C-17’s literally brought thousands of military members to Landstuhl, GE while I was deployed ther ‘05 through ‘06. They also took thousands back to CONUS to get the specialty care they needed. We were an Army hospital, but we had AF, Marine & Navy all working together. The C-17’s were often partly flying ICU’s getting critical patients who had to be monitored often minute by minute, including ventilators & a “Christmas tree” of IV bags above them to keep them stable. I will always salute those pilots & staff for keeping so many alive, sometimes if only for a handful of days, so that their loved ones could say goodbye. Best job & worst job all at the same time in my 39+ yrs of nursing.
I remember watching live. Amazing job guys! Keep it up. Thanks!..... Adding my story. I flew on C-17s in and out of Afghanland. When I left on one for leave it had two heavy mine resistant vehicles on board and we banked hard and the chain went limp for a second in front of me. Nervous moment but amazing power and flights.
I live close to Travis AFB it is quite impressive to watch those big boys do their touch and go training. I love the whine of those four huge Pratt & Whitney engines.
I flew on a C-17 to Guam from Alaska and a chain holding cargo popped loose right in front of me on take off. They did not abort the take off. Cargo didn't move, though. Other 3 chains held it.
Good job pilots. You all, I'm sure, have seen that video of that Boeing 747 falling out of the sky and slamming into the ground after departure? That was a cargo issue where a military vehicle broke loose, causing a severe weight and balance issue.
It is always safer than sorry. I’ve watched videos and heard people I know complain about a delay. Most of the time a delay is for the safety of the passengers and crew! If I ever ride on an airplane, I’m checking weather and also if there is a delay, I’ll know it is for a good reason. Also, cargo planes have crashed before and after watching videos, I’m never complaining again if a package or something is late.
Quick decision... either the on-board loadmaster or indicator detector that something was not properly connected...as in a bad seat belt connection? Well done!
Spectacular catch, well done! Would you be okay with me featuring the aborted takeoff in my series Weekly Dose of Aviation? Of course you will be credited both in the video and in the description. Thanks!
Flew in a C-17 from Florida to Californa. Flight level was I think 430. Total air time was just over 3 hours...meaning we landed at about the time we took off..3 time changes..
I couldn’t figure out my log in password for the channel I use for this and finally did. I had to go through google chrome. Missed being part of the chat. But I’ve been ill a lot and have new health issues. Glad to be back.
Thought this was the "L.A. Flights" channel, not the "JFK Flights channel. You might consider renaming the channel as " U.S. Flights". Finally, the large "watermark" on the bottom of the screen is very distracting and covers up part of the action. TD
We’ll always be La flights despite our love for jfk. The logos are there because people pirate our content and use our footage without permission. Don’t blame me blame the few that ruin it for everyone👍
Mad respect to the pilots and their quickly decision making skills!

T’was a C17 par-tay! 😂
Have these two taken any flying lessons yet?
Oh dear
Loadshifts are extremely dangerous.
*ESPECIALLY* with the weight of individual components they often carry! 😮
heavy c17x2 1 abort...reverse thrust ..
Strange,

Why do always let a three year old do the camera work❓️
He just didn't want to go back to California. Don't blame him, I wouldn't either😂
I was on a C-141 that aborted a takeoff, its hardly a big deal
