Can’t wait to see the next two episodes 🎉 I really hope they don’t have any issues renewing for the following seasons. I’d be so disappointed, this show has been so fun to theorize about with each other each week! ❤ Thanks guys for another great discussion with the Fromily!
Seeing as season 3 is coming to an end i thought id give you guys a recommendation for a new show. Severance is a show you guys MUST check out you wont regret its just an interesting show
I have said this on a few channels but I believe the 7 kids bring people into fromville to help save them in season one episode 1 when the mathews family see the tree it shows the roots of that tree for a few secs and we just found out the kids hope and power went into the roots of the tree I think not only did they have power of the faraway trees but also all the trees
I’m conspiracy theorist always thinking Jade. I think Elgin’s situation is more complicated. His premonition on the bus… the dreams… the apparent psychic connection. No offense to Fatima but I’d be doing that too if I were him
I don’t think Elgin and the Kimono lady are bad, I feel like we don’t understand them now because we don’t have the full story but they are on the good side.. at least I hope because I really like Elgin he is my brother fr and his soul is sweet
My craziest thing is I believe the monsters can't actually die, they're spirits that require a host to grow them a new body should the last one become too damaged for them to occupy; goes back to my theory they're actually fae of some kind (which is synonymous with spirits in Celtic lore). It could be the town itself knows when one of them dies and chooses someone within the town to grow a replacement and then provides the conditions required to grow a new body for the spirit to then occupy. Here are a few things I've been thinking about and went back to confirm some of it myself just to make sure my memory wasn't wrong: 1. The EXACT episode that Fatima suspects she's pregnant is the same exact episode Smiley died. Season 2, Episode 5. 2. The town only started creating the conditions to rot the food after Smiley had died. The creatures innards are desiccated husks, dried out organs and such, and require not only flesh (the blood) but also rot that corrupts it in order to allow their souls to transfer into it. Look up the Slaugh in celtic folklore: they're cursed spirits who are generally depicted as a sinister, airborne host of souls, often viewed as fae beings that were corrupted by their connection to death, the underworld, or dark magic. 3. Elgin drew his blood and Fatima was craving blood. I suspect that the blood was required to grow the creature within her: the blood Elgin drew was to force feed her the blood to grow the monster baby. The reason Fatima hasn't looked pregnant was because she resisted the urges to eat the rot and consume the blood and flesh of humans that would allow it to grow. Now that Elgin is providing what it craves it will begin to grow rapidly. I suspect it will be fully grown within a matter of days or even hours once it's born just like the xenomorphs of the Alien franchise. 4. The creatures human appearance is a shapeshift or illusion of some kind. They choose the appearance they want whereas the monstrous form is their true appearance so therefore we could very well see Smiley himself return from the dead as (if I'm correct about them being spirits rather than living creatures) that might just be his preferred appearance he takes. The fact that it's Fatima who is carrying the child will have zero effect on a monster's form after they're born.
I agree but how do you explain how surprised the monsters were when smiley died ? And Elgin already dreaming about the water before coming to fromtown and getting drown by the kimono lady ?
@ZiliBabe Because they couldn't predict Boyd would have figured out a way to kill one. That doesn't mean they can't die, it just means it doesn't happen often enough for them to not be surprised. Elgin the kimono lady needed to not be thinking clearly. By using sleep depravation she mentally wore him down to the point that he was willing to do anything to leave; it so she could manipulate him later on, as we saw he was repeatedly refusing to go to sleep after that. Elgin was so sleep deprived that this season he was questioning whether or not he was even awake. The goal of the creatures aren't to just kill you, it's to break you.
