You can in fact activate the effect of trishula if the opponent only meets 1 or 2 of the requirements to activate. If they have no or field you can just banish from hand, so on and so forth. This is the effect of trishula: When this card is Synchro Summoned: You can banish up to 1 card each from your opponent's hand, field, and GY. (The card in the hand is chosen at random.) "Up to 1 card each" states you at least must banish one card from one of the given areas, as long as 1 of the requirements are met trishula can activate. You also get to choose the card to banish in grave and on field.
Just a tip for the next games: Georgius and Speaker are effects that active in hand, only if they resolve you can special summon them. Because it says: If you control an "Ice Barrier" Monster: The second effect from georgius applies when he is successfully summoned. These are two different chains where the enemy can chain something to it. Just for you information =)
Most of the times it is: Condition:Cost;Effect or Condition:Effect. Always check the text for colon or semi-colon. It indicates whether it is a cost or effect. Costs can't be negated, only the effect.
@@SharkShaaincorrect the way original trish effect work is that you must be able to banish 1 from hand, Field and GY. If you could just pick and chose which ones you want to resolve the card would be way better
@@thebreadboi8825nope. You are the incorrect one. This is the case for nekroz of trishula. The ice barrier one has a totally different text that doesnt only actuvate if the opponent has cards in each place. It is not that you pick and choose. You still have to banish one from each place. But the effect still activates even if the opponent for example doesnt have a card in gy or hand
@@thebreadboi8825my man trish was limited for so long because players would build decks that could summon 3 trish on turn 1 to rip the opponents hand lol
@@thebreadboi8825 im telling you can as long as your opponet meets one of the requirements out of the 3 you can still trigger the effect. you cheating yourself i already been through this ruling
Amigo si activas cosas después no cambies de parecer de hecho no se puede hacer, como en juego 2 activaste frezzing y devolviste la jugada tenías que negar algo u hacer special, eso es de tramposos,si haces mal las jugadas pues ya están hechas

Correct . Had this same exact ruling at my locals .
2024 and the Trishula ruling is still a big one for people.

The Ctrl+z move to trish the lady was nasty
That rengoku Matt is flame 🔥
Raiho cannot negate the melodious monster effects because of the fusion. Even if she chose not to discard it would still go through.
at 13:50, u can do trish for only hand/gy/field because it says up to 1
literally like even if they had no cards on field or grave you can still activate trish to hand rip 1
