the acidity levels naturally.
I purchased 3 original planters in March during the sale. One is filled with assorted colors of petunias, one has june bearing strawberries and the 3rd one has peppers, spinach, kale, assorted greens, lettuces, carrots and basil and radishes. Everything is looking beautiful, surviving a terrible hail storm last Sunday. We moved them up against our garage when reports of servere storms and hail was is the forecast. I am so excited to have them doing so well. Thanks for sharing the sale with us Becky. Happy Mother's Day to you and your sweet Mom. Love from Iowa.❤
Hawaiian strawberries are also called hula berries. They are very small, and send out TONS of runners! Taste like a baby pineapple!
🇦🇺You could put the crock pot on a timer. The timer goes into the power point and the crock plugs into the timer. The timer has an on and off function.
I sure wished you would mention baby acre a little bit. Who takes care of him when you do all of the things you do? Love your channel
Yes please!
The view at your parents home is absolutely amazing 😮😍
Thank you so much, Susan, Becky’s Mom
Your mom has the size of garden that I like, love it!
Hello Becky!
The reverse strawberry is called a pine berry. We love ours.
In England we call the tiny ones they grow tall in shady damp areas alpine strawberries.
No wonder we don't understand each other half the time, same words different language 🥰
Those pine berries/ Alpine strawberries are yummy but holy cow are they bullies in the garden. I’m currently ripping them out of my ground patch and moving them to a green stalk.
I have seen them called pineberries too but maybe they are called different things in other countries, for example in the UK we say courgette or a marrow where others might say a zucchini.
Here in pa we call the small varieties “wild strawberries” these are the ones that take over as weed like plants. The white strawberries (usually sold in stores) are pine berries bc they are a pineapple strawberry flavor. And then strawberry plants that you buy are just strawberries
You might try a crock pot that allows you to program a start time and stop time.
When assembling your Greenstalks, make sure the holes in the blue water dish is lined up to the center of the pockets, so it hits the plant's roots.
As a broke girl hack you can get similar three compartment stacking pots at dollar tree for $1.25 each. They don’t have as many compartments and need extra support if you stack more than three or four high but I got two stacks of 8 pots that are about five foot tall and have 24 holes each for a bout $25 dollars including the price of a piece of rebar to reinforce.
Flowers nourish the soul, so it's really productive to plant them, just a different kind of productivity. Can't wait to see the towers in full bloom glory.
I just want to thank you for making my day always, I had trauma 4 years ago and now I am disabled at home every day, and are unable to do the wonderful gardens that I loved, but watching you makes my day and I just want to say thank you💕😊
Aw Ellen, it blesses me that you are here along the journey.
Becky will you PLEASE stop with this never ending drivel? You used to be so interesting, and now you're like Veruca Salt whining about wanting everything NOW!
@@DonnaAndCynthiaFisher can you please stop with the rude comments and take your negativity elsewhere? If you don't like the content, there's a little "X" that you can click, and exit the video. Try that next time, instead of posting ridiculous demands.

One recipe we like in the crock pot is honey mustard chicken and veggies. We start by putting the chopped onion in the bottom it creates the juice. Then any chicken you want top with potatoes, sweet potatoes, and carrots. Add 1full bottle of honey mustard salt and pepper to taste and cook on high for 4 hours. I have done it on med for 8 hours before. No water needed
Thanks for sharing your greenstalks with us! Just an idea that I did this past summer here is Oz...I made a kitchen garden for my balcony which is closest to my kitchen...all my herbs went into the pots. It was such a great idea that some of my friends did it too, even the ones with no garden, who just had a balcony in an apartment! All we have to do is step outside and snip off what we want. I've now planted some lettuce in a mini lightweight greenhouse out there and just snip off the leaves for a salad. My veggie patch is further away from my kitchen so this worked so well for convenience! Happy planting!
Love everything you do to inspire gardeners and home cooks. I just bought my first Greenstalk and am excited to plant it out. I’m headed for knee replacement surgery on May 30 so I wanted something that I could have all in one spot and take care of without having to crouch.
I had a double knee replacement 2 years ago, and what a game changer! You will be back gardening before you know it! Blessings!
Good luck with your surgery! I did a partial a few years ago and now I need a partial on the other one, but I’m avoiding it and just hoping if I pretend it’s not bad that it will go away😅. Gardening definitely is more difficult when you can’t move your knees.
This is so cool! I can see an herb garden right out your kitchen door! One for flowers !
Becky,I keep hoping you will show us your new furniture in your sunroom and living room.I would truly love to see it.Thanks
Another great ever bearing strawberry is Seascape. They produce big, sweet strawberries. Your mom will have beautiful strawberries before long.
