He calls HER selfish when he's not paying any attention to his child? He and his friends can go off and have their circle jerk "tournament" without OP. She already has one child, she doesnt need to be married to another one.
Listening to her thank people for the advice on the postpartum depression and the tongue tie as well as intimacy issues was really wonderful. It was so great that people were able to step up and give her advice on her situation that allowed her to move forward and be healthier. This makes me so happy for her.
Girl it's been 61 years but oh my goodness I remember the cracked nipples. I feel you and you have my sympathy. I hope it gets better soon. Í hate to say it but I really think you should walk away. Individuals who work full time, come home and want to "relax," and complain when their SO asks for help, accusing them of sitting at home on their butts all day - who do they think is doing the laundry, keeping the house clean, cooking, running errands, etc..... And then to do all that on top of taking care of a newborn?! What a bleeping bleeper.
Even if they didn't do any of that, the fact they are stuck at home all day, every day, no actual break time, for weeks, months on end, with a screaming newborn and throbbing infection in thier breasts is hellish enough as is! It is an incredibly isolating time, it was so bad I wanted to end myself when I was going through it.
Says she "doesnt do anything" all day, but then wont help because its "inconvenient"... my dude... if its nothing why you complaining?

Are we all going to ignore the fact that she literally has to beg her husband for help? She’s literally married a manchild. She’s expected to take care of a baby all day, while he gets to just work then play video games as soon as he gets home. There’s no excuse for his lack of parenting on his end. Yes, he works all day, but there are men who work all day every day yet they’re still able to be present & parent their child. OP’s husband’s priorities aren’t straight & she needs to divorce him b/c the way he’s acting it annoying af. She needs to get his a** in check & LEAVE HIM!
And too many people think that being a full-time parent, especially to a newborn, isn't work.
I think the husband is also going though something. Not excusing his actions and attitude; but I do think he is perhaps also struggling with depression and the life changes, and the connection he lacks with the kid. He needs help. Glad that OP is getting it and have a more optimistic outlook on life and the situation.

I was wondering that too. She said 6 weeks have passed since the delivery. Whether she chose not to have visitors around until the baby reaches a few months old or because she doesn't have the courage to face anyone over their so-called "protectiveness", then yeah, arguably not that close....
