Nice video. Just picked up my Transalp today in Phoenix. Ordered the luggage racks from Outback but all the crash bars are out of stock. Probably go with Hepco Becker on the skid plate and crash bars. I had that same GPS mount ordered but saw your comment and cancelled it. I see 3d cycle has one with an extra mounting point in the center. I’m going to look at that

I'm ordering the GPS mount from 3d cycle as well. I too almost. order from Hepco Becker, but the stock came available with Outback. Either way I believe Hepco Becker and Outback make outstanding products. I've been enjoying the Honda!!

Sorry, I just saw the accessory plug from Tu at 3dcyccle parts. I bought the fender eliminator and like the look of that-it's well made. Do you like their accessory plug? I also see you got the AX41's. Have a pair waiting for my bike to come in! I also have the Altrider pegs. Went with the Hepco & Becker engine and tank/fairing guards. Thinking about making my own skid plate. I also got the same Barkbusters. In the process of making my own metal brush guards in lieu of the plastic ones (I'm an artist, it's a problem with me). Look forward to see some riding videos!

I do like the accessory plug and use it for two USB plugs (iphone and GPS). So far it has worked well. Can't go wrong with the look of the eliminator fender good choice. I too believe if you have the tools and the artistic to manufacture parts...do it! Great feedback and thanks.

I had two of those style GPS mounts and they are trash. I would suggest looking into something a little more robust. Without even doing off-roading the lateral vibration snapped one of the arms. I would be mindful of the grips drying out and getting hard and cracking if you leave the bike out in the sun for extended periods of time. I would also suggest aligning the Barkbuster support bars to match exactly with your levers. Currently it looks as though your levers are slightly below the support arms. I'm curious about the Outback products. I do like their stance on mounting locations. I would also recommend a center stand and some additional lights. I bought a cheap set of LED lights for 24 dollars and they make a huge difference in seeing and being seen.

Agree on those mounts, since the video I have replace the mounting system to a better one. www.3dcycleparts.com/SW-MOTECH-GPS-Mount-Honda-XL750-Transalp-2022-p623317570
The grips keeps "somewhat" vibration away, and they're pretty cheap on Amazon. Also, very easy to slip on. I do agree the sun will crack and dry them up. On the aligning of my Barkbusters, that's been a challenge getting them to align with my wrist ergonomics with the levers while standing on the bike . If I was to match the levers, my fingers hit the guards. I'm still messing around with this situation. About the centerstand situation...it finally arrived after being on backorder and love it. I too agree on getting some additional lighting put on. I bought Harbor Freight off-road lighting, but I've been procrastinating on putting them on. www.harborfreight.com/automotive/automotive-accessories/automotive-lighting/off-road-lights/3-in-led-spot-with-side-light-pair-57538.html
I really appreciate the feedback and your informative remarks and viewers and subscribers like you keeps my videos coming. Thanks again...@mbarr691

How do you like the seat cover? Is it for comfort or ventilation? I'm in NYC with a Transalp on order. Will be commuting mostly. Considering you're in a hotter climate, does the cover help with heat? thanks. Andy

The seat cover is for ventilation and rain. Comfort is ok, but can’t shift your ass side to side as good. Also, great for summer months.

Many good upgrades. I like the pegs. Think the wrong ones are in the description. Linked to a universal peg. But i have bought something similar mounted on my swmotech crashbars for highway use. Also have skidplate from them. I did suspension upgrade. Mccruise electronic cruisecontrol. And outex tubeless kit. Dunlop trailmax raid tyres. Auxilary lights. Barkbusters. Heated oem grips. 12v socket. Oem wind deflectors. I am at 9000km on mine. Had it since june 23.

Sounds great!! What company did you use for the suspension upgrade. I’m holding off, and probably decide after I test the OEM suspension on the AZ BDR and my own discovery routes.

@@FACELopez Have andreani in forks and touratech at the back. Depends on what you do. If only road and some gravel roads dont bother to change. It is much better then the keyboard heroes claim that has never ridden one. I just needed bottom out support for some of the rougher trails i go to that has many km with some dips that eat travel. Otherwise it would have never changed it. Does not have to be adjustable to be great. But as mentioned i need it because of where i sometimes ride. I rode a T7 and that bike sucks on the same places. Overrated bike. Top heavy as hell and is harder to move around in tight trails. The T7 suspension is not smallbump sensitive either. The TA flows much better on road and gravel.

Are the alt rider pegs modified ones for the Africa Twin? I still don’t see ones for sale specific to the TA. Thank you!

How do you like those Mosko bags? How do they fit with the big grab handle? I have been thinking about ordering a set but I am concerned they will not fit or lay properly on the bike. Great job outfitting the TA.

    • @FACELopez
      @FACELopez  7 месяцев назад +1

Yes, wasn’t to sure about the fit. They do fan out, but I really don’t see a problem with it. The 40 reckless is good for every day use, but might need the 80 if plans are to venture out for weeks.

Appreciate the feedback, I would be looking at the 80s for my TransAlp as I do multi day trips.

Are the Alt rider pegs for the Africa Twin? Did you have to modify them? I don’t see any specific to the TA. Thank you!

I took the order # from Big Rock Moto, and sent Altrider an email. They replied by saying “if I could send them the measurements “. So, I send them measurements, but they had already sent the pegs. After receiving the pegs, they went on without any modifications and was an easy installation.
