Lol thank you. He asks why for absolutely everything without thinking. Takes some patience 🤣 had someone tell me they left my channel cuz he asked why he shouldn't throw rocks at ducks. Made me laugh. They obviously have never had a child go through the "why" stage
I know Im a nervous mom, but this is Florida and there are alligators, poisonous, snakes and bob cats. Please watch Xander closely.
Loved this video! We, like the older couple, came down to Sarasota from northern Wisconsin to see what all you Mennonites talk about 😂 We stayed at Carlisle Inn and loved it! Our girls loved Der Dutchmens, Olafs, sea shells and the hot tub. Glad you enjoyed a family vacation before little girl comes!

I think if you’re having a bad day all you need is a dose of vitamin Xander and all will be right in the world again. He is just so cute and funny. I love seeing the world from his perspective.

Totally enjoyed "our" vacation. It was relaxing just watching Zander. I bet you had one happy tired boy. How did you feel after you speaking engagement. I bet it was well received. Tell Dad Alligators are faster on land than water. Speeds up to 35 MPH. I bet he knew that but wanted Zander to relax.
He was happy and tired! I will have to tell Nolan that. I didn't think they could move fast on land. Shows we didn't grow up with them!
Please keep our relatives in Ukraine in your prayers, we have 2 sisters with their families there.

Hi...I love watching Xander playing and feeding the Flamingos... That is so amazing...Those Jungle Gardens are beautiful...Ive never been to Florida but going there would be worth the trip...I love watching Xander play and enjoying being a child like it should be...You're such good parents..I wish I could go back about 55 years and do so many things different....He's going to be a great Big Brother and I can't wait till the new baby is born and see his reaction...So glad you got to meet Lynnette I also watch her RUclips channel...So glad you got to go on a wonderful trip and shared it with us...I enjoyed the music 🎶Take care and stay safe and pray for Safe Travels🙏 God Bless You and your family...LuvYa! I never had a desire to visit Florida, but I must say after watching all of Lynette's vlogs and now your trip, I think I may have to put that on my bucket list. The Pinecraft/Sarasota area looks like a lovely place to visit with much to do. Wondering if all went well at the lady's retreat? I haven't had a vacation in so many years and right now with all the stress in the air, it mad a serious difference to me. It was like going back in time. It was so nice to recognize again how beautiful life can be - IS. I watch your site as often as I can. I come from southwestern NY and so am very close to the Amish life here. Love it. Hope your feet recovered quickly and you are feeling good now. I hope the delivery goes smoothly. I am sure the baby will be beautiful. Love to all.

We just got home from Sarasota, and we stayed in Dwayne & Virginias cute lil camper. Our daughter in law is their Neice… spited me that I missed meeting you! Would’ve been fun! I often think trips like that with grandchildren will be like back to going w our lil children, adding to the expressions and excitement. They’ve all outgrown Jungle gardens:) great job in capturing Xanders expressions! Love your photography.
So we just arrived home from Florida this morning 😊 we had so much fun!! Would had loved to meet up with Lynette myself!! We stayed right smack in pinecraft ourselves, Postal cafe’ smoothies are the best!! Did you go to Lido Beach.. we love that beach, we go to south Lido not near as many people!! Our daughter got proposed to while we were down there🥰 at Rothenbach park , sooo beautiful!! So we were just gone a total of five days ,short but sweet!! We Enjoyed the beautiful sunshine!!!

We live in Cape Coral, Florida about an hour south of Sarasota. My sister lives in Sarasota. So glad you had a wonderful family vacation. ❤️
Enjoyed your Florida trip. We winter in englewood just south of Venice. We visit pine craft and Der Dutchman a couple times a winter. If you come again come down and see us and I’ll take you on our pontoon to see dolphins and manatees. Just let us know and we’ll work out a trip. Looks like you had a great time.
I grew up in Sarasota and lived there most of my life. We live in Tennessee now. Too bad it isn't the small town it used to be, but it's still a nice place to visit. 🙂 Looks like you had a good time! The Pinecraft crowd for singing has really grown since I was there years ago!

Nice one! Where does all that kid-energy go?? I've always found it weird how it seems to switch off once they get to be teens! I think Xander will love having a sibling. Yes, I can't imagine burned feet would be any fun for you, I've had them & the only 'good' part is that at least you can soak them - any other part of the body is not easy to cool down - hope you're all recovered now! Xander was right to be fearful of the peacocks - they can be very vicious & gators can move faster than you'd think!!! Take care you guyz.

Zander is right to be afraid. Alligators are dangerous and they can run very fast. They do mostly stay in the water but the can travel on land.
Oh, those excavator toys are great! My son can't get enough of them when we find one somewhere!:-)

I live just south of Venice Beach ,near Englewood Beach.The kids have so much fun at the beach,they enjoy it much more than I do. We spent the morning today in Sarasota shopping at Costco & , of course, Detweilers.I believe you live near Lancaster,Pa. We lived there for a few years in the 70's - loved it - but husband got transferred back to Pittsburgh. We moved to Florida when we retired in 2010.

I live less than a quarter mile from Ringling Museum! It is a gorgeous area when you know where to look. And much is free. Glad you enjoyed it! And just so you know, just because you don't see them doesn't mean they aren't there. There is at least one gator in every fresh water body of water in Florida. They are shy and usually leave you alone. Unless it's mating season. They will get aggressive. But they still usually leave humans alone. Your Florida nature lesson of the day... Lol!

I was thinking what if one of the seagulls held its ground… what a surprise that would have been! I just love his energy. Seeing him so concerned about you getting chomped was touching. I was listening to the Christian radio station the other day and the question a listener had was how do I know when God is prompting me to do something verses me willing myself. The host used the same Bible verse and followed with look for an open opportunity. How wonderful that you had an open opportunity that provided to other and to your family. Im so glad you got to meet Lynnette, too! As always thanks for taking us along.

Looks like a fun trip. I live in IL. We go to Indiana on vacation where the are several large Amish communities. Some of the best food, beautiful furniture, baskets and quilts crafted there. Elkart, Shipshewana, Goshen, Middlebury and Nappanee, Indiana. My family usually spends time there every couple of years.

My parents have had a place on AMI for decades... so used to seeing lots of Menonites around the Sarasota/Bradenton areas. Which is funny because I also grew up in Upstate NY where a lot of old order Menonnite and Amish are. Totally different experiences.

I understand your concern with showing compassion to animals as it's very important to me. Just curious if you've ever raised a little boy? 🙂 the one I have is so energetic it takes constant reminders every day to teach him. It sure would be so nice if they could learn everything by the time they are 4... 😀 make a parents life so much easier