@@ZiliBabe I replied but I don't see it so I'll state it again. The monsters were surprised because they do not die often: death of someone who is nowhere near death is always surprising, and that's no different to creatures who have operated years without being killed. As for the Kimono lady: she needed Elgin desperate to leave and sleep deprived to the point that he was desperate enough to do whatever she wanted to make the suffering stop; people will believe lies if it offers them a glimmer of hope, just look at Sara and how she was promised to be freed too but it ultimately led to her brother's death. These creatures thrive on watching others suffer and breaking them, that's why when they kill people they often don't just kill them but torture them to make even the onlookers suffer. They love making people scared, that's the point. That's the game to them.
@@thenewwatchersonthewall thanks. I thought a lot about the theory of spirits to begin with and celtic folklore starting primarily with the sigil stones having reminiscent iconography especially when they showed the new houses that look like turf houses. Turf house roofs look identical to what they found so it could be the fae folklore was based on real spirits they encountered. Additionally celtic folklore has very strong beliefs about thresholds acting as protective barriers against spirits so that really sold me on it since the sigil stones specifically have to be hung near the entrances. ... btw I still do not trust the Boy in White. I think he's a trickster fae, which would explain a lot of his odd behavior including playing amongst the corpses when Victor was a child at the playground. I also don't think the creatures are sleeping, they're not occupying their host bodies and spying on the townsfolk while invisible. It's how they know things without hearing it.
That's Sarah on the ground btw, in the promo, affected by the sound. The Julie scene with her in the dungeon is the same exact scene from episode 8....so maybe it's either flashback (weird) or whoever release the promo cut it wrong.
@@thenewwatchersonthewall I don't doubt that you did. All I'm saying is that scene with Julie is a scene from episode 8. 32 mins 30 secs in the episode when she enters the dungeon. So I just thought it was weird that a scene from episode 8 was in the episode 9 promo. I guess it could be a flashback but it would be strange to flashback to a episode that just happened, which is why i thought it was an error on the part of MGM +.
@@jasonthomas9729I understand what you're saying man. Whoever cut the trailer, whether it was MGM or a company MGM hired, possibly cut the trailer with a clip from the previous episode. Could also be a flashback...could actually also be either Julie or someone else seeing what happened with Julie in ep 8 by time traveling themselves.
My theory. The children that where sacrificed where the first test of the first victims to get stuck in the town. I don’t think they created the town. However I think they did create the far away trees in their death and a potential escape. I think their sacrifice was a trick done by the entity like how they convince Sara to kill nothing more. Ultimately I don’t think their is a way out and peoples hopes to get out feed this entity. We’ve seen it when other people die things randomly appear like when ms Chen dies and the town was going to starve a crop of random vegetables and fruits large enough to feed everyone randomly appears in the exact spot her son is at. I also believe Fatima is acting as a vessel of birth. I believe she is giving birth to a monster. Not just any monster but the one and only red headed fan favorite smiley himself. It’s also more torture for Boyd when he finds out and will further break him. I don’t think Fatima will survive or Elgin either. For Martin I think he’s someone who isn’t there yet. I think he’s going to be a new addition to from town but in the past. I think Julie might spend some extended time in the past living with the people who sacrificed the kids and he’s one of them potentially the one who tells the story and is locked up because of it. I think she’s gonna have another moment that’s slips her in time and maybe a day will go by in real time but she’ll spend a longer time in the past. That makes a lot of sense to me for season four.
32:56 there’s a problem with this theory . That painting from the credits is actually hanging on the wall of Ellis and Fatima room right above the couch. You see it in that scene on the episode where they talk about getting the ultrasound maybe episode 6 or 7. Also we know Ellis is also an artist so he might be the one who painted that picture of the man and woman in the woods . But who did he paint cause the man is too dark to be Ellis .
Do you guys have a PO Box or anything? I run an Etsy shop that sells From stickers and I’d love to send you a few! You all have provided me with so much joy during a difficult time and I would love to give back!
3:58 if I got to choose who I would be if be Marielle. Send me to the cute lesbian clinic, please. If I'm being realistic I'd probably be friggin Elgin though. Struggle to sleep, have some weird dreams, get manipulated by a ghost cause I'm too sleep deprived to have critical thinking skills.