Look into a Victoro steam canner. NO light no big pots of water. Love mine. So easy
There ARE all-year fruiting strawberry plants. But Mom would have to move the Greenstalk indoors, for the winter.
Luv your mom's garden! Becky fer sure grow grapes on your deer fence. Its long enough you cann grow plenty for you and deer and it will keep them from trying to get anything else. As for water you have all that draining from the house. We planted concord grapes at the end of our house gutter and it worked great.
So happy for you Becky! Oh how I wish I could get a greenstalk, but even more I wish I could spend a day with my mama. She passed away 13 years ago. Spend as much time with your mama as you possibly can while you can!
I completely agree, it’s been 13 years of missing my mom ❤
Thank you so much, Susan, Becky’s Mom
Oh so True, my mom n dad n I always planted the 🌼 flowers n garden this week all my life 😉🗯 but Daddy passed in September 2010 n momma passed May 23 of 2011 , this is a hard month for me each year 💔😇❗... I 🙏 we find peace n We now carry on the tradition with our grandkids. Making wonderful fun memories for them too 🌻🌞 🌼 each year ✅💯❗... I want a greenstalk too 😆
Are you able to grow fruit and nut trees?❤. And dont forget you can eat the peppery leaves and flowers of the nasturtiums. Great in salads❤
I love crockpots for easy dinners. I don't usually do lasagna in one, because I prefer the consistency of and depth in a pan in the oven. I DO have a casserole crockpot though which is great if I want to do a casserole especially for a party or buffet meal. Enchiladas turn out great. In a regular crockpot use any of your freezer meal meat marinades you have posted recently. My family's favorite favorite meal in the crockpot is one called Key West Ribs from Pillsbury. Been making. It for probably 20 years at least. 2 1/2
lb country-style pork loin ribs
1/4
cup finely chopped onion
1/4
cup barbecue sauce
1
teaspoon grated lime peel
2
tablespoons lime juice
1
teaspoon grated orange peel
1/4
cup orange juice
1/2
teaspoon salt
In 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker, place pork ribs. In small bowl, mix remaining ingredients. Pour over ribs.
2
Cover; cook on Low heat setting 7 to 9 hours. Spoon sauce over ribs.
Serve with rice and black beans, and a sprinkle of cilantro, and lime.
I have found that hanging Irish Spring soap bars for deer and rabbits… so far is working in my orchard and garden
I went to plant my strawberries in my tower and found a mass of grass, was a wren's nest with four babies... have to wait
Love when you and your mom work together. She is such an entailing lady.
Thank you so much, Susan, Becky’s Mom
Its so wonderful seeing ypur garden come together. Thank you for sharing
I am so excited gardening with you this year.
Becky, I love seeing your Mom on your videos, because she just a lovely person. I wish we could afford the green stalks, because I would love to plant some herbs and vegetables in them.
Thank you, Becky, for sharing your gardening and recipes.
Thank you so much, Susan, Becky’s Mom
Yeah!! Best part of the day is when there is a new Acre video.
❤ it is going to turn out fabulous. Your mom is precious
wow! loved the garden your mom and dad have, and that view! amazing, I would do nothing all day and just watch the clouds and the houses down below!
What a nice gift for your mom and sister. You are a good person.
Thank you for sharing how this was put together. This is my goal for next year to do on my small patio
The green stock is beautiful, perfect gift for the garden lover!
I can't wait for it to finally be warm enough here in Minnesota to plant my green stalks! Yours are beautiful!
Happy Mother’s Day to you both!
I got my mom, daughter and daughter in laws all green stalk planters last year. Great gift!
So excited to follow along. I know its going to be beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing. : )
I love the Koi pond! My kitty flipped mine out 1 night oh no I cried! Love love the greenstocks gave me ideas I have herbs growing to I plant them in my flower gardens too love your Mom Becky your so lucky to have that adult friend relationship with your Mom she's awesome! ❤😊
Thank you so much, Susan, Becky’s Mom
Great instructions on planting the green stalks. Excited to see how they’ve filled out in a couple of weeks and later. Great video.
Love your Moms garden and yard.
Beautiful! The lobelia was on sale because it's a cooler weather plant. It will probably languish if your temps get into the 90s. They will probably be beautiful for you for a good while. I love them, but here in my Texas zone 8 garden they won't last long. I think you're also zone 6 or 7, but probably don't get quite as hot as we do.
Loved watching you & Your ❤️lovey Mom . Happy Mother’s Day ! 🎉
We've started strawberries in our greenstalk. As for your lasagna, I've seen people use frozen ravioli instead of lasagna noodles
Beautiful love it and a great gift for your mom.
