Thank you, you saved me. I installed new shut off valves and tested the drum. Found a leak in the valve and had darn near a full drum off water. Again, thank you, you saved me Edit: Words and punctuation. 😅
Hey dude, this is a light saver. I accidentally don’t know what’s going on, but my washing machine has like water in it and I’m just don’t know how to get rid of it, but I think I know what to do
To me it seems mechanical and the only real solution would be to open up the protective casing to see the mechanics of it. I did however find this link: www.lg.com/us/support/video-tutorials/lg-washer-spin-only-option-CT10000010-1374092270314 Hopefully that can help guide you a little.
Good question! Sometimes the drain line or the filter can get clogged. Only other reason I can think of is the washing cycle gets stopped prematurely before the washer started the draining process. Hope that’s helpful to you. Thanks for watching!
When I drain my washer (I have the new Signature Series) I get a pint or more of water every time. even after only running the machine for one cycle. The LG video shows ony a couple of ounces of water coming out of the drain... is this amount of water a problem?
I noticed in the comments you mentioned about unplugging the machine to reset it... Is that a possible solution... I just got the washer and just want to make sure it is not damaged or have some kind of problem and wanted to check and see if a pint or more of water coming out of the drain was excessive. Thanks for your help and for the video.
I appreciate the question and to be honest, I’m not sure. To me it sounds like it could be a problem. My best recommendation would be to reach out directly to LG technical support. They will be the best people to give you the exact answer on that good luck!
This was a lifesaver, I looked everywhere and nobody could give a straight answer for some reason thanks
THANK YOU!! I almost gave up after looking at so many videos, all over the internet, and in the manual. This saved my day.
Worked like a charm! My model let me pick "no" spin speed but it still drained the tub and finished within 1 minute.
So helpful
Keep going with more videos
Thanks for the video, really helpful 😊
Thanks- it worked! Guess we need to reset, then maybe check the drain pump

Ya it works but I have to do it after every other load, so what’s the real issue with my washer? 2010 lg true balance
Good question. It almost sounds like it needs a reset. Have you unplugged it from the wall and starry it over from there?
I recommend checking out your drain pump. You may need to replace that.

This is one of the things the top load machine has a clear upper hand over the front load one. You can just press a button, and it'll drain, very easy
Valid point.
My lg only has a rinse and spin. It’s supposed to only be 13 minutes, but it’s been spinning for 2 hours with no draining.
But why is there water in it in the first place, two loads came out wet?
So helpful
Happy to have helped! Thanks for the feedback.
I have noise but no spinning. Any thoughts??

Why does water stay in the drum?

How long do you wait for it to spin?
I did a whole spin cycle. It was only 12 minutes or so.
@@handymanfortheaverageman7975 thanks. The humming just keeps going no spin :(
So is your tank full of water and won’t drain?? Did you try a drain cycle?? Or is your issue that the tank simply won’t spin at all and only hums??
@@handymanfortheaverageman7975 Won’t spin and only hums
@@handymanfortheaverageman7975 I have the same problem as Jennifer..
FYI: this addresses some backups, yet perhaps not the cause.
FYI: women also require maintenance education. ;)
Did it and it just spins.
You did the no spin cycle and it just spins?
Singing washing machine
What?
I never heard a washing machine play that long of a song when it’s done. It’s cute

Thanks for the feedback. I probably just need to spend my own money to invest in better equipment.
