I have a friend who is a beautiful quilter (I do other crafts), and we often go to quilt shows. I'm very happy to have seen this full video as I will now have a much greater appreciation for the skill, time, and effort required to make a complex quilt like this. Your dedication to the crumb quilting is impressive as it clearly added a great deal of time to the project. Thanks for making such a clear and watchable video!
I absolutely love your wedding ring quilt top! I’m currently making a wedding ring quilt top the traditional way but after watching your tutorial I may be making a crumb piece quilt.
This is probably the BEST tutorial i habe seen for this pattern. I am a fan if freehand piecing the curves. While not always perfect, not doing a bunch of fussing upfront makes it much more relaxed for me. I absolutely love the crumb piecing Chris. Lovely take on a vintage pattern.
Loved your tutorial! Thanks for showing the different ways to piece the curves. I've had this die for a while and this is prompting me to give it a try.
Really liked the tutorial of the quilt going together from beginning to end. Love the solid color you chose, it really makes the crumb pieced arches stand out. Very pretty!
Loved watching the shorts of this, and I just received my DWR dies. I’m excited to make my own version! Great idea to use those orphan blocks that never seem to stop accumulating. Great stuff! Thanks for sharing this full tutorial!
Can you please do a full tutorial on making/cutting the bias binding for the curves? Most videos i see use bias binding for little projects using a fat quarter.
This is fabulous. Right up my alley. I do a lot of miniature stuff. Wonder how this would work for that? Might be truly too much bulk? I just found you thanks to RUclips suggestions. What a blessing and you took the fear out of this wedding ring quilt. You definitely made that crush fabric work perfectly. I really like how the crumb piecing didn't show your missed points. I might forgive myself for that on this quilt.... Nice way to start working on not being perfect seams. Eeegads... Would be awesome for a beginning wedding ring quilt as well. You truly blessed my socks off with this tutorial. Thank you and WOWZER did that Accu quilt cutting save you hours. I love that precision. All in all, I'm hooked and subscribed to your channel. Thank you and I pray you have a blessed life. Keep em coming, I'm hooked... Barb from Tombstone, AZ
Another thing when you are making your pieces is reduce your stitch length 2.0 or 2.4 smaller the better it will mimic more like fiber and not pull apart so easy. Don’t use over that like 2.6 or 3.0 it is easier to fall apart A tip I just heard the other day.
WOW….what a beautiful quilt. I love the crumb piecing. It appears to be more forgiving than cut piecing? As far as sewing the pieces together, the success of the method may vary by sewer. I work better with pins. I have more success with matching with pins.
Why didn’t you cut the arc shapes in paper and paper piece them? I would have but is it a better result on straight pieces first? Either way, it looks great. I’d love to see it reversed to background in scrap and rings in contrast too. Well done, great editing.
Please be EXTREMELY careful about using scraps as pet bed stuffing. If it’s eaten, it becomes a nasty foreign body removal. The threads are extremely dangerous.
Best tutorial on the go die! Thank you!
Thank you also for the clear instructions on piecing the block.
I don’t have Accuquilt but your tips are quite helpful for regular acrylic templates & I thank you!!!
I am in awe of this quilt!
This is gorgeous! I don’t usually keep most scraps but now I’m rethinking that.
Enjoyed the shorts, but it’s nice to see all together. Thanks for sharing the journey

Your tiny iron is super-cute. Your camera work is 👍

Love this quilt Chris, it's beautiful! Thanks for your creative inspiration.
Beautiful quilt. Awesome tutorial. Thank you.
It is fabulous. Love love love it
I look forward to seeing the curved binding
Great video, thank you

I love your tips! Great video. I loved the comparison of methods for piecing the “melons” and the way you stitched the columns together.

Followed this on TT, and loved getting to see it all together in one video! The Crush color is just stunning

That is a good tip! I usually sew at a 2.0 anyway, so I often forget to mention this

I guess that would work too, but you’d have to trim the edges anyway so you’d end up sending it through the cutter again.
2years is still marinating 😁

Thank you, that never would have occurred to me. I’ve never done it but have heard a lot of other folks suggesting it.
@@rosecityoriginals I’m an RVT and have done that surgery far too many times. It’s the worst suggestion and I’ve never understood how it got popular.
I love your tattoo on your arm