The greenstalks look so pretty!! Try using your crockpot for lasagna soup, it's so good!!
I love you and your Mom together! It's the same with me and my mom, especially the cooking together! 💜💜
*Question- What kind of "cherry" or small tomatoes would you recommend planting in the Green Stalk? I bought my mom a GS and she wants to fill it with tomatoes, Strawberries and flowers! 🍅🍓🌷
Just love the tarp idea! U are such a busy lady! Love every bit of all of your videos! Have fun!
I would love to see your mom’s garden in the summer months to see how it fills in.
I love my greenstalks. But my experience has taught me to keep the drain hose leading off the concrete because when I fertilized the plants , the excess fertilizer that drained out etched our patio.
You will have to show us updates on your moms garden and green stalk later in the summer.
I think your mom should make weekly appearances. Lol. We love her and she is a former Michigander! Love from Birch Run, Mi...we sat together at the homesteaders conference. last Oct.
I remember you! I think I’ll just make occasional guest appearances! Thank you so much, Susan, Becky’s Mom
Wow your mom's view & Koi pond is beautiful. She seems so fun to be around. Now I see where you get it from 😁You've inspired me to give the greenstalks a try. Been wanting to grow herbs & simple flowers. I have smaller yard so these would be perfect space wise & seem very beginner friendly.
It is so amazing 🍓🍉 Thank You for sharing your Mother 💖 Daughter Quality Time ✨🙏✨
Love seeing u an ur mom work together. U are so fortunate to have her an ur dad. Ur a wonderful daughter. Happy Mother’s Day Becky an Happy. Others day to ur beautiful mom/❤️❤️
I use a mixture of ground beef and Italian sausage in my lasagna. I think the flowers being different varieties will be gorgeous!
Love seeing Becky and her mom, glad I’m a part of Becky’s Bunch.
Love your mums little garden 😍
I'll be moving to Tennessee very soon I can't wait until I can grow a garden at my new house 🤗 ❤
I’m so excited that you started planting outside!!! It makes me happy
Your mom has a gorgeous Lawn/garden/landscape. Very nice .
This was perfect timing. I am planning on filling my Greenstalk tomorrow. I got some great tips to use.
Happy Mother's Day 💓 and to your beautiful mom that raised a sweet heart ❤️ love from Virginia ❤️
Since you went into detail about how you did not add lemon juice to your tomato sauce, according to the "USDA Complete Guide to Home Canning" on page 3-5 it says you need add acidification to tomato products whether you water bath can "or" pressure can. Under standard tomato sauce it is in bold to add acitification. Pressure canning does not changethe need to add acitification. Just thought you would want to know since people watch your canning videos.
I may be wrong and don’t have the time at the moment to go back and watch the video (I’m back in from lunch) but I believe she said she added onions to the tomato mixture which are high in acidity if I’m not mistaken.
@@suzetteblair8419 If i am wrong I apologize. Using the direction in the USDA Complete Guide to Home Canning for tomato juice or vegetable juice with onions you still have to add acitification. Stewed Tomatoes with onions require acitification. Again, if I am wrong I apologize. I will still be putting lemon juice in my canned tomato products. It is just to easy to put in a little sugar in if it is to tart. I know she said she didn't want to put sugar in it.
Thank you for the info!
Thank-you so much, for sharing your crockpot recipe. Love it...be well Becky!!
Oh my goodness, your green stalks are going to be beautiful! I have one green stalk with various things in it. But I made a mistake and had to go back and correct, by not lining up the holes in the watering trays in between each layer. I just wasn’t paying attention and stuck them on without lining them up, which I realized afterward and fixed. Can’t wait to see yours all blooming!
That’s funny about your thoughts on flowers in the garden when you first started. I was exactly the same way. Now wherever there’s an opening I try and stick some flowers 😂. Beautiful set up for both you and your mom!
My wife used to go to the Weed Lady's farm for dried flowers! She grew fields of flowers and would cut and dry all kinds of beautiful and great smelling flowers! Her barn had rows of hanging flowers and big pots and baskets full of every kind of flowers and plants! Lavender was my wife's favorite!
Hello from Florida Becky ! I 'm so excited to get a couple of greenstalks ! Your trip idea is just genius, why didn't I think of that ? Happy early mother's day .Love your videos and seing your Mom,she is so fabulous! Your videos make my days.❤
What a beautiful landscape! That would entice me to do the dishes more often!
the green stocks looks great! thanks for the video
Thank you for showing how these go together. I have ordered 2 of these planters on this great sale and expecting their arrival in just a few days. I know there will be instructions that come with them but nice to see and hear how they go together even if I don’t have the exact same kind.
