I hope your surgery went well and praying for a speedy recovery. Please put my son Brandon on your prayer list. He found out yesterday he has covid. He is 28 but still my baby. He doesn't live near me. I will keep Becky in prayer too. That is nice of you to make jam for him and the day before your surgery.. Bless your heart. My Momma got figs once when my oldest brother rented a place that had a tree full of them. I forget what she did with them probably jam. Your jam looks delicious.
I am doing pretty well. I went back to the dr yesterday and the PA said it looked good. She put me on a stronger antibiotic because rhe bacteria I had was not responding to the antibiotic I was on. If the infection doesn’t clear, I will have to go to an infectious disease doctor for iv antibiotics. I pray the Lord has healed me and that won’t be necessary. I will be praying for Brandon. It is a scary thing but we know God has done greater things and we must believe He will totally heal Brandon! Thank you for your prayers for me and Becky. Thanks for your support!!❤️❤️

I had a pain block when I had the mastectomy, but not this time, so that is the difference I’m sure. It will get better each day I pray. I have completed the glace’ figs, but can’t do the last of my video just yet. Hopefully in a couple of days I can finish it and post it. Thank you Anne! It is called Strawberry Fig Jam. It is made with figs instead of strawberries. The powder is actually strawberry jello. I would think you would be able to buy it in England. Have a great day and thanks for watching!!🥰
When I make fig preserves, I always put lemon or orange peel in with the figs. I love the extra treat when I get a piece of that peel. I guess you could always change the flavor of the Jello to lemon or orange for something different? I hope all went well with your surgery and recovery.
That’s a great idea to add the peel to the jam. I’ll have to give that a try next time!!! I would think you could choose any flavor you would like. My surgery went very well and I am doing really good.😊
Sooooo, wait wait, you used a liquid measuring vessel to measure the sugar, and you scooped the sugar out of the canister with the solids measuring cup?! Why not use the "solids" measuring cup that you had in the sugar jar/bag? 😮
I used the glass measuring cup because I wanted accurate measurements. Using the one in my canister is difficult to dip in and bring it out with it being filled accurately. It has to be brought out at an angle, therefore it is not level with the sugar and since I also needed 1/2 cup I found it easier for me to use one that I could see through. Thanks for watching!🥰
