Hello Mrs. Stephany, My mother's side of the family was from St Croix My Grandfather was Danish and my Grandmother was Cruzan. We lived there way back in the late 1950s. and went to the Catholic school. I remember a red bean soup with dumplings in it that the nuns would served us for lunch. Would you possible know this recipe? I would love to be able to make it for my grandchildren to enjoy. My aunt Edith Olsen , also from St Croix made these sun dried lemons for us. I don't know what they were called I was very young when she made them but dearly loved them with meals and fish. There is no recipe to be found on line to match them I have tried many. Perhaps you would know it and share with us how it is done. I remember her slicing the lemons in half and putting them on kitchen towel in the sun to dry then putting them in jars to keep. We often ate them with fried fish they were so yummy. They were not the preserved lemons you see all over the net. And thankyou so much for the recipe for Guava jelly my mother made that for us and now I can too. thankyou so much, I am happy I found your show .

This was such a informative video and I really appreciate you both educating your viewers. My boyfriend is Cruzan, but no longer lives on the island. He is having a birthday very soon. After watching your video I tried to see if I could find someone who makes Greengage jams to sale..no luck! 😆If you know anyone who would be willing to sale me a jar and ship I would be a buyer. 😍
