How To Catch Fish All Day! Even When It's Hot And Sunny!

  • Come along for a fun day on the water as we adapt to high sun and hot temperatures! Watch closely as we run different patterns early and midday to adapt to the changing conditions. Its easy to continue catching fish throughout the day if you use the sun to your advantage and make the right adjustments!
    This time of year a lot of anglers go fishing in the early morning and then head for home before the pleasure boats arrive and midday temperatures rise. Unfortunately for them, midday is often the best bite of the day! High temperatures and high sun push shallow bass into very predictable locations around heavy cover. Targeting shadows and overhead cover is a great way to catch these fish!
    Below you'll find links to the exact baits and gear we used throughout the day. We've included Matt's travel combos, as well as the exacts hooks, colors, etc... for the lures the guys had success with. All the links go directly to Tackle Warehouse where you can see detailed photos and descriptions of each item.

Not even sure if this combo is meant for tube but it feels nice for it, Its a Orochi XX Whipsnake and Twin Power 3000. Feels so good with the netbait finesse tubes and northland short tube. Actual fish slayer, the fish werent biting today taht well with jigs or crankbaits which are pretty good for me right now, but I put on that finesse tube and man probably 8 fish in 30 mins all over 2 lbs, not the best size of fish but the fish do like eating it!

      Fishing without tons of electronics can be a lot of fun, it's a throe back to the way we fished as kids, but there are some real benefits to having at least minimal electronics. Depth, water temperature, mapping, etc... are pretty critical details for both success and safety.
      You don't need giant screens and every new feature, but some level of information will go a long way. A smaller Helix unit and an Ultrex trolling motor will bring you forward 20 years and land you just a step or two behind the most modern advancements. If budget is of major concern, putting one unit on a swivel mount that you can face forward or backward depending on where you are in the boat will save a lot of money.

      Awesome, thank you for the reply.
      It’s for my sons high school bass fishing team. This will be his building a tournament boat on a budget. He’s proud of his 89 Stratos 201 pro he paid for himself.
      We know he won’t beable to have live scope on a 100k boat like the others but maybe they will get lucky and land some thing to weigh in.
      Thanks for all the videos y’all make. it’s been helping him and his partner buy once and not risk spending money on junk baits.

    are you using braid to flouro on bfs? my experience with light line flouro is too much stretch and can't keep the fish under control.

    • @tacticalbassin
      @tacticalbassin  Год назад

      We use both braid to leader and straight fluoro with our bfs setups, just depends on the application.

    • @Th33UnsaltedNut
      @Th33UnsaltedNut Год назад

      I heard the reason you want braid as main line for bfs as it won't expand and contract like floro and mono can. Which can warp your very thin and light spool.

    • @tacticalbassin
      @tacticalbassin  Год назад

      Thats definitely a reach. None of these lines have the strength to warp a modern spool from a quality brand. Now, Putting really heavy braid on a reel and torquing on it could in fact bend a spool, but no one does that because the shallow spool doesn't have enough room for even a single cast with that line.
      Don't worry about it, braid or fluoro will provide great results on a quality BFS reel.
