This has been the best video by far I’ve been looking for and you’re the only one thank you so much for all the tips. I’m going on my cruise in 42 days with Virgin on the same cruise. Very helpful.
Merryn you are so sweet and such a doll as I was producing this piece, I was dreaming of your beetroot hummus 😋 Will definitely visit on my next trip to St. Croix!
We went to Nidulari after watching this video. We met Shelly and bought the fresh sourdough bread, a bunch of their snacks, the biscuits & gravy, and the grilled chicken sandwich. Everything was amazing. Those ladies can cook!! Highly recommend.
Very nice! I am Darin from our "Older RUclips Group." First time here, and I subbed because I too am a travel channel (Regional to Northern California). These "Where to eat" and "Where to stay" videos typically resonate. Great job and congrats with your channel!
Thank you so much for the sub! I love your channel too - yea and after visiting so many restaurants I thought... hmmm I need to make a list cause I like these too! Looking forward to visiting Northern CALI and getting more great info!
I agree that the Sandcastle is and was one of our favorites as well. We ate a lot in St Croix! We also loved The Bombay Club and Savant over in Christiansted. I want to go back right now after watching your video. :-)
@@TravelwithWendy The Bombay Club has an amazing ambience and the food was wonderful. I honestly didn't eat anywhere in St Croix that wasn't good to be fair. Even the Montpellier Domino Club up in the rain forest was good. Simple, but good. Oh and the pigs there drink beer. 😆
Absolutely! I included them in my very first video of "Where to EAT in St. Croix!" I also visited again this past April because it was that good. Love the owners too - super friendly and met them on the plane over from Florida!
If you ever come back Also recommend AMA, Too.Chez, Blue Water Terrace, Coral Sea Restaurant, La Reine's Chicken shack and Joes are two local spots that are great too!
The La Reine Chicken Shack is excellent and owned by a great local family. There are a lot of local food restaurants in St. Croix as well that serve many different seafood options.
@dawnboudreau9575 did you used to go to Captain Weeks just east of the four in Christiansted, or Lucy's lunch truck at night in the wharf parking lot? Both of had excellent local food!
Although those dishes sounded nice, you did not capture real Crucian food. You had good off island cuisine brought to the island. FYI, if anything you ate reminded you of anything waffle house, it was not authentic crucian food.
Hmmm, that's an interesting take, nothing reminded me of Waffle House since I never eat there. Once in my life and it was about 45 years ago ;) thanks for your comment though
Would have loved to see more of Black owned restaurants since it is from their culture. 2 1/2 weeks there and you missed out on so much culture. I was there 5 days and spent more time with the locals who came from generations there. Big let down this video.
Sorry you were disappointed, would love it if you listed some of your favorites to include, this was only one video I did on where to eat, I have a more recent video with my visit in August. I always visit restaurants recommended by my local friends on STX, nevertheless I appreciate you watching
Thank you for shining a positive light on my beloved ST. Croix.
Sure ❤️ the island 🏝️

You’re welcome and thanks for the kudos 🎉 I’ll be doing more islands in February with Virgin Voyages too - have the best time in the #usvi
Thanks so much for featuring Nidulari in your food tour! Look forward to seeing you again!

Yay!! I’m so glad that is so wonderful - Shelly is Fantastic!
I hope to taste her fresh sourdough bread soon. I got spoiled in Italy and in Frisco with sourdough!
My heart is definitely happy when my belly is full! All the food looks amazing!
Thanks Casey for watching - yea, I'm with you, was super glad I got some Moo Moo's while I was there it made growing so much easier 😂
Glad you got out here a couple of times!! Miss you!!
Me too!! You guys are the perfect hosts! Looking forward to EUROPE!!

Since the refinery has closed and the tour boats still have not made it back I hope STX can survive.
It is such a resilient island - there is so much to see and do, golfing, water rec, great stays, rum nights! I promote it as much as I can.
This is AWESOME!!! I will try them all lol
Hi Katia - thanks for watching, they were all awesome and I've been trying to do vegan/vegetarian there were so many great options on the island.
My favorite spot is laurnies chicken shake...spanish food!!! Yummmm
Absolutely! I included them in my very first video of "Where to EAT in St. Croix!" I also visited again this past April because it was that good. Love the owners too - super friendly and met them on the plane over from Florida!

@@DodatStCroix I love the Chicken Shack - and thanks for the suggestions will for sure be back
Where is the original local food???
The La Reine Chicken Shack is excellent and owned by a great local family. There are a lot of local food restaurants in St. Croix as well that serve many different seafood options.
You missed a lot of other great places. Lived there for 40 years. All those you showed were not there except Rum runners.
WOW! It sounds like an opportunity to check more out - what did I miss?
@@TravelwithWendy Savant, Duggans reef, Rowdie joes, There are a lot more i have to think about it. Left 5 years ago. I will let you know.
@@dawnboudreau9575 well I tell ya, you were lucky to live there so long 🏝
@@TravelwithWendy Yea i was!!!! It not the same anymore.
@dawnboudreau9575 did you used to go to Captain Weeks just east of the four in Christiansted, or Lucy's lunch truck at night in the wharf parking lot? Both of had excellent local food!
Next time try some Wst Indian foods. Thanks 👍
Recommendations please 🙏
You missed The Goat, Soup & Whiskey, seasonal high end restaurant on the east end. Easily one of the best or the best on the island!
You are the second person whose mentioned that - I’m gonna have to find out why and how I missed it 😉 thanks for the recommendation
@@TravelwithWendy Also try Ziggy’s Sunday brunch! One of my favorites.
@@nickstaursky2434 what’s your favorite there?
Nice video...just fyi. Cruzan which is derived from Crucian is pronounced more like Crewshun.
Awe thanks for the correction, I’ll be there again soon, I can practice again 🫶
Melinda Steinbrugge
None of these are TRUE CRUZAN FOODS.
Would love to know where we could get real Cruzan foods! Love St.Croix

Thanks for watching - I hope you liked the restaurants I highlighted & I am open to suggestions 👍
We tried Ci Bo Ne last night really amazing - what local restaurants to do you recommend- will be visiting again!
