Yes because he removed the riser pads that were more thicker than the new bumper and the shock pad. If he didn’t removed the riser pads and add the bumper and the shock pad he had to put longer screws. And would be more comfortable, but more higher longboard 🛹
if i buy the bash guard does it come with the rubber shockpad or do u have to buy that on the side, my boosted v2 arrives next week, cant wait but the roads where i live are crap so i'm looking into this to save my board and wana get the shockpad aswell
Oh, and do you know if it´s possible to put Shock Pad Bash Guard + Surf-Co Tail Guard ?Both from flatland3d? Thx! EDIT: Well, seing your video again, I think both could fit together, yeah
Are you Spanish? :) ANyway, how often do you recommend to change bearings?. And also... can we improve speed by, I don't know, putting another kind of bearings?(just asking, I have no idea :P ) thanks!
i simply changed a belt once and i think i stripped it or near...i need those guards...it does add more stress on the screw or change the center of gravity ever so slightly? I also want to add lights etc so when i do crack this open again, i do it all in one fell swoop...there's a local 'old school' bicycle shop that i may recruit to help me maintain Shirley. The ball bearings aspect of your video, i had no clue either and she has almost 500 miles on her in her first month. I'll be checking your test out in the am. It is a bit of a shame that Boosted is not ramping up their product line. If I get balsy and want to get bigger wheels (which would solve so many issues) I would have to cross brand..I'll let you know when i full recoup from a nice wipeout...back on board ...still questioning the logic of staying street wheels though.
Instead of buying new bearings put your old ones in a small Tupperware with rubbing alcohol as shake them in there for like 20 minutes. They will be like brand new trust me, all the sand and stuff slows down bearings and this is the best way to clean it out
hey, great video. since your recording and need bigger wheels check out www.boosterbx.com, they have a nice range extenderf for doubling the range on your board and a Kegels pulley conversion kit for the V1. Check them out.
Are the bolts the board come with long enough to go through the shock and bumper and still he connected to the actual board?

Thanks for this. Boosted is going to be my first ever board so I had no idea what these did or how easy there were to install. So this helped!

Thank u man from 2020!
I think the intention of the two things that stick out was supposed to be for the back instead?
Interesting, why do you think that? The way I see it is since I want it to stand on it's back, it should have the one with the largest surface area.
I just think that it wouldn't fall on its sides.
Thanks for the installation guide! Great video!!!
I love the 5 seconds review ! :)

Thx for the review, we have roads like this in Paris, even worst sometimes, will help !
Damn, only for Boosted board...
May need some all terrain wheels for your area.
