I am not Jewish but learned as I got older and came to respect the Jews as a community/people/faith - greatly over time. Whether you are a "believer" or not, Jews and Israel have a unique history and story to tell. It doesn't make them "better" than anyone but the older I get the more it makes sense that it is a unique position among all the faiths of the world and it's no accident that Jews continue to survive and thrive and lead the way in many humanistic endeavours - it cannot be rationally explained by any other than something "divine" in some way. Just to clarify, Yaron Avraham was born in Lod, an Israeli city with jewish-arab population. Ie, an Israeli and citizen of Israel. Aged 9 years old , his family sent him to quranic school in Gaza. That is, after seeing one of his brothers murder his sister over "honour", and being used as a drug mule by the family. Before 9 years old. Then, from 9 to 14 he was in Gaza. In Gaza, he saw the muftis (?) kill two 13 year old boys, accused of being gay. At 14, he managed to flee back to the country he was born in, Israel. And somehow, someone pretends that he is a traitor. To who? If you want to make the claim, you have to give a reason.
Would you have stayed in Gaza, any of you, and why would you do that? Being Israeli, why would that be treason? What good would have come from him staying on in Gaza, missing out on getting any real education. (quranic school is not education)

This is a very beautiful story of redemption which needs to be shown by networks. Sadly, they won’t because it seems that there are so many people whose minds right now are on the free Palestine movement. I cannot deny that there are so many women and children who have lost their lives in Gaza, it is very sad. But there is also a side that they are using the image of “children” to get the sympathy of many so that they can achieve their goal. There isn’t any Muslim who I can say have displayed patience and grace. There are exceptions who are more “subtle” in a sense but very rare, who are not combative, arrogant and aggressive. Majority of them are and if they belong to the radical Muslim groups, that is a different story and we know where it will go. Zechariah 12 says that Israel will be victorious and this was a prophecy made in the old times.

The kibbutz citizens were mostly peaceniks. You could see this guy even after what they did, Oct 7th, disbelieving things could get this bad. That people could hate so much.
They would be slaughtered with peace slogans still on their refrigerators, when they fell.
There is no question that hate is something taught. I knew about UNWRA, but his storys from the Mosque were truely horrible.. The mullahs and the religion control their lives. And so it came to this.
The West thinks of of other religions as, at worse, simply different peaceful, philosophys, with a religeous bent. Most are. But we were hopelessly naive when we accepted Moslem in vast numbers, as immigrants. Europe has come to deeply regret it.
You'd like to think of Gaza as a bit more civilized, modern, than the rest of the Moslem worl. If anything from it's pretty city, and proximity to Israel, as an example. Sadly, it is, if anything, worse.
What chance do people have, with such an upbringing.?? And what chance for real peace?? You could see the sudden hopelessness on that mans face, when he heard the other mans story. It was hard to watch. Much harder, of course, to live with.
Frankly, I don't see how you can deprogram people so entrenched in their beliefs. This could take decades. I don't envy Israel, the probably long, difficult road ahead.
But Israel has long been known to do the impossible. I wish them all the best.
